All welcome Smile I joined Slimming World in November and so far lost 9.5lb, a bit of a gain over Christmas but getting there - I have around 3 stone to lose and I am looking forward to fitting into clothes not worn for a long time and have a big family wedding coming up. I would like to look like the slim, glamourous Aunt in the photos (without upstaging the bride!) Grin

Well done @LeftyLou!

Our raffles are variable, I don't usually bother to buy a ticket but I think it is to pay for the free tea and coffee?
One week it was a set of cheap storage boxes, one week the new hifi bars with other things. I think it has been a cookery book? If sow doesn't stay to meeting that goes in the raffle too.

Wilma55 · 25/02/2022 13:06

Can't remember which thread it was on but it was about pizza!
🍕
Just thought I'd mention that Holland and Barrett are reportedly now sling Lo Dough if anyone wants to try their pizza bases.

2 syns each.

Wilma55 it was this thread. Thanks I've been meaning to get some of those.

LeftyLou our raffles have been good, such as a recipe with ingredients. Well done on your weight loss.

I weigh in as normal 7.30am tomorrow. I will be happy with anything in the right direction as not been 100% this week. But If am wearing size smaller jeans even though they are tight around the middle!

Lost a lb. my snail pace

Pebbledashery · 25/02/2022 19:26

I've lost 18lbs in 4 weeks, really amazed at how easy it's been to stick to.

GettinTrimmer · 25/02/2022 21:01

Blondeshavemorefun well done, I'd be pleased with 1lb

Pebbledashery impressive loss. Are you going to a group?

Noshowlomo · 25/02/2022 21:03

Lost 12lb deffo gained 10lb… lost my mojo in a week! Gaaah need to get it back coz when I stick to it I lose loads of weight!! How do you get the mojo back??

Pebbledashery · 25/02/2022 21:15

Yep going to group, but I literally just go, pay, pick up my hifi bars then get weighed and leave. I don't stay for group. I lost 8lbs in my first week. Its crazy.
The only reason I am sticking to it is because you actually get to eat so much its amazing. My portions are very healthy and I'm never ever hungry.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/02/2022 21:15

Wow. Impressive
GettinTrimmer · 26/02/2022 09:18

I have lost 2lb this week and gained my Club 10!! Better than I expected Smile

Pebbledashery I agree, you can have generous meals. I still have good portions but cut back a bit lately.

Blondeshavemorefun how is your knee?

Noshowlomo I know what you mean. Could start the day with generous breakfast, 2 Hi-Fi bars for Hexb and make things stretch as much as possible?

Does anyone have an air fryer? Talk today was about chips, I've heard they do nicely in air fryer.

LittleDoritt · 26/02/2022 09:44

Well done @GettinTrimmer! That's fantastic! I'm still a way off my Club 10.

And mega well done on your target @Wilma55!

I've been AWOL for a couple of weeks as the whole household has had Covid. Still feeling absolutely wiped out but I seem to have maintained according to my home scales, which is a blessing and a miracle as there has been some seriously beige food going on! Will find out what the SW scales say on Tuesday.

Hi to everyone else! Will try and get back into posting more now that I'm not sleeping 18 hours a day.

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/02/2022 11:16

Well done !!

Wilma55 · 26/02/2022 13:25

Well done @GettinTrimmer that's a great achievement!

I didn't stay to meeting today as was meeting a friend. Queued to weigh and put on 1/2 lb which considering had visitors last weekend and fish n chips last night, wasn't too bad.

I don't know how long our new leader will last. She is very nice but lacks something. I overheard people talking about another consultant and how fab she is. Might stick to weigh and go for a while.

GettinTrimmer · 28/02/2022 12:04

After a less than dedicated weekend I am back on plan. Had a lovely day out meeting Ds in his uni town and had a nice lunch at Las Iguanas. Hope you are all doing ok? Today is carefully planned. I am so pleased to be down to BMI of 30.6!

So I’m feeling a bit fed up tonight! Was full of positivity yesterday- clothes feeling looser, had to put another hole on my belt, yomped up a hill with much greater ease…then went to group today and I’ve gained a pound! So disappointed! Been really good all week and done loads at the gym lifting weights/HIIT etc…and then having to listen to all the “Well I can’t believe I lost a pound and a half when I went out three times this week” chat. Feel really blue tonight. Will I ever lose this weight?
How’s everyone else doing? Better I hope!!

Wilma55 · 02/03/2022 14:31

I think we all tend to focus too much on the scales rather than the NSV. From what you said, clothes, belt, hill - you are doing really well. It's hard not to compare with others at group. Don't be disheartened, keep at it and next week I bet you lose!

LeftyLou · 02/03/2022 22:45

1.5 on for me this week. I expected a gain and honestly was looking at more so happy with that. Was my birthday this weekend so I can't complain.

I agree about focusing on the number on the scales. It is just so hard to not to. Sounds like you are doing really well @EdnaMole

Has anyone tried meatzza?

Pebbledashery · 03/03/2022 08:49

Off to get weighed shortly.. I lost 3.5 last week and 3 the week before. Total so far is 18.5...hoping its another 2 or 3.

LeftyLou · 03/03/2022 11:10

Good luck @Pebbledashery Smile

Pebbledashery · 03/03/2022 12:59

Hi gang, feel a bit deflated. I'm up by half a pound! But I figured as I had 2 weeks of big losses that its regulating.. The lady who weighs us said its normal.. Back on the copious amounts of speed foods!

Blondeshavemorefun · 03/03/2022 13:06

Sorry got gains @LeftyLou and @Pebbledashery

I’m sure I will be the same tomorrow

GettinTrimmer · 03/03/2022 18:55

EdnaMole sounds like you are doing well with clothes feeling looser, I know Slimming World is all about numbers, but they also mention celebrating NSV.

Pebbledashery I've just had some berries but fancied a lemon shortbread! Now I am feeling good about that. Had a dark chocolate bounty at lunchtime 14 syns! 1 Matchmaker if I want any more chocolate. Speed free is the way to go. Sorry you gained but doesn't take away how brilliantly you are doing

LeftyLou life happens hope you had a good Birthday. I've been known to gain 4lb in a week before I think 1.5lb is retrievable.

Blondeshavemorefun good luck with weigh in tomorrow. I've not been dedicated either this week.

OP posts:
Blondeshavemorefun · 04/03/2022 08:25

Yep. Sits with other gainers

1.5lb on

Not surprised

Pebbledashery · 04/03/2022 09:38

Gainers club this week.. But next week is going to be big looser club.. I feel it.

Wilma55 · 04/03/2022 12:11

Can't see me losing/maintaining. Just discovered a small piece of fruit cake weighs at least 50g so is 8 syns! My bad habits are already creeping back in....
