Thanks to Thumbwitch for inspiring the title of this new thread. Smile

I will do my very best to minimise my worrying about the future as none of us know what it holds. For now, it's all about celebrating Beatrice's life today, every day.

As always, please feel free to follow us on our journey, and thank you in advance for the wonderful advice I am bound to receive from fellow parents, of SN children or otherwise.

Here's to a positive, uneventful thread!

Glad you and Bea are back home now Cup. Your Mum is a star with her repair work!!

DutchOma · 30/04/2012 16:49

I've SEEN them, both Cup and Bea and they are both just sooo lovely. It took some doing, mainly done by Cup and i couldn't be more pleased.

JustFab · 30/04/2012 18:27

Oh, how lovely Smile. I am so so jealous!

Cup - it is on its way Grin.

strictlycomedancingdiva · 01/05/2012 00:11

Wishing you luck with Tea for Bea, sorry I am too far away, but have virtually visited via JustGiving Smile

OrangeChicken · 01/05/2012 00:32

Another JustGiving virtual visitor (too far away sadly to come in person) logging in to wish you all the very best for tomorrow - I have no doubt that a lovely day will be had by all! Virtual cuddles to the gorgeous little lady who is the star of the show!

DutchOma · 01/05/2012 06:47

I really had no idea that she was that lovely.

weblette · 01/05/2012 08:19

Hope Tea For Bea goes swimmingly :)

BB3 · 01/05/2012 10:05

Enjoy tea for bea - give your girls a big hug from me too xx

Lolaismyfavouriteandmybest · 01/05/2012 12:17

Hope Tea with Bea goes well

I'm a lurker but this has brought me out into the open Smile such a shame I can only visit via just giving. Thinking of you all xxx

fhdl34 · 01/05/2012 16:01

Wow! Just had a nosey at the justgiving page and over £1k now! Hope the tea us going well. Am Envy that others have met Bea, she'll have to do a tour of the country so the rest of us get a snuggle Grin

Northernlurker · 01/05/2012 17:38

I cried too reading what happened in resus. That's one that every medical professional should read because they know a lot but they don't know everything and the human spirit can defy so much.
Cup - we pray for miracles and haven't we seen them? Again and again Bea goes beyond what seems possible.

cupofteaplease · 01/05/2012 17:56

DutchOma We loved meeting you, and the older girls put their new cardigans on as soon as I got them home! I look forward to having a cup of tea together in the very near future Smile.

Northernlurker She's a miracle in my eyes!

Right, Tea For Bea- what a super, manic day! We were busy the entire time it has to be said, but I still mananged time to chat to most people who came. It was lovely to meet the MNers who turned up- was very funny explaining who people are, "Hi, I'm Pippa" then sotto voce Wink, wink, nudge, nudge Wink NB Real names have been changed to protect identities Grin

Anyway, the grand total, so far, is £850! So proud of everyone who has supported us- Go Team Bea!! There should be more money arriving later in the week from other sources, but I'm really hoping we hit the £2000 mark, that would be fab.

Cup. It was great to meet you too. Glad to have a cuddle with your wee girl. She is gorgeous! Your neighbour's son's Victoria Sandwich Cake Was delicious btw!! Please pass on my compliments to him!

JustFab · 01/05/2012 18:59

Cup - any thoughts on doing a Bea Roadshow? Grin.

Lovethesea · 01/05/2012 19:49

Thinking of you all and glad you had a good day today.

coff33pot · 01/05/2012 22:33

Glad it all went well and Envy on those that had cuddles! :)

AliceInordnung · 01/05/2012 23:23

cup if you arranged a Cuddle-athon with Bea for MNetters you would raise even more thousands! Smile Wink

Hope your gorgeous girl enjoyed being the centre of attention today. You are a complete inspiration for organising this while so much else is going on. Huge respect to you.

Hebiegebies · 02/05/2012 19:44

I'd lost this thread for a while, but by following links am back. What a roller coaster your daily life is, but also so amazing in how positive you are.

Friends at church keep asking about Bea, and how they can pray. Do you have anything you'd like us to pray for, for you, Bea, DH, your older girls?

When we talk about answered prayer I think back to your time seeing DR Doom, or whatever her real name is, and how there was a prayer chain that day. Many of us found oursleves praying that you would have peace.

cupofteaplease · 02/05/2012 21:24

A little update from Tea For Bea.

Check out Beatrice's total here!!

OP posts:
trumpton · 02/05/2012 21:31

Oh Sweetheart, What a fabulous amount to raise. Hooray for ''Tiger-Cupoftea please''. How brave you were in A&E and what a wonderful family Bea has.

Sidge · 02/05/2012 21:33

Lovely to read your updates cup and see how Beautiful Bea is doing.

Such a rollercoaster - but so glad to hear she is on top right now. Wish I was closer so I could have cuddles Envy Grin

TheDowager · 02/05/2012 21:40

Never mind the money - where are the PHOTOS!!

cupofteaplease · 02/05/2012 22:04

I'm so sad to admit this, but in the commotion, I forgot to take any photos Sad I'm absolutely gutted because dh,my sister and I worked really hard to make the place look so pretty! It was a MNer's nightmare- bunting and cupcakes everywhere! But also Helen House balloons, masses of vintage china, a raffle, tombola and a couple of games. Bea's sisters had made yellow and black beanbag with a humble bee transfer on, using the sewing machine with Grandma- they sold very well! Add to that, the star of the show had an outfit change half way through.

I am beyond mad at myself that I forgot- it's my wedding all over again, we got no photos of that event either!!

saffronwblue · 02/05/2012 22:05

Wow! You and Bea (and the rest of the Teaset) are amazing. What three lucky little daughters you have.

trumpton · 02/05/2012 22:07

Ah well . The next T4B will need an official photographer < points at self whilst jumping up and down shrieking "Me Me" > ( had I mentioned that I am shy ? )
