It's Monday, I've weighed in and I'm still 12 stone. Been a bit slack in the last week. I've been trying to give up my biggest vice which is wine, so I sort of decided last week that was my focus, which resulted in me overlooking a few syns...or fifty 🤫

Anyone want to start a support group on here?

I need to get back to 11 stone, I have a work uniform to get back into in October (when I go back from maternity leave). This is my motivation.

Well done ladies I lost 2lb this week not amazing but can't complain I went wild over the weekend 😳I've got a ridiculously sweet tooth atm which isn't helping

@huuunderickssss it happens to you aswell then? I'm always up weight at the time of month then it goes again the following week. I seem to lose around a pound every week, time of month I will be up a pound, then the following week I'm down around 3pounds.

@WhoUsedMyName 2pounds is really good well done Smile (especially if you had a wild weekend with the treats)

I've had my usual pasta with bacon and a tiny sprinkle of cheese for lunch, will make a chicken curry for dinner.

@Dk20 yup!! Always gain when I have my period but often lose as soon as it goes again. Just got to hang on another week 😬😬

@huuunderickssss I find that too my weight is unpredictable around my period, I'm sure it'll come back off next week

@WhoUsedMyName well done that's great Grin

How is everyone doing today? I'm not feeling very well today I just had to go for a sleep on my lunch break (the benefits of working from home!) so struggling to stay motivated today.

Just had a jacket potato and cheese with salad for lunch so hoping that helps the way I'm feeling.

@MissRabbitIsExhausted not very motivated here either Sad. Also wfh with my 6 year old and just turned 1 year old hear. Have finished my normal hours for the day 8-4, but will log back on later when the baby is in bed If my head clears up.
Our chicken curry dinner has now turned into chicken and rice as I dont have the willpower to go making the curry sauce now.

It's hard to balance everything at the moment. I'm still working from home and as dp is working full time again dd (2) has gone back to nursery. We are in a very low risk area but I still worry, although it's pretty much impossible for me to do my job and look after her at home.

Throwing a diet in to the mix is just making life even more difficult at the moment Grin

I always like the look of the curries in the slimming world books but I just do not have the patience to make a curry from scratch. I feel like you always need about 10 million ingredients most of which would probably still be in my cupboard in about 5 years so I tend to just buy a jar if I'm making curry, I know that's really lazy!

I have a major headache today. I think it's actually wine withdrawal Confused

I've had a decent day good wise:

B - quorn bacon and beans for breakfast (seriously lacking non carb inspiration as I'm veggie and don't eat eggs). 3.5 syns

L - syn free minestrone soup

D - Veggie burger (3.5) ninja foodi fries (free) cheese slice (hexA) roll (hexB) and using 3 syns on various sauces to dip the fries in. Might make a quick coleslaw with lightest mayo so maybe another syn.

There's a rolo mousse in the fridge screaming at me. It's 4 syns. Help!

@Cherrybakewellard it must be a day for feeling a bit lousy! I would totally have the yoghurt if I was you, it look like you have enough syns!

I've managed to stay on plan despite not feeling up to it today. I had:

1 weetabix (3) & milk (a)
Banana
Baked potato (free) and cheese (a), salad
Steak, syn free chips, more salad

Butchers & Tesco order delivered today so feeling a lot more prepared for tomorrow, hoping I can meal plan a bit better this week!

I tried some of the SW curry recipes and they always came out really bad and inedible but I have the JD seasonings now to make the sauces which are free and cut down the ingredients I need to buy separately. I think the last curry i made i only had to add the JD seasoning pot, chopped tomatoes and some stock.

@Cherrybakewellard hope you're feeling better soon (and enjoyed the chocolate yoghurt). I find when I have a headache I want to eat more to make myself feel better.

I'm lucky here, my baby goes to bed at 6pm, so I put a movie on for my 6yo and got another two hours of work done. Now have chips (again) in the air fryer.

The fridge is looking bare now, will be glad to have my food delivery here on Thursday.

@Dk20 I keep meaning to try some of the JD seasonings, I see them a lot on Instagram & they do look really good!
I'll have a look tonight and maybe order some to try. Anything to help me having to think of ideas of what to have 😂

Erm so I may have accidentally swapped my hexB roll for a full on proper seeded white burger bun. 12 syns.

I will not be having the rolo mousse now BlushGrin

I am feeling a little too spritely this morning so far Confused

Today I am feeling very in control, menu is

B - 2 slices Neville wholemeal (hexB) with clover and marmite 1.5

L - jacket potato with beans, cheese (hexA), homemade coleslaw (1) and salad

D - Veggie pasta and salad

Will be followed by some halo choc Ice cream with strawberries, squirty cream (1 at most) and choc shot.

