All welcome Smile I joined Slimming World in November and so far lost 9.5lb, a bit of a gain over Christmas but getting there - I have around 3 stone to lose and I am looking forward to fitting into clothes not worn for a long time and have a big family wedding coming up. I would like to look like the slim, glamourous Aunt in the photos (without upstaging the bride!) Grin

Well done @DrMadelineMaxwell

LightandAiry · 11/08/2022 17:49

Blondes!! Great to see you. This is Trimmer changed name. Let's stick together. I have maintained for ages, but I have a wedding this weekend, next week off work so that will be challenging...I think August in general is challenging with holidays, picnics, festivals etc...

Blondeshavemorefun · 11/08/2022 18:45

You’ve been trimmer for as long as I’ve know. You 😱

Blondeshavemorefun · 12/08/2022 11:02

1.5 off 🙂

LightandAiry · 12/08/2022 13:08

Fab Blondeshavemorefun very well done.

Noshowlomo · 12/08/2022 14:24

CANNOT get past the two stone mark!! Blame the weather and a change of jobs meaning I’m in the work canteen every day (paninis and brownies … 😩😩😩)
wfh fully after my training so I’ll get back on it the … yes I will yes I will!! 🙈🙈

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 13/08/2022 10:07

Brownies, yum. There might be some recipes for those on the SW app. Listened to a SW podcast at bedtime last night, and fell asleep to it. Found myself slightly irritated by the tryhard nature of it. I should get over it, as there's an odd pearl of wisdom in there sometimes.

Carpediem15 · 13/08/2022 13:39

Two and a half off this morning making 1st and half pound. 😍Can't decide where to put my maintain weight, don't want to go too low that I can't stay there although my ideal weight is 8.5 - 9stone - no way could I go that low again. I did a few years ago but it was stressful staying there, my life was think about nothing but what I coundn't eat. I am 5ft 4.

LightandAiry · 15/08/2022 06:58

Morning all, I have a week off work. I did book 2 week's holiday but will go on Saturday. We have been away at a wedding and any gain from the alcohol mainly I hope to have minimised 🤞🤞we may stay in London overnight, that will be challenging.

Noshowlomo well done for getting to 2 stone. Brownies....had a very generous one with sorbet for pudding!

Carpediem well done! Maintenance has always been my downfall, I guess it's trail and error with maintenance. I found a You Tube video with Nikki Ryan where she describes maintenance, never knew how they did it before...

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 15/08/2022 11:04

@LightandAiry a night in London sounds fun, you just need a plan! Realistically one night you can't do too much damage with food. Can you drink spirits with low cal mixers for the booze part?

The maintenance thing is interesting. Will have a look at You tube. Thanks for that.

How is @everyone else?

LightandAiry · 16/08/2022 07:51

*SpongeBobJudgeyPants" can't go to London this week due to train strike, we're going next week instead. Looking forward to it. I have my focus back this week.

Wilma55 · 16/08/2022 17:38

Hi all, long time no see! Not been to WI for nine weeks with the expected consequences, now 8lb over 🎯. Glad to see some of the usual suspects still here. Back on it today.

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/08/2022 19:10

Tomorow is outing so picnic. That’s where I fail

Blondeshavemorefun · 16/08/2022 19:24

Sorry about weekend @LightandAiry waves to @Wilma55

pesto 3 pasta chicken toms

apple

bar b - shared with 20g cereal for breakie

cucumber pepper grapes to snack on

crisps 3.5

yog .5

so lunch for 7

hopefully that will keep mE going

I find sarnies don’t fill me up where pasta does

LightandAiry · 17/08/2022 07:40

Blondeshavemorefun enjoy your picnic, we used to take a picnic out all the time when my dc were little it saves a fortune. Dh and I have the week off, and it would be good to take a picnic to a nearby beauty spot. I love them, but sandwiches, crisps etc make it very synny.

Wilma55 8lb is so easily done, first week of really focusing it will quickly reduce for you.

I've had speed free cheese omelette and roasted tomatoes and mushrooms for breakfast. I feel stuffed and off out for a walk in a bit. Trying my best this week, and I would love to see the scales go down into the next stone bracket, even if it's 1/2lb!

Does anybody do exercise DVDs? I have plans to do Davina 15 minutes arm fit after my power walk - that's the plan anyway.

LightandAiry · 17/08/2022 07:42

Wilma55 once you've reached target, how often do you weigh in? I need to set a target that is sustainable, perhaps a little higher than I'd like; I think if you're 3lb over have to pay?

Wilma55 · 17/08/2022 12:45

Hi @LightandAiry you don't have ro weigh in at all, after 8 weeks you lose the app. I started going every few weeks, once I was out of target range but got back in it the following week so didn't have to pay either week. This time I found excuses not to go and lost the app. Went to group on Tuesday but although 8 over 🎯 didn't have to pay but will next week as no way will I be in range! So yes you do pay if more than 3lb over but you get a grace week to pull it back. So if you weighed weekly you would probably be able to get back into range within the week. Having weighed in yesterday my app has started working again today. Have resisted snacks so far....

Thanks for the recommendation - I watched the Nikki Ryan Maintenance youtube and it was brilliant. I have never heard of the booklet she was talking about and wish it was available to look at at group - I am going to ask about it on Saturday. It really made lots of sense.
None of the other youtubers I watch have mentioned anything like this and I know Nikki gets stick on some other forums but she does know her SW stuff.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/08/2022 19:22

I do love an omelette for breakie and fills me up but as we are out 750am for intensive swim course this week I’m having cereal as quick but then use my b

I did well at picnic, the pasta pesto chicken tons stuffed me so only had yog and grapes so was actually a 3.5 lunch and wasn’t hungry

where as if I have a sarnie I’m hungry lster

pasta is def the way to go for picnics

so now having my crisps and 2nd b as a snack/treat

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 18/08/2022 07:45

Sweet omelette/pancake for breakfast is my go to, if I'm not rushing. With frozen berries and yoghurt. Just eggs and a bit of sweetener.

LeftyLou · 18/08/2022 13:06

Hi how is everyone doing? Not been on for a few weeks. Although I have been continuing going to group SW has taken a bit of a backseat for me. Want to aim to give it my full attention again.

It showed this week with a 2 lbs gain. With 9 weeks til a holiday it would be nice to be a stone lighter.

Welcome to all newbies too 😊

Blondeshavemorefun · 18/08/2022 13:17

Sorry for gain @LeftyLou

@SpongeBobJudgeyPants I tried that today. With bananas as that’s all the fruit I have left

Was yummy

think I need to buy some frozen fruit for end of the week

hoping for a lb tomorrow. Been. Good /on plan so fingers crossed

LightandAiry · 18/08/2022 15:05

Let us know Blondes, all crossed but if you've been on plan you'll be OK

I was having a great week until I went out for lunch yesterday and had macaroni cheese with a side of cheesy potatoes! Today so far so good. Hoping for some sort of shift in right direction on Saturday despite a lot of alcohol at the wedding and less than on plan food🤞

Blondeshavemorefun · 19/08/2022 07:48

1.5 off so heading in right direction. 😄😄

good luck anyone wi today or tomorrow
