It is friday isn't it???

Ive been away Grin. Had my tooth out Tues Shock and then buggered off to minehead Butlins. Got back today.

Huge rota of people to support dh for the 3 days worked really well and ds was a star.

I did my first bit of cross stitch since the spring, and have nearly finished a book, Grin even got my college homework done, Grin Wink

Ds really pleased to see me, (said hello 6 times and 'I miss you' 4 times) Grin

How have all your weeks been?

my week, not as good as yours sign Grin sounds absolutely fab!!

ineed, sounds like you've some interesting times coming up with a new support group Smile Good on dd3 for getting signed off.

a nice quiet, uneventful week here thankfully. Although the next COD comes out next week so I don't think my peace will be long lived Grin We got the report through from dd3's assessments and I'm impressed, they've really got her at her new school, such a relief!

coff33pot · 04/11/2011 18:44

Grin I was seeing double lol!

Glad the break did you good and the household was still intact when you got home sign :)

Week and a half here as per the norm. The statement battle begins which has had my hair raised raised a few days this week but thats enough of that as it will curdle my coffee Grin

Appt back at camhs was promising as the MH Nurse agrees DS should have a second opinion after the last lash up. She has at least confirmed he has many autistic traits along with other issues that need more indepth evaluation and can understand why complex needs is not helping him get the help. In about another week I will have a dawba assessment fully clinically rated so at least that is something else I can waft in the right direction to aid things.

And last but not least DS has had a wonderful week at school which I put in another post and that was my rainbow for the week :)

Hope everyone else is ok!

coff33pot · 04/11/2011 18:47

yes ineed good luck on the new support group :) I wish there was something like that down here. Nice to meet new people too!

Ninja Tuesday is your day of doom for COD Grin So enjoy your final peaceful monday!

creatovator · 04/11/2011 18:55

Sign Sorry you had a tooth out, but glad you got time to yourself after.
Ineed Glad DD3 signed off. Hope things go well with support through the school.
Ninja Really please the new school is so good.

My week up and down. Had in-laws here at beginning. They're great. MIL tidied DDs bedroom Grin Grin. So please. I promised myself I'll gut it when I'm strong enough. Will take a lot of energy.

The craft exhibition I attended was good, but very busy. Bought one or two things, but not as many as I hoped. DD did well out of it though.

Meal for MIL's 70th was good and bad. Good food, but very slow to come. Dcs coped very well, but DH had to go to subway for cheese sandwich for Ds. The staff didn't complain when he brought it in, as Ds was pretty hyper by the time he got it Grin. We'd put his autism card on the table. I wasn't feeling great as I had a throat infection and wondered if I was going to last. Sad. We did get free desserts because everything took so long Grin.

I was back in bed at beginning of week due to infection, but have managed to be up a bit today. Made it out to dd's roman afternoon at school. Managed 30 mins then had to go back to bed. (Her work is great - spelling can be a bit funny at times Confused. Everyone has been told I can only do a very little. DH is going away for the weekend and my parents are coming for the weekend to help out. They're great. Smile

creatovator · 04/11/2011 18:58

coff33 cross posted. Sounds like things are moving forward. That's good. Smile

I agree sign, we are very polite, good job we werent in AIBUGrin.

Forgot to say Dd3 started with the nurture group on monday at school too, she went willingly and seemed to like it. The group have agreed that nothing talked about will be repeated in the playground or classrooms so hopefully she may eventually begin to share some of her fears with them[fingers crossed emoticon].

Sign, glad you had a well earned break,
Ninja glad you had a quiet week,
coff fab about your Ds's week
and creatovator hope you feel better soon and yay to your parentsGrin.

coff33pot · 04/11/2011 19:05

Good! glad the meal went ok! Hope you had nice big fat deserts Grin
Sounds like a lovely place to go especially as they were obviously understanding on the cheese sandwich case Grin

Hope you feel better soon x

Ineedalife · 04/11/2011 19:08

imogen, I havent read your other thread yet but wanted to say sorry you had a rubbish meeting. I totally get not being able to go private, it has never been an option for us either.

