Here are some suggested organisations that offer expert advice on special needs.

Why are they laying into Fanjo here?

The playing the violin comment is particularly galling coming from someone who recently started a thread about their own child's difficulties. I had to bite my tongue in that one. Clearly not all difficulties are regarded as equal in some people's eyes.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 08/05/2013 13:13

oh I wouldn't have bitten my tongue, you are a more controlled person than me!

You are wise though as it would just end in an unfair flaming for you.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 08/05/2013 13:13

i was going to stay away from the thread but the playing the violin comment gave me the rage.

Dinkysmummy · 08/05/2013 13:15

That wound me up too fanjo

But you are right about the self flaming and the lines people should go in. These threads tend to go down the same path...

Although stargirl's post was lovely!

ouryve · 08/05/2013 13:16

I specialise in staying under radars, fanjo :o

ouryve · 08/05/2013 13:17

Besides, if i want a flaming, I have a child I just have to look at wrong :o

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 08/05/2013 13:18

A handy skill.

I seem to specialise in barging in and getting right in front of the radar

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 08/05/2013 13:19

My DD can't say many words. But she can say "Mummy" in a really angry flaming fashion and push me out of the room, like I have offended her with my very existence. I often wonder what i have done.

Apparently they cure ADHD, poltergoose.

ouryve · 08/05/2013 14:01

Because children who have ADHD can't possibly be eating properly.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 08/05/2013 14:07

My friend's son blows all the diet stories out of the window.

He doesn't eat..at ALL.

He still has autism.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 08/05/2013 14:08

My DD almost certainly has ADHD.. she eats very well, just leaves the table every minute then goes back shortly afterwards :)

ouryve · 08/05/2013 14:10

DS1 used to eat well and his diet is still not bad, if somewhat limited. Even when he had school dinners, he still had ASD and ADHD - but he was a right PITA in the afternoon because he'd not had enough to eat at lunchtime!

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 08/05/2013 14:11

Yes..DD hardly eats at ALL at school. Then comes home and eats constantly until bedtime, in a really bad mood.

She says the food is nicer here than at school. Maybe I should serve gruel

Ineedmorepatience · 08/05/2013 15:07

I have been over to the dark side and seen the thread about disruptive children in the classroomShock

I havent commented because I try to restrain myself over there, it is hard though. You all said brilliant things on your posts.

Why are there still so many people out there who dont get inclusion and how it benefits all members of the school if its done properly and why are they always so quick to blame the child.

ITS SO BLOODY FRUSTRATING!! Angry

There I feel better nowGrin

StarlightMcKenzie · 08/05/2013 15:25

Ah. Now THAT OP always lays into me.

Doen't like the fact that I ever 'disagree' with public sector professionals.

AmberLeaf · 08/05/2013 16:32

It all boils down to the fact that so many people think that things like ASD/ADHD are just naughtiness and bad behavior all due to poor parenting and a shit diet, that is why they don't think children with such difficulties deserve or are worthy of any consideration, understanding or leeway.

They think it is our fault that we have children like this.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 08/05/2013 17:09

And they are really selfish and call it being honest

AmberLeaf · 08/05/2013 17:13

That violins comment was breathtakingly arseholey though.

Amazing what people are brave enough to say from the safety of their armchair isn't it.

No one is ever this rude in RL, does make me wonder what all the smiley people I deal with daily really think.

Prob shouldn't dwell on that though.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 08/05/2013 18:03

I cannot believe some of these posters are real.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 08/05/2013 18:29

Bingo! PC is mentioned in a flounce

AmberLeaf · 08/05/2013 18:31

'who can be the most PC' what a thick shit she is.

What the fuck does PC have to do with anything?
