Joining if I may. Joined Thursday for the fourth time (sigh).
Had dreadful weekend -but mindfully dreadful and nowhere near as bad as I would have been had I not joined!
Today marks fresh start.
Breakfast: yoghurt
Lunch- frittata and leek/ butter bean soup
Tea will be a SW recipe curry and trice
Treats will be likely a pack of low syn crisps or an ice lolly
Had a whole big Easter egg last night and felt sick so back off chocolate altogether now for a bit (gave it up for lent, but ate sweets instead- pointless!!)

Welcome @MrsBDarcey we are a friendly bunch here!

Your meals today sounds lovely, is the soup a sw recipe?

MrsBDarcey · 18/04/2022 16:56

I'm ashamed to say it came from a dreadful newspaper (via my mum, I hasten to add) but originally from BBC good food
Fry onion and leek (2 large ones) in fry light and add water if it sticks (mine did a bit). Fry 15 minutes. Then add 2 cans butter beans with their water and 500ml veg stock and simmmer for about 5 minutes. Then blend. Was tasty and free by my reckoning

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 18/04/2022 17:17

Sounds lovely I do like butterbeans.

Here's my meals from the last few days....

Sat....

B...hot cross bun shredded wheat and blueberries

L....itsu noodle pot 1 syn. Apple

D.... sausage and butterbean casserole, mash and calvero Nero

Sun...

Took day off SW for Easter and loved it 😂

Today so far.....

Brunch.....fake mcmuffin so 2 Quorn patties 1 syn in a hex b brown bagel, poached egg on top and spinach, mushrooms on the side. Tiny bit of brown sauce.

D.... about to make chicken fried rice. Easy and pretty much free, I do use real oil for this as spray oil doesn't cut it but it's between 6 so not too bad.
Soy sauce and garlic for flavour and a few eggs mixed through it and a few handfuls of frozen mixed veg.

Treat....will be a small red wine later with TV I want to watch that new program about the canoe faking death thing anyone seen it?

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/04/2022 17:29

Blimeyherewegoagain · 18/04/2022 21:14

1lb off. Am happy with that.
Today was a disaster because we went out for food and the menu was really difficult. I’m estimating 30 syns for today but it could be more.

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/04/2022 22:04

4 parts- I have a thread on tv addicts

@Wilma55 Shush lol

OP posts:
Plantsandpuddlesuits · 19/04/2022 09:51

I'll have a browse at the thread thanks blondes.

I've decided to switch to online membership as group wasn't working for me.

Going to break down this journey into mini goals rather than thinking I've got 2-4 stone to lose as that seems overwhelming.

So first goal is may half term. Going to try to be on plan for the next 6 weeks until then (I need to count how many weeks) and I would love to be under 13 stone by then

CrispSandwichesRule · 19/04/2022 12:13

Ok, after a ridiculous month I have decided to sign back up after swearing I would never again. I have a stone to lose, and if I don't focus I will spiral out of control and it will get worse.

So here I am. Today.

B: Yogurt and Berries Honey (1)
L: Poached egg on Rye (HB)
D: Chicken Curry (4 for paste and pops)

That's the plan, then I have room for a gin with the TV tonight, and maybe a little treat!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/04/2022 12:46

Well done @Blimeyherewegoagain

Ok. After awful weekend here goes:
Breakfast- sort of Bircher muesli thing- blueberries and grated apple left with oats and yoghurt overnight.
Lunch- jacket spud and salad
Tea: tbc but likely Gardeners pie from veggie deluxe book (never made it but someone in group mentioned it )

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/04/2022 14:17

Sounds ok @MrsBDarcey

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 19/04/2022 14:46

Thanks @Blondeshavemorefun it just wasn't fitting in with the demands of family life, DH has to rush home early on group.nights etc then my toddler was going to bed too late on group night as they won't settle without me etc

Today's not been the best day food wise as have workmen.and all of my children here why oh why did I book workmen for an inset day?!

Anyway...

B (at 1130 😱) 2 Weetabix and blueberries. Banana

L...very late lunch having it now. Chicken and mushroom pasta in sauce packet thing. Apple.

D...in the slow cooker. Chicken tikka masala. One of those Schwartz slow cooker powder sachets, with a tin of tomatoes and some.frozen mixed veg. It says to add some double cream at the end so estimated 6 syns for that as split between us all.

Treat...5 syns for half a raspberry naked bar. Funny story....I have no idea where it came from or just appeared in the cupboard 🤔 neither DH or I have bought it.. sometimes we get freebies on ocado but it normally says it on the receipt but nothing recently!

Plantsandpuddlesuits · 19/04/2022 14:53

@MrsBDarcey your breakfast sounds lovely!

Blimeyherewegoagain · 19/04/2022 20:44

B- eggs, bacon medallions and 1 slice bread (1/2 B)
L- some sort of salad thingy from Aldi (5)
D- salmon,potatoes , peas and sweetcorn

Snacks 2hifi bars (6), cheese and 2ryvita (A + 1/2B)

Milk for drinks (A2)

Feel very full after my cheese and biscuits this evening and probably didn’t need them. I need to start listening to my hunger rather than eating to a target.

MrsBDarcey · 19/04/2022 22:59

I made a different evening meal from my plan. Pasta with lemon and tinned artichokes. Blooming delicious!
Have planned tomorrow as I'm in the office:
Cherry and cinnamon overnight oats
Prawn and cottage cheese salad (syns for cottage cheese as can't bear the fat free )
Dinner: egg chips and peas I think

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/04/2022 23:45

This is why I now write yesterdays foods as things can change