I think it is very common for people to end up paying for Dyslexia testing. Its terrible I knowSad.

creatovator · 04/11/2011 19:09

Yes coff33 Everyone took a dessert. I had sticky toffee pudding and it was delicious [big very fat grin]

I'm slowly getting my energy back thanks after a summer of antibiotics Sad

signandsmile · 04/11/2011 19:14

Sounds like people have had some mixed weeks..... ds has gone off to bed, having had a whole, actual, proper, story read to him, Grin Grin ie one with more than a sinlge sentense on each page, Yay Elmer! I think it is possibly a combination of being too knackered to protest and also liking having mummy home again... but I was dead chuffed.... ( I should go away more often, LoL Grin. )

I have the Wine open here, so will pass one over to anyone who needs one...

Had a helluva week, most of which is at least, partially resolved.

I'm sat here now, with a fag and a half pint mug of coffee topped up with Baileys.
Grin

Triggles · 04/11/2011 19:18

sign - wow - you've had a busy week, but it sounds like mostly positive, which is great. (except for the tooth - ouch!!)

ninja - something to be said for nice quiet and uneventful eh? Grin Glad your dd's new school is up to speed

coff33pot - oh, statements! good luck - it's harrowing, isn't it? good to hear that camhs is supportive!

creatovator - oh no, week started out well then sounds like it crashed. Hope you're feeling better soon!

imogengladheart - nice that you had a good swimming lesson. I really need to get DS2 into lessons, but I have been procrastinating.

ineedalife - lol a fight over a thread in AIBU can get scary indeed! Best of luck to your DD in the nurture group.

It's been a rubbish week for the most part, but today has been good. Relaxed and got a lot done here in the house, as well as had a friend over for coffee this morning. Feeling genuinely human! DS3 is asleep in bed, and DS2 is playing the UDraw on the Wii. DH is still at SILs until Sunday, although I spoke to him once tonight (to double check on hooking up the Wii as one of the parts was misplaced) and a text this morning from him to see how the boys were. So I think all in all it will be a good break for us, and hopefully he can come back Sunday and we can make some changes. We'll see.

coff33pot · 04/11/2011 19:18

ooohhh! my favourite tipple Grin

Triggles · 04/11/2011 19:19

dawndonna sounds good.. stuck with plain coffee here though. Grin

Dawndonna · 04/11/2011 19:24

Sorry Triggles, happy to pass the bottle over, I don't have to go anywhere other than the couch this evening. Got the new X men film and we all plan to curl up and watch it later.
(They find the cinema too much, so we wait for dvds).

slowburner · 04/11/2011 19:26

Here's to holidays and meals out Wine cross stitch and books, good schools, happy children and get well soon wishes Thanks

This week better than last, we've contacted a local CP charity who agree DD needs a lot more support and they run a motor skills clinic which we can join, sadly it is only run the days I work but I will just have to arrange something with nursery and with work. I managed to attend a statistics course and for someone who has avoided maths for 30 odd years and is reasonably dyslexic I'm proof to say I finally understood about 70% of what I need to know. Regression, correlation, standard deviation and normalisation no longer scare me! Yay!

DD has had a fab week, portage were ace on Tuesday and have agreed to another set of sessions while we wait for the local support to kick in. We've also bought DD a glow bug which has stopped the screaming in the car now it's dark.

We've got a waitrose Indian meal for tea, and once DD is asleep, I so hope that is soon, we will be cooking and eating. And I may just have some chocolate raisins too for later :o

signandsmile · 04/11/2011 19:43

slowburna sounds like you had a postive week, (we loved portage too, Grin.)

Triggles am hoping this is start of a new chapter for you and DH, really plsed you have had a good week.

Good week here, I officially have a boyfriend! It's rather good because he has diabetes related sight issues so kind of understands some of the rotten bits about not driving etc. 2nd ever boyfriend, and 4 years since the last one so feels a bit weird...

Got an assessment on Wednesday for a temp job with Royal Mail, over Christmas as well :)

Sadly one of my lovely friends from the charity shop I volunteer in is in hospital and they're not sure what's wrong with her :(

Triggles · 04/11/2011 19:49

sign Grin pass me some of what you're having please! LOL Thank you though, I am hoping so too.

LollipopViolet · 04/11/2011 19:53

Ah, knew I forgot something in my last post. Stupid fireworks, tomrrow is going to be horrible :(

Hope everyone is OK :)
