All welcome Smile I joined Slimming World in November and so far lost 9.5lb, a bit of a gain over Christmas but getting there - I have around 3 stone to lose and I am looking forward to fitting into clothes not worn for a long time and have a big family wedding coming up. I would like to look like the slim, glamourous Aunt in the photos (without upstaging the bride!) Grin

Via ww maybe 17yrs ago I got down to just under 11s and size 12

i would Prob be happy with size 14 and maybe 12s

i couldn’t stay at 11s and was hard work to maintain

yes cream tea was lovely - mini cakes - sarnies and scone

not sure what to eat today

last night had Aldi mint kebabs 1s each and a jacket - was lovely

GhostToast · 07/09/2022 11:33

Agree that it’s so difficult to stay at target once you get there. Determined to this time though. I think like everyone else has said it’s going to have to be something I’m always conscious of as I just slip into old habits far too easily!

Having a good week so far. Feeling quite bloated though so not sure there will be a big loss Friday but I’ll keep going regardless.

Christmas cruise sounds really lovely. How is everyone else getting on?

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2022 14:16

Sometimes I really cba to cook

i brought this as know I love it - minus the mushrooms

think Iceland meals are now £4 Plus

it sounds easy enough to make but know I wont

hence why I buy 😱😱😂😂

but begrudge paying that

shsme sliding hasn’t recreated it fir £2 and a few syns

it is very nice - one of my fav meals of sw

*shsme sliding means shame Aldi

Wilma55 just goes to show weight management is forever ongoing. On-off, but I don't want to end up back at square one again. Christmas Cruise sounds lovely. Are you hoping to see the Northern Lights if it's that way?

No it's a Canaries cruise with New Year overnight in Madeira for the fireworks. How will I fit in my slinky gear?!

Another fat ww gold member here!

OH out for the day so had good intentions.... bought some quavers and scoffed three bags!

On the plus side I've made a big slow cooker full of PON sweet potato chilli which I think is syn free.

Has anyone listened to the latest podcast? The guest Harriet is one of our local consultants.

Have you tried the Aldi SW type meals ? I don't often buy ready meals but for £2 these are great - except the sausage one which I enjoyed then found out it was 5 Syns 😥

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2022 14:58

Yes the chicken chow mien and tikka masala are ok and think 2

didnt like the sausage casserole or the bbq one or the saag a loo

our Aldi does the same 3 meals all the time

msy have to try another Aldi to see if diff meals in it

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 07/09/2022 17:21

Yes, I don't buy the Iceland meals, as they're a silly price IMHO. PON chilli sounds good. Haven't listened to the podcast lately, but should give it a whirl, as I know it helps me get back in the zone!

LightandAiry · 07/09/2022 19:38

Hi all, I've had a bad day, I find Wednesdays very hard, I work a long day. Two Birthdays at work and I was surrounded by cakes, cookies and sweets. Picking myself up and starting again tomorrow.

I have bought Iceland meals before when on special offer, they're OK, but we don't normally shop there. I would like to batch cook, but don't seem to get round to it.

To top the lot DH is now eating an ice cream in front of me....

DrMadelineMaxwell · 07/09/2022 20:05

If I was cal.counting today would be good, but I think I've used all my syns on bread! I rarely eat the stuff but today I had a seeded protein bagel with philly light for lunch and then leftover pork on a sandwich for dinner. I did then go to west end workout so that would have made up for a little of the excess.

Tomorrow I weigh in then have my one meal off plan...and it will be tiny food on little plates as my friend and I are off for tapas.

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/09/2022 20:48

You need to plan ahead on Wednesday @LightandAiry sk lots of low sun snacks so not hungry

@DrMadelineMaxwell good luck and sure 1/21 meals won’t rock the boat

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 08/09/2022 07:38

@LightandAiry sorry you've had a bad day. It's difficult when people are trying to force feed you cake, or at least having lots of it around. As @Blondeshavemorefun suggested, plan the heck out of Wednesday. When I do cook from scratch, I double up so there is one in the freezer, sometimes more, and mushy pea SW curry, whilst not 'high cuisine' is quick and full of speed food. I'm sure you've got this.
@DrMadelineMaxwell we both weigh in today. I'm unsure of what the Talking Scales will say. I hope you go on allright!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 08/09/2022 07:45

@LightandAiry, scoffing an ice cream like that is surely grounds for LTB? Grin In a tactical suggestion, we are a fan of mini twisters, which come in at 2 syns.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2022 09:45

Pea curry just sound rank !!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 08/09/2022 14:17

Weirdly, it's quite tasty. Lost 1.5 today. That'll do.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 08/09/2022 14:32

Finished sorting my marble jar today.

Finished sorting my marble jar today.

Looking good - I found some quite large beads in my "chuck it in the button box for now" box and going to use them when I can find a decent small glass jar.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2022 16:09

Well done @SpongeBobJudgeyPants

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 08/09/2022 17:42

Thanks. I'm hoping the visuals of 'spending' syns will work!

DrMadelineMaxwell · 08/09/2022 20:39

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants Snap! I also lost 1.5lb. Got my first half stone certificate and shiny sticker.

Then did indeed go out and have tapas. Gorgeous, but not that much food so I'm going to not feel guilty and get back on track - as much as I can around a night and day away Fri and Sat.

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/09/2022 22:24

Well done @DrMadelineMaxwell

LightandAiry · 09/09/2022 07:25

Do you have a week's worth of marbles in your jar SpongeBobJudgeyPants? Well done on loss

Well done DrMadelineMaxwell you're off for a uni visit? We're going to Bristol tomorrow - good luck for wi today Blondeshavemorefun

I have very much struggled these past couple of days. Today I have had breakfast before leaving for work, food for during the day all packed and sweet potato stew planned for this evening.

Probably emotional eating yesterday (I find this very difficult to control) as I'm worried about my DM, and for yet another week I hope for a maintain. At least there's today. Someone kick me up the bum; my underwear fits better and my stomach has reduced in size....I want to keep going.

How is everyone?

Blondeshavemorefun · 09/09/2022 08:16

Lost a lb 😃😃

my usual snail

sorry struggling @LightandAiry

can you make an ommlette or take cereal and some milk with you and chopped fruit

I’m better having breakie once taken dd to school so more like 9am rather then 730/8

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/09/2022 08:21

Well done @DrMadelineMaxwell glad the tapas was good. Sorry to hear things are difficult @LightandAiry I'm going to try to fit in a podcast or two soon. Yes, I do have a week's worth of marbles in my jar! Your stew sounds nice and healthy, so the planning is on track. When anybody has a gain in our SW, we just clap them for their current overall weight loss. One woman has lost 6 stone, but put 2 back on, so we clap for a 4 stone weight loss, which is epic. DH was talking about that this week, having gained when away, but fortunately people are noticing he is thinner and commenting, so he's happier about it now. You are doing good, and looking good Light, as Dory says (?) just keep swimming! We've all got this!
Good luck @Blondeshavemorefun

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/09/2022 08:22

Well done @Blondeshavemorefun DH interrupted me when I'd started typing, so took me longer than normal.
