All welcome Smile I joined Slimming World in November and so far lost 9.5lb, a bit of a gain over Christmas but getting there - I have around 3 stone to lose and I am looking forward to fitting into clothes not worn for a long time and have a big family wedding coming up. I would like to look like the slim, glamourous Aunt in the photos (without upstaging the bride!) Grin

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants I found the eating out bit in the sw book and looks like black bean sauce is good!

I'd forgotten about the podcasts, most recent are about slow cookers, soup and making meals from store cupboard staples and tins. Might listen to one in the 🛀 .

Have a good weekend everyone.

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/10/2022 15:33

Thur is pizza express. Last time I was good and had the pizza with hole/salad in middle - it was bland. Practically no cheese and not what I call a pizza 😂

tue is beefeater. Prob do chicken jacket salad

Carpediem15 · 22/10/2022 17:43

1 and a half off today but it was over 2 weeks. Sorted out my 12 week block with free soup cook book from next week, consultant was very good about my absence and gave me a free week today - must be because I told her I was buying the 12 weeks. 😃She really is very nice though.
Had the 3 fruity Ryvitas with a large sliced banana plus some Aldi thick Greek yogurt and def going to become a favourite if I can find some more nearby.

Wilma55 · 23/10/2022 12:02

Well done @Carpediem15 . I think the pasta bolgnese is a reasonable choice @Blondeshavemorefun at pizzaexpress it's 674 calories according to a scribbled note I have!

My Chinese didn't go well as we opted for the set meal for 4 (there were 4 of us!) I did resist the sesame toast and spring roll but that's about all I can say. Also had cider.
However it's just one meal and off I start again today.

Dahliasrule · 27/10/2022 00:44

Really happy about a 1lb off yesterday but thinking I’ve got a week and having a ‘hungry’ day, I have blown my syns and have now sunk without trace by having a hot chocolate. (Not a low calorie one). I need to get back to it tomorrow to keep my motivation.

LightandAiry · 27/10/2022 20:42

DahliasRule well done on your 1lb, great result.

How is everyone else?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 27/10/2022 22:02

Half a pound gain after a few days away to celebrate DH's big 0 birthday. Need to be careful, as party this weekend. It's tricky, the 'hungry' days. I don't think the weather helps tbh! More walks for Sponge!

slimiscoming · 28/10/2022 06:40

Hi girls, after rubbish few weeks of not really losing much despite trying hard I a actually lost 5lb in the last two weeks. I'm delighted 😀 the key for me was eating a ton of green veg and cutting back on potatoes. So glad I persevered as I was close to packing it in.

LightandAiry · 29/10/2022 13:10

Morning all weighed in today and I am very pleased to say I lost 1lb. We have visitors this evening and I am cooking a lemon meringue pie for dessert - non Slimming World and Spanish Tapas stuff for main. On to it properly tomorrow.

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants I gained 0.5lb last time I weighed in 2 weeks ago. Enjoy your party, will it involve buffet? I love a good buffet but not great when there's no carrot sticks! I walked to Slimming World this morning, leaving the car behind as much as possible. You've got nice places to walk where you are though.

@slimiscoming that's great well done! Did you also exercise or is that all diet?

Blondeshavemorefun · 29/10/2022 14:27

Well done @LightandAiry

i weighted yesterday. Forgot to post as half term

sts - happy with that - could have been worse and gained

had a lovely full fat pizza at pizza express Thursday. Was yummy

ShakeItOff40 · 30/10/2022 08:00

Well. Things didn’t go to plan. Period after period appearing at random times. I have wallowed and wept, and eaten everything I can stuff in my mouth and generally felt overwhelmed with life. I think it may be the menopause 🤦🏼

So I’ve come off my pill, and am trying baby steps to be mindful. I am exactly where I was in September.

Am I allowed to join back in?

LightandAiry · 30/10/2022 11:32

Yes of course @ShakeItOff40 take care of yourself. It's understandable so hard when hormones go haywire. Plan some treats for the evening? I have a drop of Prosecco, small piece of lemon meringue pie and 2 matchmakers planned for this evening.

Blondeshavemorefun · 30/10/2022 14:12

Anyone is always welcome back or new to join @ShakeItOff40

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 30/10/2022 14:37

Thanks @LightandAiry Yes, substantial buffet involved. And an absolutely ginormous and very tasty birthday cake. Everyone was sent home with doggy bags. Fortunately DH works somewhere the cake can be taken and will be enjoyed, without it all flinging itself on my hips. Quite stressful to have all this food around tbh. A pic of the cake to follow. DH sent it to his SW consultant, with a comment about the syn value...
Welcome @ShakeItOff40 all Prodigal Slimmers welcome here! Meno is shiz. Ask me how I know! Grin
Hope everyone is managing ok?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 30/10/2022 14:39

Cake a foot across at the bottom, and two feet plus tall. Gah!

LightandAiry · 30/10/2022 20:09

Wow! What sort of cake?

Dahliasrule · 31/10/2022 01:18

Well done, Slimiscoming, good result.
Spongebob, not a bad result after being away for celebration. Lovely looking cake and good idea to send DH into work with it. I wouldn’t be able to resist it.
Blondeshavemorefun, we’ll done on sts, and glad you enjoyed the pizza.
Hello, Shakeitoff, good luck.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 31/10/2022 10:14

@LightandAiry one layer Victoria, one lemon. Thanks @Dahliasrule.

LeftyLou · 31/10/2022 17:37

That cake looks and sounds delicious!

A quick question if I am unable to make my own group I usually go to can I turn up at another group without contacting the group leader?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 31/10/2022 17:48

@LeftyLou I don't see why you can't just turn up, though I haven't tried it. Also, the cake was delicious, and some of it is still left sitting there, taunting me!

People often just turn up at ours as we live in a holiday destination and don't get in touch first.

Wilma55 · 01/11/2022 07:51

I flit between a Tuesday group and a Sunday group. The only "problem" is you can't book holidays except at home group.

Cake! 🎂

LeftyLou · 01/11/2022 14:08

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants @Carpediem15 @Wilma55thankyou 😊that is good to know

LightandAiry · 01/11/2022 17:29

I am tightly planning for tomorrow. Overnight oats, tuna salad then Slimming World roast dinner as my ds is coming home from uni for a few days. Hopefully no sweets or cake at work. I will take x2 fruit ryvita & apple for in-between.

Has anyone listened to the latest podcast today with Mr Sleek? Anything to keep going, enjoyable listen and great resolve.

Vanderpump · 01/11/2022 18:34

Hello all, I've had covid so things have been a bit all over the place, how is everyone doing?