The kids are staying up to watch a film and I normally make pizza which includes 225g each of white bread flour. I worked out the whole pizza is over 70 syns and we have 1 each! Sod that!

Well done @Cherrybakewellard that's a good day!

I'm not doing so well, came to visit my gran for the first time since lockdown and I've just had a white bread sandwich and a biscuit!! For some reason I can never say no to her! She still treats us like we are 12 (but then an hour later will be talking about how "strong" my legs are 😂)

Dk20 · 29/07/2020 12:21

@Cherrybakewellard dp and ds make homemade pizza here too, they are amazing but I wont even allow myself to have a small slice as I know how heavy in syns even one slice can be. (And once I've had one slice I'll want more.) Luckily the sauce he uses is SW free so I can have that on top of some sw free chips/pasta so at least I have something to eat still.

@MissRabbitIsExhausted it's so hard to stay on SW when visiting others, you either have to refuse food or bring your own

Have to work again this evening and the cupboards are really bare now so have just had Chinese for dinner Blush
The only good thing is I checked the syn values before going in so the Chinese would have been 11 syns and I'll prob just have a yoghurt later for half a syn so 11 and a half for the day.

Learning to cope with new bakery next door. My one treat is nice white bread. Although when it first opened, I accidentally got a fry-up!

I ended up having a really bad day yesterday.
I know it's not an excuse but I don't feel great this week and I gave in yesterday. Had scampi and chips for dinner (12 syns)
Then 2 chocolate digestive biscuits (8 syns)
And that's on top of my lunch. I didn't even enjoy the scampi that's the worst of it!

Back on plan today though! I'm having:

Breakfast: weetabix (b) milk (a)
Lunch: Mughshot (2), banana, miller light (1)
Dinner: Chilli (1.5), rice, cheese (a)

How is everyone else feeling today?

@Alienin I would both love and hate a bakery next door, it would be so hard not to just pop in all the time!

I'm with you! I've put on 11lb since Feb and its all on my belly Sad
My problem is treats when ds has gone to bed and big meal portions.
I've done an online shop with all healthy foods for stuff I used to eat when I was slim ( fish , salad, couscous) , I've fallen into a trap of meat and cheese based dishes.
Ds is always on the go and is incredibly slim but I obviously dont have his metabolism. I'm upping my walking and avoiding treats on days out .
We are going to a theme park today and I'll avoid icecream !
I cannot get into my jeans so I need to do something.

12 syns isn't too bad @MissRabbitIsExhausted it could have been worse for that!

I stuck religiously to plan...until we went for a walk on the beach and the world and his wife were in the bars out on the terraces drinking beer and wine and I caved for a glass of rose, which tipped me over syns. Although I did only have half of it because I felt so guilty, which is unheard of.

I've put all my planned meals into the planner today and I'm only using 2 syns. Which means I could have a glass of red with my syn free noodles tonight 😬

Welcome to the new joiners.
Staying on track today other than realising the mince I used to make burgers was 10% fat, not 5%. Hope it wont cause too much damage.
Other than that I've just had a SW bar for breakfast and some plain pasta for lunch. Really need to start having more fruit and veg.

Welcome to the new joiners today Smile

@Cherrybakewellard I suppose that's true, 12 syns is not as bad as it could have been.
A walk on the beach & a glass of wine sounds lovely! I like in the countryside which is beautiful and during lockdown I realised how lucky I was, but sometimes think it would be lovely to live near the beach!

I've stuck to plan totally today so hoping my little blip yesterday won't cost me too much, I suppose we are all going to have days when things don't quite go to plan!

Just checking in. Now exercising 5 or 6 times a week and still no scale movement really (I lose 2, I gain 3, I lose 3, I gain 2 etc.) There better be a bloody big whoosh at some point!

Am off next week so hoping to get some extra walks in and do some jobs around the house. Painted the shed this weekend and did it in one go and so much faster, as my arms didn't hurt like they used to Halo

Report
MissRabbitIsExhausted · 31/07/2020 10:18

@motherofawhirlwind It must be so frustrating that the scales aren't moving but that amount of excercise is fab.

Do you notice a difference in your body shape even if the scales aren't going down?

That's great your noticing yours arms hurting less, your body must be getting so much fitter and that's a great achievement even if your weight isn't moving for now Grin
