Dry January to Decadent December: Slimming World Support Thread 2022

GettinTrimmer · 03/01/2022 09:40

All welcome Smile I joined Slimming World in November and so far lost 9.5lb, a bit of a gain over Christmas but getting there - I have around 3 stone to lose and I am looking forward to fitting into clothes not worn for a long time and have a big family wedding coming up. I would like to look like the slim, glamourous Aunt in the photos (without upstaging the bride!) Grin

Thank you. So your dh is doing sw as well @SpongeBobJudgeyPants

i don’t go to group but sounds like those who have a gain usually get made to feel bad

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/09/2022 11:24

Yes DH does SW, but we go to a different class, because shifts and we're not joined at the hip, lol TBF, I don't feel our consultant makes peeps feel bad, or I haven't had personal experience of it, but as we are weighed by randomers, it may depend if you have lovely randomers doing it, as we have, or not so lovely ones. Grin Just been to a yoga class. Am cream crackered, and amazed at how stiff I've got in the time I haven't been doing it, but probs 18 months tbf. SW consultant has put awards up again on FB, and missed mine off, again. I let it go a few times, but this time I have added a comment about my body magic award, with a possibly passive agressive smiley emoticon. She's great, but she has her faves. I'm not one of her faves, apparently!

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/09/2022 11:56

Just had email from sw telling me my syns have gone Down

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/09/2022 12:11

It's a sad day Blondes. Been there, got the t shirt. It rages me how many more syns DH is allowed, even at target, and even though he is actually shorter than me!

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/09/2022 13:11

Just means I was a porker to begin with having 20

now down to 15

ans I will be eating them all !!

LightandAiry · 09/09/2022 15:17

Hi all, thank you for words of encouragement 😊 Blondeshavemorefun well done on your 1lb.

Only blip today was a sugary but skinny milk white hot chocolate from the coffee van bloke who visits work, and a Worthers Original.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants how did you get on with ginger oat cake shopping? There are also cheese oat cakes on offer but they are just dangerous, far too moreish! I would not stop at 2.

I did book holiday for tomorrow but I will drag myself off for a weigh in; our train leaves at 9am for uni visit and I weigh at stupid o clock in the morning so there's time. All crossed I get a maintain again as I've sabotaged any loss this week. Next week.....

LightandAiry · 09/09/2022 15:20

GhostToast hope you got on OK today.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/09/2022 16:26

@LightandAiry I didn't get as far as Sainsbos in the end. Really daren't buy the cheese ones...

LightandAiry · 09/09/2022 16:36

No they are lethal! Once you start you can't stop. Having said that I've had too many ginger ones.... bit sad about the Queen. She was my DM's role model.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/09/2022 16:57

Me too. But she had a long life. I've been 'with' her in a professional capacity years ago on a visit to the lakes. There's some tv footage of it somewhere. Loads of rainbows here too.

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/09/2022 19:08

Had a nice curry for 3syns

. Slim well tikka masala 2 plus as I’m. Wimp I add Aldi coconut yog I in it

essentials rice which is free

stuffed

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/09/2022 20:23

I've been doing body magic at yoga today. Que a rant on another thread about annoying man coming in half way through and spoiling all the lovely calm. Have logged it as Body Magic nonetheless. Amazed at how stiff I've got, not doing it for 18 months a while Grin

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/09/2022 20:24

Oops. Already told you all about the yoga. Just not Annoying Man! Can you tell how he's got my goat? Grin

LightandAiry · 09/09/2022 21:33

It's inappropriate having an annoying man coming in during yoga SpongeBobJudgeyPants was this to join in the class? He would have missed the warm up. I like the bit at the end where we relax lying down - some people bring in blankets!

LightandAiry · 09/09/2022 21:37

Well done on curry Blondes, the yogurt would calm it down.

I have decided to take the pressure off myself and start with a clean slate on Sunday. get in mindset. Then weigh in next Saturday before we leave to go on holiday.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2022 07:11

So not weighing today @LightandAiry

i would want to know personally if gained or not and then draw a line under it and start again

you may surprise self and sts or lose

LightandAiry · 10/09/2022 07:46

I agree Blondes but I've booked holiday anyway due to uni visit. We have to get train in an hour and it would have been a squeeze. I have to get into mindset.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2022 08:19

Or weigh at home

tho understand the mindset

enjoy today

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 10/09/2022 08:41

Have a good day @LightandAiry . I know what you mean about the mindset. Weighing at home would throw me right off. Scales are a bit hit and miss due to floor, and I would have to wear exactly the same clothes as I do for SW. Tis a anally retentive ritual. DH has weighed in today and lost 7llbs! The b*gger! He did have a holiday gain last week though. We're away next week for a few nights, but self catering, which makes SW a lot easier to follow.
How's everyone? @Blondeshavemorefun et al.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 10/09/2022 08:44

Annoying Man @LightandAiry came in half way through, announcing he thought the class was on the half hour, but was joining anyway. Then banged his stuff very loudly. I may have tutted, like the menopausal old bag that I am. He quietened down for a while, until relaxation at the end, when he engaged in competitive and extremely loud exhaling as if he had completed an Iron Man challenge, rather that entering a tame yoga session half way through. Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2022 08:47

7lbs 🙀🙀🙀🙀

impressive

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 10/09/2022 10:06

I know! Last time I shed that amount in a week, I had a baby! Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2022 13:20

😂😂😂

just had a yummy 2 syn lunch if sushi from Aldi. Really nice

dh and dd had Mac Donald’s. I was good !!!

Carpediem15 · 10/09/2022 16:44

1lb off today - wanted 1.5 to get my club 10 but blame it on my friend and her husband buying me a large glass of wine each when I usually have lime soda 😋 they didn't actually pour it down my throat but hey ho it was tasty.

Blondeshavemorefun · 10/09/2022 19:00

Still a loss though @Carpediem15 well done
