Sickening, what else can I do?

Over the weekend I became aware of a You Tube clip doing the rounds that for me is heartbreaking, frightening and has reinforced my determination to homeschool dd from y7.

Posted is a clip of three boys goading an ASD boy to meltdown, what makes it so horrifying to me is that it is taking place inside our catchment school (supposedly a very good school).

I have contacted the school and the governing body, had an acknowledgement telling me there is a meeting tomorrow and HT will contact me personally (led them to believe dd was a prospective statemented ASD pupil)

I've emailed the Inclusion Officer at the LEA and copied it up the chain of command.

I've flagged the clips on You Tube and left the school's contact details as a comment for others equally sickened to complain to the school (I've refrained from responding to the ignorant twats who think it's funny) It's had 35,000 hits Sad

Is there anything else I can do? I'd have liked to offer my support to the child's parents but don't know how to contact them.

Off to bed now but will turn on first thing and flag as many as I can again tomorrow.

'Any SN mums want pm'ing the details and want to register your unhappiness?'

Me too please, as a parent and as a teacher I want to express my opinion.

Merlin would rather a new thread in Chat don't you think? There's a fair bit about me on here that could out me and whilst I wouldn't like it I'd be ok I can't risk ds and dd being recognised.

"Or their MP?"

Have contacted MP before about something else lets just say I don't think she grasps disability issues Sad

The MP might honestly be different about something so obviously wrong as this and their office could do the running for the family in contacting YouTube etc.

insanityscratching · 19/10/2012 07:46

Ok will try our MP as it's so simple to grasp what the issue is maybe I'll have better luck this time.

I"ve reported two pages worth.

Wankers.

Most of the ignorant twats people watching won't realise he has ASD though, they'll just think he has lost his temper.

Hello everyone,

Sorry to be slow off the mark with this!

There's now a new thread in chat on this subject so we'll leave this here. Hope that's ok.

OliviaMumsnet · 19/10/2012 21:23

@merlincat

Have asked MNHQ to move this to Chat but they all seem to be asleep.

Sorry, btw I am usually awake but I wasn't working yesterday.
