Thanks @blondes!

Birthday today

B - yoghurt and raspberries
L -steak and chips
D - minestrone

S - some crappy snacky things, 2 slices of Colin the Caterpillar cake, 2 pieces of M&S millionaires shortbread. Family tea party with the kids, it was super fun. I ate lots of shit but I have to say before now I would have eaten more, I had no booze and no bread. I have noticed I try and balance more if I'm having crap - I don't just think sod it, today's a write off.

MumInTheCity · 17/09/2019 19:30

Happy birthday for yesterday @TigerJoy 🥳

I started my new job last week, then DD was in hospital over the weekend (she’s fine now) so my eating has been all over the place really, some good days, some bad. Today was good:

B - peach yoghurt (0.5)
L - pasta n sauce (0.5) with cheese and salad
D - lime and coriander chicken breast, rice and roasted veg
S - twister (2), 2 hifis (HEB), fibre one bar (4)

TigerJoy · 17/09/2019 20:37

Well done @MumInTheCity, that chicken sounds lovely, did you make it yourself?

Had a crap day on multiple fronts.

The upside was dinner - DH suggested takeaway pizza, but we had head of broccoli in the fridge, so I made pasta with broccoli in the same time it would take for pizza to arrive (pasta cooked with broccoli, stirred with olive oil infused with garlic and chilli). Can't guarantee I will not eat some chocolate cake this evening but had an emotional afternoon / evening (EAT YOUR FEELINGS!) and will take the dinner win. It's a lesson to always have green veg in the house.

Blondeshavemorefun · 17/09/2019 22:24

@MumInTheCity sorry to hear about dd. Hope she is. Ok. Also have poorly dd. Chest infection bless her

Happy belated birthday @TigerJoy !!!
Glad you've got your mojo back @Blondeshavemorefun
And hope your dds are feeling better it's horrible when small ones are poorly.

Weighed today another 1lb off.

I'm quite pleased as I went out for far too much wine and a delicious Indian meal at the weekend.

B-coffee
L- supernoodles
2 hifis 2 s and v rice cakes (3)

That looks awful written down but in my defence food shop is coming in the morning so not much in!

TigerJoy · 18/09/2019 16:35

Thank you! 😊

B - fruit and yoghurt
L- leftover homemade minestrone
D - poached fish and steamed green veg and corn on the cob

S - 2 hifi, 2 figs, 1 cappucino, 3 tsp of sugar in 3 espressos

Avoided unhealthy snacks, all birthday cake eaten up, can't make weigh in today but weight to be honest has basically plateaued for a month, looking at the overall trend. Determined to get 1 stone award next week and kick start things again. still have lots of meals out coming up but i really need to watch the snacking I think

TigerJoy · 19/09/2019 14:12

How's it going everyone?

B - scrambled eggs, beans
L - M&S count on us ham hock and mashed potato (2.5 syns), plus extra green veg
D - no idea

Snacks - fruit, 2 hifi, almond milk coffees (HEA)
The M&S ready meal was a find, it was really tasty, and many of their other ready meals are 10 syns or so

troppibambini · 20/09/2019 11:19

I lost another lb this week so 8.5lbs in two weeks which I'm happy with.

I have had such a busy week this week and dh has gone off on a weekend away early this morning so flying solo with the four kids till Monday night.

So far since Wednesday I've had a Thai takeaway and went out for steak and red wine last night however miracle of miracles I don't seem to have gained anything!
So I'm on it again big time as no dh to distract me and open bottles of wine and bags of crispsGrin

Hope everyone is doing ok?

B-coffee (too much wine last night)
L-ham and eggs
D-chicken madras with tikka roasted cauliflower

Blondeshavemorefun · 20/09/2019 14:57

TigerJoy · 20/09/2019 22:51

@troppibambini what was the recipe for your dinner?

I made SW chicken tikka masala but with prawns and it was HORRIBLE. TOTALLY HORRIBLE and took like 2 hours because I was knackered and couldn't do all the things at once. I should have just had the rice, it was the only edible thing!

B - cherry smoothie
L - chilli and crab pasta from Carluccio, vanilla ice cream
D - aforementioned prawn tikka masala and rice

S - 2 hifi, 1 almond milk smoothie, 2 gins and slimline (fucking awful week)

troppibambini · 21/09/2019 13:37

It's a hairy bikers one.

One onion
Pack of boneless chicken thigh fillets
2 garlic cloves
2 red chillis
Tin of tomatoes
Tin or big squirt of tom purée
Four teaspoon medium curry powder
About quarter of pint of chicken stock

Brown onion, crushed garlic, 2 chopped chillis for couple mins.
Add curry powder and mix for one min
Add tinned tomatoes and simmer for 5 mins till it reduces a bit.
Add the chicken thighs the will white rather than brown! Add the tom purée and chicken stock.
Transfer to a casserole dish with lid for a couple of hours at 150.
If it look runny after an hour take the lid off but just keep and eye on it that it doesn't dry out.

