All welcome Smile I joined Slimming World in November and so far lost 9.5lb, a bit of a gain over Christmas but getting there - I have around 3 stone to lose and I am looking forward to fitting into clothes not worn for a long time and have a big family wedding coming up. I would like to look like the slim, glamourous Aunt in the photos (without upstaging the bride!) Grin

Well done Blondes, I did think you'd be alright :)

It's the last day of my week off - will probably go to the pictures with DH later on, but not the most exciting way to spend a week - doing some decluttering. But we have a holiday booked end of September, and that is 5 weeks away, hoping to lose half a stone. I can be easily tempted away from plan though!

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/08/2022 16:44

Thanks @LightandAiry we can all be tempted

i made the sw frittata. Was yummy and can’t believe free

are a huge one so can have some for breakie Tom

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/08/2022 21:13

So easy to make. All free and love one pan cooking

That looks lovely Blondes, I'll look up the recipe on the app. Good for a packed lunch, my downfall is lunches at work, and it's always someone's Birthday, cakes galore.

I am delighted to say I have lost 1lb and I down down to the next stone bracket!! Taking into account a wedding, meals out etc that is a good result for me.

Just off to have some breakfast, but this evening I am meeting work friends out for cocktails. It could be a good idea to stick to gin and slimline tonic. With the prices in these places smuggling in some gin is a good option.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/08/2022 10:16

Yah for lb loss @LightandAiry well done

LightandAiry · 20/08/2022 10:48

Thanks Blondes I am rather chuffed.

LightandAiry · 20/08/2022 10:50

I am off out for cocktails this evening though, but I will probably stick to gin & slim. I've stalled for so long.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/08/2022 10:55

Well done @LightandAiry that's a good result. Fritata looking good @Blondeshavemorefun . I've had my frozen fruit/pancake breakfast. Trying to be good, as I'm away in Ireland next week, half board, so... I did consider going to a class there, depending on how far etc, but it looks like I'll have to weigh in after breakfast, which is something I never do Grin I don't want to get put off by an artificial rise iuswim, but a woman at our class always attends on hols, but maybe they are self catering.

LightandAiry · 20/08/2022 11:05

Blondeshavemorefun remember when did the slinkies thread? I weigh the same on the SW scales as I did on my scales when we joined the thread. Goes to show how maintenance can go out of the window.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants I'm the same wouldn't fancy going after breakfast. I like the sound of half board. DH & I are going to Spain in 5 week's time, with all that tapas and sangria I am bound to have a gain so it's all systems go until then.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/08/2022 13:08

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants was yummy so made another fir lunch

its free and filling and uses up the left over veg

basically it’s an omelette with potato 😂

oh yes @LightandAiry that was years ago as dh 1 was alive then

I don’t think I am born to be slim

.or I lose the weight and eat nice stuff again and gain

and all the ivf drugs didn’t help. I def gained weight then before got preg

LightandAiry · 20/08/2022 15:37

Omelette with potato is fine by me...yum

It was a long time ago, dd was in reception, age 4, she is 17 now Shock

Just goes to show what happens if there's no maintaining, but everything else affects what we do or don't do with food, and breaking the comfort eating habit is very hard. It's been stressful lately for me hence I maintanined for 4 months, but without the SW group to focus I would have gained back all the weight, so that's a bonus.

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/08/2022 15:47

Sounds about right. Dh has been dead now 11yrs

LightandAiry · 20/08/2022 19:36

💕💐 it was a difficult time xx

LightandAiry · 24/08/2022 17:12

Hi everyone I've had a falling off the SW wagon. Poor sleep last night - after a long day at work I ate biscuits and chocolate when I got home. I've just had cheese and beans on toast. This week I've had alcohol, pizza & Greek Street food in London. We did walk miles and miles though.

How is everyone else doing?

Noshowlomo · 24/08/2022 17:50

@LightandAiry absolutely shite! Deffo back on it tomorrow, I have no excuse and my annual leave is over. I have a fridge and freezer full of healthy things. No excuse.
Although my period is due any day now … 😩

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/08/2022 18:14

Oh @LightandAiry and @Noshowlomo

starta fresh tomorrow

I’ve been strict /good this week so hoping for 1lb loss Friday

LightandAiry · 24/08/2022 18:43

Well done Blondes for your focus. I find the tiredness got to me today....more distraction to come this week as we're going to a festival on Friday not allowed to take our own food. Will try my best

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/08/2022 18:55

Made a lovely prawn chow mien for 3 syns Delish !

LightandAiry · 24/08/2022 20:03

From Fakeaway book?

Blondeshavemorefun · 24/08/2022 20:20

No. HomEmade

usuaklg i buy stir fry veggie mix and do soya sauce for free

but used old veg so chopped up peppers onion and carrots into strips. Cooked noodles and added prawns then 1/2 a packet of Aldi chow mein sauce - was 5.5 so 3

was really nice filling cheap quick easy

DrMadelineMaxwell · 24/08/2022 21:24

Weighing in tomorrow. I lost 6lb first week.

Then had a few days on plan, then 5 days WAY off plan on holiday with friends. I was heavier on coming back from the holiday than before my first meeting.

I've been back on plan mostly for 3 days and a lot of the holiday weight has come off. I reckon I may have gained a lb or 2 from the last meeting I went to, which is well deserved if only from all the alcohol I drank which I will take.

Then back on it.

DrMadelineMaxwell · 25/08/2022 12:40

Half on. I'll take that.

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/08/2022 12:54

That’s not too bad @DrMadelineMaxwell

LightandAiry · 26/08/2022 07:50

I'll be happy with a half on, not bad DrMadelineMaxwell it's really hard to keep it going when out of routine.

We're off to a festival today, the 'rules' say we're not allowed to take our own food and bags are searched when we go in. I'll try and hide a nice healthy salad at the bottom of my bag!

I weigh in tomorrow and hoping for a maintain, this week went off plan.....

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/08/2022 11:56

2lbs here. Whoop. Not sure how but happy

a stone lost
