DLA wait times August 2022

I made a claim for DLA 5th August so thought id start this for others who have made a claim same time!!!
My little boy has kabuki syndrome, severe hypotonia, feeding difficulties and sleep difficulties. Very anxious waiting a decision!!!!

Im the 5th! This is killing me 🤣

Oh wow, our scan date is the 8th, ao potentially could go to a decision maker this week 🤞🏻

My date is the 3rd Aug was told it should have been with a case manager so they was sending it over so don't no if its with a case manager yet as I called this morning x

@Gemma96x OH WOW! So you are the 3rd and it should be with decision maker??

It might be they said it should have been passed over to a case manager but it wasn't when I phone this morning x

Can I ask what evidence people have sent in and been awarded? I'm panicking really bad that I've not sent enough or full the form in properly for my son X

My date is 2nd I sent tons of evidence and I’m so anxious hoping that he gets it he deserves it

Hi I only sent a diagnosis report and that's all .y scan date is the 3rd august xx

I have sent seven years worth of it I got full gp record autism diagnosis educational psychology report occupational therapy report speech therapy reports school reports paediatrics report school send plan and referral letters plus other bits probably it was a huge file. I don’t know how they could say no but they can. I’m more paranoid aswell as I get pip and don’t want it to effect either it’s not my fault we both need help. It’s sad it makes you so paranoid and anxious and you are just asking for what you’re entitled to.

Ok I caved and after a hour hold mine is still not with a case manager yet but again “any day now” do you think they give them a list of catch phrases to tell us 🤦‍♀️

@Cazxmxp13 i was on hold for 45 mins then gave up!!! I too am very nervous. My little boy is only 13 months soon to be 14 months.so im nervous thatvhe is too young! He is seen by pediatrician, speech and language, dietician, OT, physiotherapy, and has been excepted for a portage worker but not sure what that is!? He was diagnosed earlier this year with kabuki syndrome, global development delay and severe hypotonia so also sent that in. He is due to have a peg feed at the end of the month so told them that too but fuck me the wait is agonising! The money can help pay for his equipment that is not covered by OT and i had to leave my job as he requires so much care. Anyway there is my life story! 🤣🤣

I get it I need to do work on house to give him his own room we need money for that n extra therapy instead of huge waiting lists fingers crossed for everyone

Does anyone know if I'm allowed and also how to send more info in like hospital letters? I didn't send any with original application .

He is 5 and yes I applied . They received the form 30th sept . What about you? How old is your little one? Are you uk?

@MimiBeee yes we live in merseyside. He is soon to be 14 months. Currently living on around 3 hours sleep a night as he just does not sleep!!! 🤣 And im on 3 hourly syringe fed milk feeds until he has had his peg fitted 😭