You can add veg/chick peas what ever, spinach is good. I often throw a bag a spinach in half an hour before the end. Less or no chilli if you don't like it too spicy.

It's a big favourite in this house!

TigerJoy · 21/09/2019 13:56

Thanks! I have one of their cook books but was unimpressed with the korma so gave up. Will give this a try!

B - ham and cheese omelette (put ham and cheese on top of omelette and grilled - bloody lush)
L - fried rice - ham, prawn, sweetheart cabbage, peas, sweetcorn, onion, ginger, chilli, soy sauce, corinader, egg. Froze half for work lunch this week
D - lamb chops with roast veg with harissa and coriander, baked potato

S - apple, figs, maybe some chocolate later

troppibambini · 21/09/2019 13:59

Oh a the tikka roasted cauliflower is just pieces of cauliflower roasted in tikka paste (2 syns) and frylight.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 21/09/2019 15:59

@TigerJoy happy belated birthday! I've been lurking, but never got round to posting. I'm so crap at stuff like that!
Cut my losses two weeks ago. And started SW from scratch again - I think it was psychological, hadn't lost for ages so threw caution to the wind and stuffed my face.
Anyway I've lost 1lb each week, which isn't as much as I'd hoped (not going to win the 25lb and new dress challenge by November!) but it's a loss, so I'm happy.
Had SW ready meals at work which has helped enormously. Plus the digestive provider doesn't seem to bring them much any more, thank goodness!

TigerJoy · 21/09/2019 21:28

Thank you @dexter 😊

Well done on re-committing!

I've actually done super well this week from my own weighing.

Except for this evening - I am currently demolishing a pack of milk choco leibniz

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/09/2019 07:45

Hey, no shame in a maintain Blondes!
Sometimes it's just so hard to get in the right frame of mind, isn't it? I'm lucky that my DD isn't a young child any more, and can be left alone for a few hours. This gives me time to go to the gym, walk the dogs, be as active as I want which helps. People who have young children (and/or more than one) I have a great deal of respect for. Weight loss isn't so easy then!
I don't know how anyone does it.

TigerJoy · 22/09/2019 12:12

Agreed, a maintain is a win!

I ate the whole bloody box of biscuits yesterday! And I drank gin. It was lush though. I am a pound heavier than yesterday now...

Meeting a friend for lunch and have agreed on a sushi restaurant which feels like a good choice. I will go to the pub after though...have had a weekend off being off booze if you see what I mean, but am back on the wagon tomorrow. It's much easier to lose when you're not drinking.

B - bacon eggs beans 2 slices of GF toast (HEB)
L - sushi
D - kedgeree or just a baked potato and veg

S - beer

Blondeshavemorefun · 22/09/2019 13:36

I love gin

My fav is rhubarb

troppibambini · 22/09/2019 20:50

Gah a wobbly afternoon. Went for a very healthy sw Sunday lunch at my mums but since I've been home I've nibbled and picked at rubbish. I'm now having a glass of wine and a packet of crispsBlush

No more now though. I'm getting an early night. I've had a full on weekend with all the kids and no dh. I was so glad when I got a message to say rugby training was rained off!!

TigerJoy · 22/09/2019 23:55

I had more gin, and a whole pack of Thornton's fudge pieces or something, and a crunchie. Could barely eat dinner - which was a baked potato and steamed green veg

Tomorrow is going to be tough at work so i have already prepared blackberries (foraged on a dog walk!) And yoghurt for breakfast, then ham and egg salad for lunch.

troppibambini · 23/09/2019 12:52

Ok so there was more....
A double decker
Two pieces of seeded toast and avocado.

But that's done with now. New day and all that..

B- mango and Greek yogurt
L-baked potato, beans and salad
D- roast leg of lamb and all the bits

I've also made and apple crumble and banana cake which I must stay away from.

Dh is home at tea time, I asked him what he wanted to eat for dinner and he requested a lamb roast... anyone would think he had been in the amazon jungle for a month not Marbella for the weekend Hmm

Blondeshavemorefun · 23/09/2019 18:14

My letter from the fertility clinic has come in so I have 8 weeks to lose as much weight as possible. If I lose 2.5 stone I'll be normal weight 🤣🤣🤣

Anyway more realistically maybe another stone

Recommitting today - want my 1 stone award this week

B- blackerries and yoghurt

L - ham and egg salad (2 syn)

D - homemade pasta bake (1syn)

S - 2 x hifi, grapes, greek yoghurt with an option sachet stirred in which was rank

Made lunch and snacks for tomorrow! Involved making a vat of quinoa with beetroot and aduki beans, which will form the base of my lunch this week. Tomorrow with shredded omelette and ham, and crunch salad
