Dry January to Decadent December: Slimming World Support Thread 2022

GettinTrimmer · 03/01/2022 09:40

All welcome Smile I joined Slimming World in November and so far lost 9.5lb, a bit of a gain over Christmas but getting there - I have around 3 stone to lose and I am looking forward to fitting into clothes not worn for a long time and have a big family wedding coming up. I would like to look like the slim, glamourous Aunt in the photos (without upstaging the bride!) Grin

2llbs. That's a good weekend not counting for me. That doesn't sound terrible. How do you feel about it?
It makes for interesting visits, but there is a time limit before I want to suffocate Dsis and DM so... Grin

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/07/2022 19:25

I've just typed a reply on it, and its gone on another thread... I don't think it was me, but you never know. MN is really glitchy for me at the moment.

2llbs doesn't sound terrible, could be off by next week. How do you feel?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 09/07/2022 19:26

Ok, so this definitely isn't me, it's MN . @GettinTrimmer please take this as a reply to other thread. I now I haven't buggered it up twice...

@LightandAiry well I had a wall before I got to the 3 stone, and seem to be past it now, although I did find myself eying up a reduced priced pasta salad in asda as a quick tea before I had a word with myself... You can do this! Keep on with the swimming. Is there anyone else who would go with you?

LightandAiry · 11/07/2022 17:47

Hi, how is everyone doing? I am having a better day if I keep away from the ice cream....

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 11/07/2022 17:56

@LightandAiry . Ask me why we don't buy ice cream? Grin

LightandAiry · 11/07/2022 18:02

Don't buy ice cream? Just one teeny scoop!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 11/07/2022 19:24

For me, there is no teeny scoop. Lol.

Noshowlomo · 13/07/2022 17:38

Lost 2st 3.5 and now just can’t stop eating. This ALWAYS happens. My brains thinks “skinny now” even though I’ve got 3 more stone to lose. How to get back on track before I eat all the Ben and Jerry’s in the uk!?!

banabak · 13/07/2022 18:49

@Noshowlomo I know that feeling! Can you get yourself stocked up with 98 cal Solaros instead? And anything else you're wanting to eat lots of and trade it for lower cal?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 13/07/2022 20:07

Two syn mini twisters are a life-savor in our house. Daren't buy ice cream.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 15/07/2022 08:10

Well, I've lost half a pound. Which is pretty good considering. I'm booked in for an urgent brain scan this morning, so hopefully when that's done, I can just wait for the results without thinking about the tunnel thing.

How is everyone?

LightandAiry · 15/07/2022 17:55

Hi everyone, all OK apart from snaffling sweets at work and just had a crumpet. But all in all I've had a much better week.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants very much thinking of you, take care and take it easy, half a pound is good.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 15/07/2022 18:10

Thanks @LightandAiry . Hopefully the results will come through soonish. Just pleased to be out of the scanner. Going away overnight on Monday, so will try and be careful.

LightandAiry · 16/07/2022 09:44

Morning, went to group, weighed in, stayed the same. At least it's not a gain.

How are you all doing?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants got myself a box of Twisters on the way back from group. Great suggestion Smile

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 16/07/2022 09:48

Thanks. That's a good result @LightandAiry . Sometimes a maintain is an excellent result, for me, and I generally get my head around the following week, and go on to have a reasonable loss. No Twister is very synny, but are they the mini ? They are two, I think the others are about 3?

How is everyone?

LightandAiry · 18/07/2022 12:29

Hi SpongeBobJudgeyPants yes they're mini Twisters, I am looking forward to having one this evening. I would very much like to lose some weight this week sticking to plan 🤞

How are you all coping in this heat?

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 19/07/2022 21:04

I've been away at the seaside, and it's been roasting! Been out for a couple of meals, not gone mad, but had a pudding and a piece of cake over the last 30 hours, so I need to wind my neck in before I weigh in on Thursday. Mini Twisters Rock!

How is everyone?

LightandAiry · 20/07/2022 17:07

SpongeBobJudgeyPants not bad, focused as the Doctor has suggested I lose another stone which has helped me put my mind to it.

Hope everyone is doing OK. The ice-cream is tempting!

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/07/2022 20:07

Will you make that your Target Weight @LightandAiry? Mmm, ice cream.

LightandAiry · 20/07/2022 20:08

I think so - not sure maybe another half stone.

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 20/07/2022 20:14

Goal within sight then!

LightandAiry · 21/07/2022 07:25

1.5 stone to go SpongeBobJudgeyPants

SpongeBobJudgeyPants · 21/07/2022 13:58

That sounds like not too far away @LightandAiry . I'm hoping to shake 1.5 before a big party in October. I've been talking to someone (not a consultant) about targets today, and although I had thought about it being 3 stone away, I might go for 2 stone and see how I feel then. Might even settle at it for a little while, and think about it. I don't want loads of loose skin, which might be a possiblity with a large loss at my age, where it just doesn't shrink back the same... Anyhoo, I maintained this week, which was a reasonable result, given a couple of meals out, one with a pudding, and a very nice piece of cake in a shopping centre. Yes, I enjoyed every mouthful.

How is everyone else doing?
