DLA wait times August 2022

I made a claim for DLA 5th August so thought id start this for others who have made a claim same time!!!
My little boy has kabuki syndrome, severe hypotonia, feeding difficulties and sleep difficulties. Very anxious waiting a decision!!!!

Anyone got paid today seen someone been awarded from 1st august I’m 2nd but it wasn’t even with decision maker yesterday so think next week

Yeah I got told the same thing yesterday my scan date is 3rd and I'm currently waiting on the phone to them now it's worth giving them a ring x

So annoying isn't it. I get that it's hard to put an exact date or time frame on it, and I think it can depend on who it gets assigned to as to how quickly it's assessed once it goes to a CM/DM. But if they had some sort of portal where you could see the status, what dates are currently being worked on, when it has been assigned etc, it would save everyone having to call all the time and save them from having to look it up and have these conversations every time someone calls! I've only called them twice. First to make sure it was received and second time to make sure they got the additional information I sent. It's taken a lot of willpower not to call more than that!

I gave up ringing in the end! It's ridiculous and I always ended off feeling worse after I'd spoke to them! Keeping my fingers crossed for you xxx

@Gemma96x, yes my daughter got awarded last Tuesday I never got a txt I rang on the Monday and got told nothing then had payment Tuesday morning & a letter Thursday, have you herd anything today? Xxx

It’s such a long anxious wait 😣. Seen so many declines it is hurting my heart!!!!

Have just this morning been to see lissys pediatrician they think she has all the signs for autism and adhd plus hypermobility. I'm on week 12 of the 13 week wait and her care needs have increased in that time including additional stuff than that we put on the form. Is it worth sending off extra evidence or waiting now till I hear?

@Lissysmum21 I’d send it next day delivery just so it’s there for them to look at when they review x

I would send it but they may not even get it by time they look at your claim. Make sure you have copies for home too incase you have to send again at any point. Issue is with the Royal Mail strike everything is delayed too. I would definitely go for it and if they receive it’s a bonus x

Well at the end of week 13 from scan date (actually week 15 from returning forms why did I print myself 🤦‍♀️) I have no money and no decision. Scan date 2nd August and didn’t have cm on Tuesday. Just seen on another page someone awarded from 4th august again and only sent in two pieces of evidence. I am wondering if the reeks of evidence might now delay slightly. It’s obviously going to be quicker to make decision on two pieces rather than like 30. So I’m thinking next week I may finally be at the end of this hell, with hopefully money and a decision. Hi guys I'm 14 weeks and still getting told not even with a dm yet they told me next 2 weeks. Everytime I ring I get told different everytime so I've got no idea to be fair I don't think they know there jobs. This is frustrating 😤 just want to know yes or no. I'm at the point where I'm feeling in my stomach my son will be declined as its soo hard to get the things in life your children deserve and are entitled too 😪. But good luck every1 today X

I rang this morning! Still nothing but shes made it so ill get a text when a decision is made, stop me from ringing probably 🤣🤣

Scan date 25th July and my DS has been awarded, never received a message had to phone and he is getting middle rate care with a back payment coming into my account soon.

Nearly actually cried on the phone when the man told me!

Yea Same with me it's taking the piss abit I think now I think I no my son will be denied anyway x
