Making hay while the sun shines and always adoring Beatrice.

I have chosen the thread title this time, because current circumstances means the sun isn't always shining for Beatrice at the moment. Indeed, she is currently in hospital in a fair amount of discomfort. However, when the sun does shine, and we have bright and clear days, we pack in as much as we can.

When we brought Beatrice home from SCBU, we had the consultant's words ringing in our ears, 'Take her home and make some memories.' I feel confident and proud that we have made a treasure trove of memories, however long Beatrice's life may be. She continues to be surrounded by so much love and adoration from her family and I feel this love has helped her to thrive.

During the difficult days, such as these, we pray hard for peace and calm, and for a quick resolution so we can take our darling girl home and make even more precious memories with our beautiful Beatrice.

As with all other threads, same rules apply , read if you want to, post if you can, but above all, please spare some positive thoughts or prayers for Beatrice.

Still thinking of you, Bea, and hoping for a fast recovery.

Please, please keep praying. We are back in Northampton, but the doctors here don't think she is responding to the oral antibiotics. We physically can't give her an IV. I'm now beginning to panic. I don't understand, she is more comfortable today and her temperature is down from 39.6. She's currently sleeping peacefully with sats in the mid 90s on 1.5litres o2. I just don't understand. Well, I do understand, but I'm not ready to accept there's nothing we can do. Not for Beatrice, not for my baby

Love and prayers for precious Bea and her family.

Cup hang on in there, my ds didn't respond to the oral abs when he was seriously ill with pneumonia and they couldn't get a line in. They decided at the last minute to try a different, non-standard ab and he rallied within hours.

I know it's different because ds didn't have other problems to overcome, but it does show it can be done. We'd just about lost hope for him and yet the change once they started him onthe different antibiotics, even after the first dose was amazing. I was told the original abs were 'gold standard' treatment for children with pneumonia, but they just weren't right for my ds. He came home 24 hours after starting the new abs after being in hospital, not-responding, for over a week on the original ones.

Praying they find a similar treatment for Bea asap and sending lots of love, light and strength.

Junior doc has just informed me that they will do her ECG this afternoon, and the consultant will be in in about an hour to discuss the situation. Please, take her pain away and make her better. I want to take her home to the new house and make lots more memories. Please don't steal more time away, I'm not ready yet.
