Just half off this week, was a bit disappointed, but it's still a loss. Onward and upward

Slowly and surely is the way forward!

Wilma55 · 23/03/2024 11:58

Partner is cooking tonight so will definitely not be SW friendly. Baked camembert, lasagne and raspberry pavlova! So far today I've had cereal and milk (A+B) and a hifi bar (3 syns). Home made soup for lunch so 12 syns for tonight!

@Wilma55 that’s sounds amazing.

I went to Nando’s with my ds at lunchtime and although I made a good choice calories wise it won’t fit into the plan really. Just sitting down with the new magazine to have a proper read and see if there’s any inspiration for the week ahead!

Testarossa44 · 24/03/2024 09:09

I’ve had a reasonable good week, so hopefully a loss tomorrow. Been a mad week, I’m a nanny and look after 3 kids (8,5 and 3) and good lord they’ve been wired this week!! I should have lost a stone just from trying to keep a lid on them (pretty much failed lol) I was grateful when Friday came round. Could have done with a glass of wine when I got home, but I didn’t I had a tea lol!

TomWambsgansSwans · 24/03/2024 21:43

I've dropped off a tiny bit of- put on 1.5lb this week but I'm going to really focus this week!

I was told at the doctor this week I have high cholesterol which isn't great. But I was weighed and I came in with a normal BMI (24) which I was so pleased at!

Wilma55 · 25/03/2024 15:20

Well done @TomWambsgansSwans, I've had a blood test this afternoon, thyroid, cholesterol, iron etc etc. Am hoping I won't need statins but despite changing diet and losing weight (still bmi 26) I think my cholesterol level might still be too high.

Testarossa44 · 25/03/2024 21:47

Much better this week, 1.5lb off, makes 11.5lbs in total. Another 1.5 and I'll change the number at the front! 😊

Wilma55 · 26/03/2024 14:43

Well done @Testarossa44 it's weird how good changing that front number makes you feel. Half a pound off for me, still in 🎯 range.

Did you used to be Testarossa1? I've been reading some old SW threads for inspiration!

Yes, I was Testarossa1, but I forgot my password and it was on an old email couldn't access to get the password reset, so I had to start again!

Wilma55 · 29/03/2024 07:00

Good luck over the Easter weekend everyone. I'm not having an egg but have some mini rabbits, 59 calories each (3syns). That's the theory anyway!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 29/03/2024 07:06

I maintained when I weighed in yesterday which I felt was a lucky escape to be honest, I’ve not had a great week- loads of chocolate and extras have been eaten.
I ended up having all my Easter excesses last night- I had wine, pizza, dough balls, pudding…. Now drawing a nice line under all that and can go back to being on plan. I genuinely think that knowing it was all coming on Sunday was just playing havoc with my discipline so I just thought I’ll do it now and get it over with.

today- I need to go to a supermarket to do a proper shop, I never normally go in person but as it’s BH I will. I got a new/replacement Garmin watch yesterday as my old one kept freezing on runs so I want to go and try that out. Just a shortish run though as I’m planning a long one for Sunday.
Food wise, I feel really dreadful after my splurge yesterday so I think I’ll be drinking lots of water and trying not to resort to stodgy carbs to get me through. We don’t have any social plans for the weekend although that may change, but for now at least it is completely possible to have a nice weekend and stay on track. I could get my stone award next week with a 2lb loss and that would coincide nicely with reaching my first target and the end of a countdown (so I could get a couple of free weeks while I I lose a further 3lbs before reducing it again)

BackWednesdays · 29/03/2024 08:12

Yippee weighed in yday down from 11 stone 8 to 11 stone 3.5 😀Lots of fruit is my method and no booze mon to wed

BackWednesdays · 29/03/2024 13:28

I had quite a nice syn free salad: tin of tuna, fat free yoghurt, lemon juice, capers, red onion all mixed up and served on little gem leaves

thenewaveragebear1983 · 29/03/2024 21:36

Oooh that sounds good @BackWednesdays . I love salads, genuinely it’s my favourite food, but I get so bored of them and I never try new ones.

