@runlift any idea of the syns? Looks like an ok day to me, but the devil is in the detail...

TigerJoy · 25/10/2019 07:49

B - yoghurt (0.5)
L- baked potato, ham, green veg (4 syn for butter)
D - chilly cheesy nachos made with potato wedges and 3 bean chilli. Some syns for avocado (7)

S - 2 hifi and 5 syn for a slice of black bean chocolate cake (need a bigger slice than I cut last night, as 2 slices was too much!)

Don't mind going over syns with avocado as it's a good syn

@blondes 2lbs is great! Well done!

FiveNightsAtMummys · 25/10/2019 12:41

Well done blondes!!

So far today I've had a subway sandwich with chicken and ceaser dressing, hash browns and mayo followed by a Gregg's Belgian bun and latte.
Later is cheese straws, take away bolognaise burger, fries and sharing a tub of Ben and jerrys karmel sutra.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 25/10/2019 12:44

That's awesome Blondes!
Worked last night. My nemesis, the digestives were there again. And then they weren't, iyswim. Oops 😘

Blondeshavemorefun · 25/10/2019 14:27

@FiveNightsAtMummys. That sounds heaven

@dexterslockedintheshedagain. Whoops

troppibambini · 25/10/2019 20:25

Well done blondes!
Five that sounds lushGrin

B-coffee
L-cauliflower soup, promise roll (heb) ham salad and packet of pufts (3.5)
Banana
Fibre one bar (4)
D-rogan josh (6) rice and poppadom(4)

Bit over, I'm guessing 6 for the curry as the book says 8 but my local takeaway do a low fat version.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 26/10/2019 09:51

Weighed this morning, a maintain. Feel ambivalent about it, tbh. I need to try harder. Feel pants today too, quite dizzy and my ears are ringing!

TigerJoy · 26/10/2019 10:16

@dextersintheshed I know how that feels, but at least it's not a gain. Remember as well sometimes weightloss isn't linear - something to do with partially empty fat cells filling with water until you lose more. Sorry you're feeling under the weather, i hope you feel better soon

The 3 bean chilli "nachos" with potato wedges were amazing last night! It's a sw recipe but I used bean chilli instead of meat and honestly i don't know if meat would have been an improvement. Also used 60g of gruyere instead of mix of soft cheese and cheddar

B - 3bean chilli and fried eggs
L - coronation chick pea, baked sweet potato and salad
D - chicken curry, 2 chubby cubs aloo gobi (minus potatoes) and rice

troppibambini · 26/10/2019 10:56

Morning! Shit morning this morning our house (literally!) I was woken at six by vomiting child, poor thing was panicking as there was wee coming out of his bottom Grin
Sorry hope no one is eating breakfast!

B-coffee
L-chicken, bacon and bean casserole with rice
D-chicken, salad, chips, wraps and hummus

I'm going to have a go at making sw hummus I've tried before without much success so we will see.

troppibambini · 26/10/2019 10:57

Dexter I know what you mean but at least it's not a gain.
Tiger that sounds good I like bean chilli, bil is vegan and I make it for him when he comes over sometimes. I often eat his as I prefer it now.

Twigletgirl27 · 26/10/2019 11:54

@troppibambini I made Pinch of Nom caramelised onion hummus yesterday for the first time. They recommend using butter beans instead of chick peas, and it was lovely. Ate half a pack of Cheddars with it last night....🙈

bossybloss · 26/10/2019 13:00

Twigletgirl...I love the idea of that hummus?

I had shredded wheat for breakfast , not had lunch yet, so come on here for ideas!

Tonight we are having the SW beef stew and dumplings done in the slow cooker...4.5 syns per portion .

bossybloss · 26/10/2019 13:01

Going to finish dinner off with low cal jelly and fruits of the forest ..with a bit of weetabix crumbled on top!

troppibambini · 26/10/2019 13:11

Ooh twiglet thanks will look at that i randomly have some butter beans in too!

Twigletgirl27 · 26/10/2019 14:14

@bossybloss the hummus was really tasty! I've tried the SW version a while back and didn't rate it. I thought this version was really tasty, caramelising the red onion in balsamic vinegar and sweetener gives a lovely flavour. Should have made some veggie sticks to go with it but the Cheddars were calling me!

TigerJoy · 26/10/2019 15:25

Great tip @twigletgirl, thanks! I've not had much joy with any sw recipes to be honest. They all seem a bit tasteless. E.g. why would you cook chilli con carne for only 20 mins? I cook mine for 3 hrs. Even the bean chilli i cooked for 40 mins.

I can't recommend the bbc good food coronation chickpeas 😕 they were pretty rank. I like the idea of spicing up chickpeas though and I might try with harissa paste in the future. Or just stick with beans and cheese!

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 26/10/2019 15:51

I agree re the SW recipes. The sauces always seem so watery! That hoummous sounds lush - will try that. Planning on doing some shopping tomorrow, so will do some cooking when I get back. Must lose something on next weigh in!
@troppibambini hope your little one feels better soon

magnarocks · 26/10/2019 16:22

Joined SW today, haven't been a member for over 4 years. Here's today's food:

L: bacon medallions, scrambled egg, baked beans, mushrooms, tinned tomatoes and actifry potatoes (1) for spray oil

Sn: small bowl of homemade vegetable soup

D: baked potato with chilli con carne, grated cheese (HexA) and salad

Sn later: curly wurly (6)

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/10/2019 17:35

Welcome @magnarocks

B toast b ham egg beans TOM

L sw sausage RANK - jacket beans fruit

T having kebab takeaway. Will have lamb or chicken shish and rice and salad

OP posts:
Twigletgirl27 · 26/10/2019 18:04

@Blondeshavemorefun it was incredibly easy! You fry a red onion until it browns, then add 1tbsp each of sweetener and balsamic vinegar. Cook 5 mins until soft. Empty into food processor with drained tin of butter beans, 2 cloves crushed garlic, tsp salt and juice of lemon. Then blend, blend, blend!

Blondeshavemorefun · 26/10/2019 18:10

Butter beans or chick peas ?

OP posts:
Twigletgirl27 · 26/10/2019 18:12

Well Pinch of Nom recommend butter beans but I'm sure chick peas would be fine, I know that's what is the usual ingredient in hummus
