I applied for my son just over a year ago and he got mrc & lrm it took 8 weeks, my daughter has the same condition but is worse than my son I'm dreading her being turned down when he gets what he is entitled to! I think it's something we all worry about especially with the amount of time that they're making us wait for a decision I can't remember feeling so frustrated and nervous last time round😬 xx

Yeah well my son has autism so has behaviour meltdowns and extreme behaviour smashing the house up ect but its so hard to show evidence off this.

Same as my son! He also has non epileptic seizures and is up all hours having meltdowns it's so hard but he was awarded dla last year, try not to worry xxx

What a beautiful name! I’m definitely biased as my name is Elysia too haha.

I am currently on week 8 of waiting. They only received mine on the 22nd of August. I rang today and he said they are working on July 18th currently. I have a while yet. He said around 4-5 weeks wait but I’m guessing it’ll likely be more.

This whole waiting malarkey makes me so anxious and I keep finding myself doubting my application. My son has Autism and earlier this year finally got his diagnosis. I just keep thinking maybe I didn’t supply enough evidence, maybe I answered some questions wrong, maybe I didn’t do this or that!! I’m driving myself crazy. He also has issues with his legs and lower back which we are still awaiting an appointment with the rheumatologist to check his joints ect. I’m almost certain he has hyper mobility but they have to cross off arthritis ect first.

Does anyone else just find themselves doubting their applications? I’m honestly driving myself mad over it. I sent his SEND plans, had a teacher who worked closely with him throughout last year add info, sent his ASD diagnosis report ect but I’m still worried that it’s not enough.

someone please send me some of their sanity. Thanks!!!

Yeah I'm soo nervous as I'm starting to think I have t sent enough evidence in as I only sent my sons asd report in with the form I'm currently on week 11 tomorrow I also fount the form itself on questions was quite hard for me personally to fill in but I tried my best so just waiting to hear a outcome. X

Weez88 · 19/10/2022 12:28

Has anyone heard anything today? X

Gemma96x · 19/10/2022 13:11

No I haven't x

Weez88 · 19/10/2022 13:14

I've just seen a lady on another post say she has phoned today her scan date is the 18th July (day before ours) and it's with the dm and will have a decision by the end of week so fingers crossed 🤞!!

Gemma96x · 19/10/2022 13:15

My scan date was the 3rd august so I prob have about 2 weeks still to wait x

Weez88 · 19/10/2022 13:30

Hopefully it won't be too long for us all and we get a decision soon! Xx

RunPamRun · 19/10/2022 18:12

Hi @Bunnysarah sorry I didn't ser that you'd replied 🙈 Yes I sent it recorded. Spoke to someone today who confirmed they'd received it, and that they're working on July 18th applications as someone said yesterday. So that's about 13 weeks for most people, which isn't great but could be worse! Puts us at about 9th November. Hopefully some of you start hearing soon.

Weez88 · 20/10/2022 15:07

Has anyone heard anything today? My anxiety has hit a new high sat around waiting to hear hoping I've sent enough evidence with daughters claim xx

Gemma96x · 20/10/2022 18:12

Hi no still heard nothing yet I'm thinking the same don't think I've sent enough in for my son other than my say so and diagnosis report X

Gemma96x · 20/10/2022 18:14

Weez88 can I ask what stuff you sent it with the claim form xx

I sent off the mental health assessments all the ADHD assessment and the asd referral with supporting evidence from the child psychologist, I've also sent the minuets from the taff meetings with the local council, doctors, psychologists and school. I've also give them the details of the eating disorder she has plus a assessment school have done to prove how she ate goes but I m thinking I've not sent the right or enough evidence! God I hope I have xx

Bunnysarah · 20/10/2022 18:41

Im prooer stressing because my little boy is only 13 months old! Ive sent the pediatricians report, speech and language report, document with everyone involved in his care, and a letter of isaacs diagnosis.i know they say dont send appointment letters but i have because they are relevant to the care. Even if they only award me for a year with him being so young and then i apply again!

Its such a stressful wait isn't it, I only sent off elysias kindey and heart reports the rest of her testing was pending. She's had one of the tests since applying but I'm yet to have the results

Gemma96x · 20/10/2022 19:20

Try not to worry so much I no its easier said than done but I only sent my son diagnosis report as this is all I have due to waiting for a appointment with the pediatrics as doctor referred him too but other than this I have nothing so I'm very doubtfull that he will be awarded anything to be honest X

MissEllie2 · 22/10/2022 18:08

As far as I am aware they are still working on July applications! I follow this Facebook page full of people claiming/waiting on claims and looking for advice! Mine was scanned the 22nd of August so I’m looking at around end of November to middle of December! I’ve decided that I’m going to send off sleep diary, contacted OT from recent appointment and going to send that too, plus managed to ask GP for his medical record even if it’s just them referring him to rheumatology and sleep medication prescribed. Knowing I have a few weeks left is enabling me to copy and send more evidence which makes my anxiety slightly less. The issue for me is that a lot of his care is just based at home. He has his ASD diagnosis and school work alongside the educational side awaiting EHCP ect but how do I prove how much care he has at home?! It’s so difficult.

Gemma96x · 24/10/2022 13:58

And one had a update yet

MissEllie2 · 24/10/2022 21:03

From what I’ve heard they are working on claims up to the 26th of July now

MissEllie2 · 24/10/2022 21:05

Weez have you called them? If not I would call tomorrow and ask for an update, I’ve seen lots of people saying they’ve been awarded/denied with claims scanned the 18th of July

I'm fed up of ringing them, I just get fobbed off and told to ring back on such and such date if I've not heard anything. I don't think she has been awarded it if she had I'd of heard from them xx
