Aww, brings it all back. I hope you are enjoying some new baby cuddles and aren't too shattered. Watch out for the 3 day blues. Thanks

Sounds like you did an amazing job and really trusted your instincts.

Well done. Smile

Congratulations to Star on the safe arrival of "Twinkle" (what do you call a little star?!) and all the "Mckenzie" family!
Great birth story too! Thanks

shazian · 16/06/2012 20:29

Congratulations Smile, well done you & all the family on the birth of your gorgeous baby boy xxx

EllenJaneisnotmyname · 16/06/2012 20:38

Timetraveller, he's asteroid! In fact, I think some on MN think that's his real name!

TheTimeTravellersWife · 16/06/2012 21:31

Welcome to Asteroid!

Reading Star's birth story makes me feel a little broody...that lovely warm smell of a milky newborn baby, happy days...

WetAugust · 16/06/2012 23:13

Welcome Asteroid!!!

What a birth story. It went the way you wanted in the end - excellent.

Flowers for the new mum

pinkorkid · 17/06/2012 00:27

Congratulations! Glad all went well and welcome to baby star.

StarlightWithAsteroid · 17/06/2012 08:50

Thanks Everyone!

Now to face the reality that is changes to Ds' 'routines' etc.

The biggest challenge will be that we need to change the position in the car of his car seat! Wish me luck Hmm

phlebas · 17/06/2012 08:55

Lovely story :)

Good luck with the car seat ... my 3yo tends to flip out about things like that (massive eye roll).

Thanks
starfish71 · 17/06/2012 09:08

Star good luck with car seat! Congratulations again :)

Seriously though well done and enjoy Envy

mariamariam · 17/06/2012 21:55

Aah. I did wonder who had done the school run!
Nice for the midwives to get a genuinely normal birth as well.

We put the car seat in for a few trial trips before adding the baby. Had to take 'Baby Annabel' a couple of times though because in the event ds1 and dd were a bit concerned by the empty seat!

Triggles · 17/06/2012 22:10

Congratulations! Smile

StarlightWithAsteroid · 20/06/2012 22:37

He's a greedy guts!

coff33pot · 20/06/2012 22:42

hahahaa! hes a growing boy! Grin

SparkleRainbow · 21/06/2012 08:48

Congratulations starlight and welcome to the world little asteroid. Smile

StarlightWithAsteroid · 22/06/2012 20:51

One week old today!

I can't believe that since we appealed our statement I have moved twice, conceived, carried to full term and then given birth to a gorgeous little boy, and we're still not at the hearing date.

How much regret would I have if we'd put our lives on hold for the tribunal!?

Please, everyone, keep living!

starfish71 · 22/06/2012 20:55

Happy one week old tiny star!

Will try to remember that, could be the wine I am consuming but want to do something fun tomorrow! :)

mycarscallednev · 22/06/2012 21:04

Ditto wine, but such lovely news, puts all the rubbish into perspective, send huge cuddles, soooo happy for you. xxx

StarlightWithAsteroid · 23/06/2012 16:12

We just bought a pram! And a mat.

DS didn't lose any of his birth weight in the first few days confirming he is indeed a greedy guts!
