All welcome Smile I joined Slimming World in November and so far lost 9.5lb, a bit of a gain over Christmas but getting there - I have around 3 stone to lose and I am looking forward to fitting into clothes not worn for a long time and have a big family wedding coming up. I would like to look like the slim, glamourous Aunt in the photos (without upstaging the bride!) Grin

Well done @GettinTrimmer.

I weighed at a different group today, it was really busy. Stayed the same at 1/2 over target so ok with that.

LeftyLou · 08/03/2022 17:27

Great results Smile I think it is getting harder. Need to pull back and focus now. Not sure what to expect.

Does anyone know of any nice low syn sausages? I do quite fancy trying the Linda McCartney ones, has anyone tried these?

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2022 18:13

I like the Aldi ones for .5 each

Well done @GettinTrimmer

LeftyLou · 09/03/2022 11:20

I will check those out. Thankyou @Blondeshavemorefun Smile

Weigh in for me this evening. Not looking forward to it at all.

GettinTrimmer · 09/03/2022 17:04

LeftyLou if you like veggie sausages, ALDI plant menu red onion are zero syns

Good luck with weigh in.

I had a long day at work, and forgot my breakfast and lunch. I'm forgetting about today. Combined with a big slab of cake on Sunday and 28 syns yesterday & 21 syns on another day not looking good this week.

But..,wearing a skirt that has never fitted me as too tight on the waist. A nsv!!

LeftyLou · 09/03/2022 19:36

Thankyou @GettinTrimmer I haven't tried many vegetarian ones to be honest. I just always thought the L Mc ones sounds nice. I will check the Aldi one too. Smile

1.5 off which is what I gained last week. Happy about that. So taking that as a maintain.

GettinTrimmer · 09/03/2022 20:31

Well done LeftyLou

I am half way another 1.5 stone to go.

GettinTrimmer · 12/03/2022 09:28

Morning Brew anybody around?

I gained 0.5lb this week. Went out yesterday evening, had lager, tapas and a pile of lovely bread so not surprising.

How is everyone?

OP posts:
Pebbledashery · 12/03/2022 12:54

I lost 2lbs this week so I'm happy. Makes up for the gain last week. 20lbs down now.

GettinTrimmer · 12/03/2022 17:43

Well done Pebbledashery great loss

OP posts:
LeftyLou · 14/03/2022 20:28

That is brilliant @Pebbledashery Smile

LeftyLou · 15/03/2022 19:25

How has everyone been this week? I have been good mainly with the weekend abit off plan especially Sunday. Yesterday I managed to walk over 14,000 steps and today over 10,000. I have been trying to get out for a walk where I can.

Really not sure what to expect tomorrow but hoping for a little something. Will have to see.

Pebbledashery · 17/03/2022 13:10

Hi team, I'm another 2 lbs down, I'm 7lbs off target weight. Literally overdosing on speed foods the next two weeks 🤣

LeftyLou · 17/03/2022 16:38

Fantastic @Pebbledashery Grin

I was 1 lbs off this week. Very pleased with that. I am also the next number down on the scales.

I have a few mini targets to aim towards.

1 lbs off my club 10
3 lbs off my 1 stone 7 award
8.5 lbs off overweight bmi

GettinTrimmer · 17/03/2022 20:10

Well done LeftyLou it's a good feeling to be in the stone below bracket. I have 2lb to go until I am there too.

Pebbledashery 2lb is a great loss well done.

I am hoping to at least have lost the 0.5lb I gained last week. Way over syns one day, forgot to do food diary another day and just about to do today's. Went out for a walk, 3 miles and was so hungry had a small handful of walnuts (very healthy but high syn), so exceeded allowance again!

Has anyone ever completed an SAS log?

OP posts:
Wilma55 · 18/03/2022 08:09

I've forgotten what that is @GettinTrimmer so I probably haven't!

LeftyLou · 18/03/2022 09:23

The SAS is slimmers against sabotage. I think it is to help those who are struggling or not getting the results they want work out why. It also has a for and against of why someone wants to loose weight. For could be: "I want to fit in this beautiful dress for my wedding" or "I want to walk up a mountain" against could be "it is too hard or "I have too many events coming up so there is no point"

I have done one when I was on the plan years ago. I can't say it helped me very much then, but I do think it can certainly be a good tool for a lot of people.

Wilma55 · 19/03/2022 12:31

Weighed in at group today but didn't stay. We had a couple of days away with friends and I've put on 1 lb so now 1.5 lb over target. This maintaining lark is so difficult! To think I was hoping to lower my 🎯!

GettinTrimmer · 19/03/2022 17:30

Sorry to hear about the gain Wilma55 - gain a bit lose a bit you've still done brilliantly overall.

I weighed in today, lost the 0.5lb I gained last week so maintain ed really.

I picked up 7 SAS sheets and I am finding today's quite helpful. Filling in absolutely everything with tick boxes to make sure I've accounted for everything. Hoping to be successful next week and get down to the next stone bracket.

I really fancy chocolate right now feeling a bit fed up but I'll wait until this evening and have a Freddo and 2 matchmakers!

I got my club 10 yesterday with a 1 lbs loss. Next mini target is to get my stone and half. I still have a long way to go and my weight seems to finally be making a move again. I have lost about 5.5 lbs in 3 months!

I think maintaining must be a lot harder than even loosing which is hard enough. Dont be hard on yourself Wilma you should be proud of your achievements.

0.5 lbs is great GettingTrimmer

Hope everyone is okay and good luck for weigh ins.

Pebbledashery · 24/03/2022 10:29

Half a pound gain, it's OK though I expected it.

GettinTrimmer · 25/03/2022 09:58

LeftyLou congratulations on your Club 10 Smile I think 5.5 in 3 months is good, I know you'd like more, but you are sticking with it, which is great!

Pebbledashery sorry about 0.5 gain, will be gone next week.

I am hoping for success tomorrow as I've been doing the SAS log all week. I started off well, stopped myself from having a pile of biscuits a couple of times and have eaten a lot of speed free. Apart from yesterday when I had x6 Nairn cheese oatcakes, but still had 15 syns. Hope you're all doing OK.