TomWambsgansSwans · 30/03/2024 20:47

Argh I've not had a great week, I put on +3lbs! I think I am a bit carbed up but I need to draw a line underneath it!

thenewaveragebear1983 · 30/03/2024 21:04

Me too @TomWambsgansSwans, Thursday, Friday and today I’ve started off great and ended up with wine, junk food and chocolate. I’ve sat tonight and eaten my entire Easter egg and 8 lindor salted caramel- not because I especially want them, just because they are talking to me and I want rid of them. I want to get back in the game! Now they are gone, from tomorrow I can be back on plan- in theory…. 🤔

thenewaveragebear1983 · 31/03/2024 08:01

Urgh I ended up eating half my chocolate egg as well last night. I must say, I was very disappointed in my Lindt egg. Tasted very cheap and thin chocolate. Still ate half of it though……

anyway. Line drawn now. Enough junk food! I feel really tired and sluggish. We have a roast dinner today but nothing else planned. I can get a good five days on plan before weighing in on Thursday.

I’m going for a run this morning. I wanted to do a really long one but I’m not feeling it now, but when I get out I should be ok. I also really really need to do some stretching or yoga today, I have a tight hip and it’s giving me trouble.

end of March, I’ve not had a particularly successful month to be honest. I reckon I lost about 3-4lbs officially but because of my weekend of excess and water retention I reckon I’m probably heavier now than I was on 1st March 🤦‍♀️ summer is looming, I want my stone award this week (unlikely if I have several pounds of bloat to shift as well as 2lbs) and I have been putting off the big ‘try in and clear out’ of my summer clothes because my plan was to actually fit into them before I did that…..

TomWambsgansSwans · 31/03/2024 22:24

@thenewaveragebear1983 same, I don't think March has been a classic for me!

I was at my DM's today, she made roast lamb and vegetables.

I then had afternoon tea Smile tbh I feel as though Easter Sunday is fine tk draw a line under. Tomorrow is a new day, a new week and a new month so I'm starting again then!

DH bought me an Easter egg which is handmade by a friend of ours who is a chocolatier, they are lovely but not massive so I'll just enjoy it in all honesty!

Testarossa44 · 01/04/2024 09:03

Weigh in later. Been away over the weekend, been 2 big breakfast and an evening meal. Hoping for a maintain as we did walk 14 miles over the 2 days. That's got to count for something! Got a choc orange Easter egg, which I've broken up and put in the fridge, hopefully I'll not be tempted to eat the whole lot in one sitting!

TomWambsgansSwans · 01/04/2024 19:23

Good luck @Testarossa44!

Testarossa44 · 01/04/2024 20:38

Half off tonight. Very happy with that after a weekend away. Another 1lb and I'll change thr number at the front.

TomWambsgansSwans · 02/04/2024 16:18

That's brilliant @Testarossa44!

I have been feeling a bit more like myself this week as I'm having some holiday time.

I've got back to having yoghurt and fruit for breakfast and just being a bit more active. I feel like I'm ready to start going for target again now having put in +4.5lbs in the last two weeks!

Wilma55 · 03/04/2024 07:38

Didn't go to WI yesterday but am back on track now after a bit too much wine and chocolate. It feels good to be back in control.

I've eaten loads over the holiday weekend - party just enjoying it but also if I'm honest quite a lot of emotional eating as I am worried about eldest DD who is at uni and not communicating. Anyway I'm going back to SW next Monday... Will face the scales and get back to it I hope!

TomWambsgansSwans · 03/04/2024 13:28

I'm out with my DD and have had a jacket potato, cheese and beans for lunch with salad Halo and I also had a blood test this morning so I walked there and back.

Trying to drink lots more water to make sure I'm giving myself a good chance of weight loss this week!

I had yoghurt, Kefir and frozen fruit for breakfast for the third day running - yesterday DH (who is usually really strict with SW, he got to target ages ago) and DD had sausages and pancakes! I didn't actually feel hungry until about 11.30 today so maybe I'm getting used to it!
