@LikeThatNotThat , I live off overnight oats, absolutely love them, only they have never been overnight. Last year I was working 12 to 4 ( no break ) so made them in the morning and took into work with me, ate as and when during the shift, now Im early starts 6 till 10, I make them when I come in - and now this cold weather, Im actually nuking the berries till they are hot, mixing with the oats, then putting the yoghurt on top. I eat them at night when Im fancying a snack
I make my own yoghurt, its so thick its like clotted cream and really makes for a luxurious treat - but its free . I also buy the light and free in lemon - so refreshing for a wee mix up :)
Yep Im a huge fan of them. When Im maintaining I use muesli , the wee bit of dried fruit and nuts through it as well makes for a really nice dish
Ive had a good week so far - all meals on plan, no alcohol, and only the very odd syn'd treat - a Cadbury rose or a wee marshmallow , nothing major
The cold and snow is helping. Ive 3 different vegetable syn free soups made so everyone is catered for and dinners have been hearty stew types - lots of free and speed being eaten and when theres lots of gravy, plain boiled potatoes arent a hardship :)
Im just here waiting for the dinner to cook tonight, roast chicken dinner - free. I roast all the veg in the air fryer and it really does make very good roasties , not got a lot of green veg as I wasnt driving into town, our roads arent gritted out this far and the local shop had nothing, but Ive a bit of broccoli here and peas will do along with the parsnips and carrots
As I knew I was going to be short on the green stuff, lunch was a huge salad on a slice of bread with sliced chicken and hardboiled egg and a bowl of leek and potato soup
I always have a hearty lunch because Im up from 5 and dont eat till I get in, by which time Im ready to eat a scabby horse
Pre SW, Id make a sandwich and a packet of crisp, then be hungry again about four, go make another sandwich, then wouldn't want my dinner - pick around it - then of course hungry again at 10 so more bread and biscuits
