Waiting times for DLA for new claim 2021

Hi the DLA received my claim on the 1st April 21. Does anyone know the current waiting times. Thanks

@Mummy2boys1520 just got through high care low mobility till 2023 she said decision was made yesterday so pleased for all of us

Has anybody had a decision for the start of July new claims yet.

@Mummy2boys1520 so do we need to make tax credits aware or will they do that automatically

@Mummyto2boys22 that's exactly what I got as well say time too. I'm not sure about tax credits as I'm not on them can't help with that one sorry

@Daisydoo5 hopefully looks like we aren't getting texts but we all got it on the same day so hopefully you'll have a decision when you call too

Congratulations to everyone finally getting their claims sorted does anyone know how long it takes to get the disability and carers element on universal credit? I told them nearly two weeks ago and still nothing?

@Alk19 I'm not sure as I'm not on them but have you tried calling them maybe that will help

@Alk19 it’s normally in with next payment of uc I would just send them message on journal

@Mummy2boys1520 I haven't tried calling yet there just as bad to get through to as DLA haha
They've already sorted my bedroom tax out I no longer have to pay that as ds needs his own room just heard nothing else may try calling later today x

@Lhmym yeah Ive tried the journal just no response haha I assumed it would be in the next payment just wasn't sure as I've asked for it to be backdated as well

@Alk19 I found I always seem to get through fast when they just open or just before they close they seem the best times to call any of these places

@Alk19 oh geeze I best tell them to back date at uc forget about backdating

@Mummyto2boys22 I honestly don't know as I don't receive tax credits. But I'd probably just call them to be on the safe side

@Lhmym if it's within the month you should be ok everyone I know have had theirs backdated they even asked me if I wanted my bedroom tax backdated which shocked me

I will get onto them now uc be waiting w week to get throw worse then dla

I called this morning to see if they have received my form (posted 3 weeks ago) they said its not been logged yet if they have and to call back in a week if i dont hear anything 😔

Just got thru still no decision has been made 😔 i really think its guna end up been declined how long the decision maker has had it now x

I actually sent an email to my local council first with his reports and his dla letter I think they then got in touch with uc and then universal credit asked me to fill in the info with them a woman rang me a few days later and 15 minutes after we spoke she sent the decision to my journal on universal credit x

You what I might do @alk19 is get my son social worker who did is risk assessment to right to uc as she’s one who did letter for us for the housing when we had to move from our 2 bed to our 3 bed due to is complex needs thay said boys can no longer share council told us at first thay can share till 21 his social worker seen her back side with council and said no chance can thay share there to meany risk
