Has anybody else got the fast feasts cook book?

Up 0.5lb this week. Thought that would be the case, as I have been pretty off plan all week. Going to try and be back on plan for all meals accept work lunches. Lunch is provided free at work, and I can't turn that down 🤣 but I will try and avoid the pies next week.

Well done to everyone with losses this week. I haven't been on the thread much, as just started a new job and been super busy with that just now.

Rockingcloggs · 21/01/2023 11:18

@LightandAiry Yes I got it today! Not had chance to have a good look yet!

Wilma55 · 21/01/2023 12:34

Lots of good losses this week, well done. Back to group today after 5 weeks, including my Christmas cruise! Have been back two weeks and trying to stick to plan more or less. Was pleased to be only 1.5 pounds more than previous WI. Lots of new members many with 4 and 5 pound losses.
I also won the raffle for the first time ever, some useful meal prep containers from Aldi ☺

Lost half pound this morning and decided to take Target instead of paying for another couple of weeks for 2lbs. (my 12 weeks were up and it was consultants suggestion not mine) Then I can use the 3lb fluctuation to get to my target.
The lady who weighs said to me later if you want to go lower just put a bottle of water in your pocket when you get weighed. 😊

Wilma55 · 21/01/2023 15:46

Ha ha @Carpediem15 will do something similar if I ever get back to 🎯

TheGirlWhoLived · 22/01/2023 14:35

Done my first three days on plan, feeling good about everything and managing (albeit by using ready meals) to stay on plan with the kids off which is good!
I have a question for people with more experience than I… when I scan for example marinated chicken 350g (175g each), It comes up with ½ syn per portion- the portion is stipulated at the beginning as 175g
however when I scan mashed potato (425g pack) it just says 3.5 syns per portion. How do I know what the portion is, or is it just by packet of 425g and if it’s lower it would have said?

Wilma55 · 22/01/2023 14:43

The one I just found on the app is the Tesco one, it's 3.5 for the 425g pack, it doesn't say per portion so is for the pack. That's my understanding. Hope that helps.

TheGirlWhoLived · 22/01/2023 15:00

Cheers! Yeah that’s what I got to aswell

searchingforme · 22/01/2023 18:04

I’m doing well 2nd weigh in in Tuesday it’s my time of the month and usually I find the scales don’t move much that week so I must not be too disappointed if I don’t lose! I know I’ve been on plan that’s the main thing I’m feeling good about it looking forward to being lighter!

PattyBladell · 23/01/2023 10:13

Hi 👋I took the plunge and finally joined yesterday. I've got around 5 stone to lose

I buy that mash all the time and track it as 1.5 as I basically live with Badger off of Bodger and Badger who eats most of it and I don't get a look in 😂.

Life is too short to make your own mash when you can buy it for 85p!

pharmacoco · 23/01/2023 20:47

How's everyone getting on? Third weigh in and hit the 1/2stone mark hooray! I've got another 1/2stone to go.
Went to Aldi for the big shop today and I think there were at least 5 of us scanning food on the SW app Smile

TheGirlWhoLived · 23/01/2023 22:51

First weigh in today and it was 6lb off 🥳💃🏽 I’ve maybe been hitting it a bit too hard with not having many syns - so I will up them so it is more sustainable. Really excited and got my get up and go back already. I’ve done a couple of long walks (town and back so 5 miles ish) this week too, tons of water.

the big thing keeping me going when I’m feeling like a large glass of wine and takeaway (Friday I’m looking at you!) is that adage of remember why I started…. I’m just ordering some little weights to start a bit of toning

Wilma55 · 24/01/2023 08:14

More Body magic ideas here, though must admit haven't tried them or any from the SW app!

Well dodon@pharmacoco and @TheGirlWhoLived I don't think k I've ever lost more than 3lb in a week.

TheGirlWhoLived · 24/01/2023 11:59

@Wilma55 but I started off at 16st so at 5ft1 I’ve got a decent amount to lose. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great start but the very very tip of a large iceberg. Or fatberg if you will

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 24/01/2023 11:59

I lost 2lbs,had weigh in on Monday. Happy with that. Had my hair cut this morning and I haven't had my hair cut since I started SW, I was very pleased with my reflection in the usually unflattering mirror 🤣

was there anything particularly low syn or surprising you could recommend? I love aldi.

had some wins at Tesco, there’s a Thai style fresh chicken Breast which is delicious and only half a syn. Also the heck chicken, red pepper and feta burgers are 2 syns- much easier than making my own!

If you don't know already their oat topped deli rolls, 4 pack, are amazing and HEB.

TheGirlWhoLived · 24/01/2023 12:13

Nope I didn’t know! Perfect, they’ll go nicely with some halloumi for dinner. I had some pecan pie oats from marks and Spencer for breakfast- they are healthy extra B and really tasty!!

Thanks for that link, didn't know they had any on there. I like the yoga one and will use it.
I would recommend Aldi frozen fruit, Chocolate Weetabix things and the fat free Greek yogurt in the pink tub. The 4 berry medley comes in a large bag and are cheaper than anywhere else. The Weetbix are 2 for HEB and I do them crushed up and add a little water to soften then put them in the bottom of the bowl, add the berries and top with the yogurt then I sprinkle a few seeds on them - 1 syn - and a little more fruit.
I bought some flavour drops online from MyProtein (half price) and use them instead of buying flavoured yogurt, I find the Skinny syrups too sweet.

pharmacoco · 24/01/2023 20:46

Aldi - I have a sweet tooth. If I was to eat the whole pot it's 7.5syns Grin

Went a bit rogue this evening. The whole thing went to hell in a handcart and I ended up eating a crumpet,m (7) two freddo’s (5 each) and instead of eating a healthy slimming curry, I have eaten 8 quorn nuggets (8) mash (3.5) and gravy (2)

i was on the very cusp of ordering pizza so there’s that slimming win but it means after syning everything, that I have eaten tomorrow and Thursdays syns ALREADY. That’s going to be a fun free couple of days for sure 😩

oh well. No wine (didn’t have any in) and no takeaway so at least I’m within the realms of sw still

Dahliasrule · 25/01/2023 10:57

@TheGirlWhoLived , I think you did very well to resist further temptation. Also you we’re very aware of what you were eating and adding it up, I am sure that helped you to reign it in.
