I think Dame has it right - which she would in her line of work. Plan something nice and special and he's bound to put in an appearance and put the kybosh on your plans.

Ds1 decided to get things moving halfway through the special lunch we'd planned at our favourite pre-baby restaurant. Fortunately, post-natally he was welcomed by the staff there with open arms and spent much of his first year of life happily stuffing his face, so I didn't feel too short-changed.

Have a good dollop of sex better than a sweep (semen has prostoglandins) at my ageBlush

StarlightMaJesty · 11/06/2012 21:50

Yuck!

StarlightMaJesty · 11/06/2012 21:53

Lol zzzzz!

Gotta call the mw tomorrow to book appt for Thurs. probably ask me if I want a sweep. Dare me to pretend I don't know what she is talking about and get her to explain it to me in detail, including what exactly a cervix is and why it needs to open at all, and express confusion about how the baby is going to actually come out etc etc.?

Right! Bed!

With my last two I couldn't walk for a week before labour due to having a bowling ball head in between my legs.

No bowling balls currently despite this being by FAR the biggest bump I've ever had.

His head has been knocking my left hip for a few weeks though but yesterday started knocking my right one. I think it is quite simply that he hasn't found my pelvis. Or was trying to turn one way for a while but the cord/hand/sonething was blocking the path and it has at last occurred to him to try to turn the other way.

??????

coff33pot · 11/06/2012 22:44

With middle dd I built a brick fireplace suround lol that got me going not because of the workload but the fact I was two bricks short! Drove off to get two and found the colour didnt match. Burst a valve due to my "nesting" and wanting everything ready wasnt going to happen, munched my way through a bang bang chicken from the chinese washed down with lemonade and lime and oh boy the fireplace was handy to grip onto LOL Grin

coff33pot · 11/06/2012 23:21

Meant to say she was two weeks late lol so I was well and truly pissy by then along with being 4 stone heavier!

StarlightMaJesty · 12/06/2012 08:45

Honestly, my backside is the size of a bus. I do hope it is water retention as I tend to put on weight when bfing rather than lose it!

Changethatbulb · 12/06/2012 08:52

My legs were like tree trunks due to water retention. Not sure about my backside though.

Hope you get 'relief' soon. lol. Childbirth, yeah, it's great isn't it Hmm

claw4 · 12/06/2012 09:21

Star i think the only thing that gets smaller, is your bladder Grin

StarlightMaJesty · 12/06/2012 09:22

Not my tripple double chin?

claw4 · 12/06/2012 09:33

Well i have yet to meet a skinny pregnant woman, double chins are all the fashion when your preggers Grin

StarlightMaJesty · 12/06/2012 09:35

Yes but one day soon I MAY not be pg anymore and I'm fairly sure my chin will remain.

claw4 · 12/06/2012 09:40

This is getting a bit boring and DH not here anyway!

Gotta phone mw to book Thurs apptmt.

Mum given up and gone home, but took Ds to school on the way. Dd watching cbeebies. I'm contemplating the housework after having turned the pool around a few times and moving some electrical appliances that were a bit too near it for comfort.

SparkleRainbow · 12/06/2012 12:10

How are you doing starlight?

silverfrog · 12/06/2012 12:12

blimey, at this rate I'll beat you to it after all Starlight!

hope things get going soon, it's miserable waiting about. at least I'll have a concrete date (as long as I don't do the premature labour thing, oh, and book in at the hospital too...) to work with.
