i posted on that thread, said I thought the OP's friendship was a little friendship if willing to chuck in the towel because of the behaviour of the child (sn or not)
I was told I was out of order.. gave up in the end
Apparently the op's son shouldnt be subjected to screaming

I just saw this.

I don't know why it happens..when I mention my DD I am always accused of trying to guilt trip people.. I think SN makes people feel uncomfortable.

Am now really wondering what cote's post says.

Am tempted to leave MN again after being called all sorts...DD is being really challenging just now (and choked and almost died today, not kidding) so extra grief is not required. :(

Cotes post wasn't that bad, she just asked Starlight why she didn't say something on the thread [she did] and that she was BU to post a thread about a thread.

I hope she won't mind me writing that, thought it was better to clear that up than have you think the worst.

Deffo don't leave Fanjo! hope your DD [and you] are ok after today.

DD is thankfully fine thanks to the wonderful guy who was working with her on signing when she choked on a smartie, he did heimlich manoeuvre while I just froze!

I am also OK and feeling much better after reading these posts Thanks all round :)

I didn't read all of that thread, btw. Has the OP said that the girl in question has SN?

I and several others said it sounded possible.

I then said if it was possible then it wasnt great to call the child a dreadful brat.

Then..kaboom.

Noone said the OP should be forced to see the girl either but it was assumed people were saying that.

DD seems fine and happy. .she had bad reflux as a baby and toddler so being sick doesn't faze her, thankfully :)

Hi fanjo. Slight hijack. I was on a first aid course last week. They said that ALWAYS after the hiemleck (sp) you need to take the person to hosp to be checked. This is because internal damage can be done.

Sorry to worry you - perhaps call nhs dirct to check?
