I steep the milk with half an onion studded with cloves, a pinch of nutmeg and 2 bay leaves, for flavour so you don't need the fat.

MumInTheCity · 04/09/2019 15:27

3lbs off for me this week. Very happy with that. I’m making lasagne tonight as well, using a dolmio light jar for the white sauce. Works out as 3.5/4 syns per portion.

TigerJoy · 04/09/2019 16:03

@hmmbop so you just use milk and cornflour?

2lb gain :( richly deserved plus day 1 of my period. Will have to sit down and think about everything I did wrong - prime contenders being my hungry caterpillar impression on Monday, pizza yesterday, and massive meal on Saturday. Ho well.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 04/09/2019 18:00

And DH walked the dogs today, so they're happy!

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2019 22:07

@MumInTheCity. Well done

DD and I are off to the cinema this evening, I’m planning to take some hifi bars and a mini bag of Haribo, but I’ve promised DD we’ll go to Taco Bell after for dinner, I’ve never been before, does anyone know what the best option for me would be?

TigerJoy · 05/09/2019 15:53

@muminthecity I've not been to Taco Bell since I've been on SW, but it looks like the Fajita Burrito is the best, if you remove and don't eat the wrap itself (it's chicken, veg and rice). Or just eat it and syn it. If you're going to syn things though, you would probably be better off with crunchy tacos, as they tend to be made with corn rather than flour, and have lower calories. The crunch makes them feel more satisfying as well!

There's no Taco Bell stuff on the SW app, but taco shells come in at 3.5 syns each, whereas a wrap is 9 syns. So I'd get 2 taco shells and a side of rice, if you're still hungry.

MumInTheCity · 05/09/2019 16:17

Thank you @TigerJoy that’s really helpful. I’ll go with the crunchy taco.

troppibambini · 05/09/2019 18:27

Hello! I used to pop on here sometimes and then fell spectacularly off the wagon and ate most of Spain Grin
Rejoined on yesterday morning so onwards and upwards (or should that be downwards?!)

B-raspberries and ff Greek yogurt
L- chicken noodle soup

For dinner I made a bit of a feast for dh and I
Poppadom (2)
Chicken chickpea and spinach curry
Lentil dahl
Tikka roast cauliflower (1)
Pilau rice (1)
Ww wrap (heb)

Was delicious here's a pic

Daily menu - please come and write what you eat
TigerJoy · 05/09/2019 19:02

Hi @troppibambini that looks amazing! And spain sounds delicious :)

B- nectarines, blueberries, ff yog
L - aldi curried chicken slices with coconut - REALLY good and free - with salad and lime juice
D - free veg sausages, baked potato, steamed green veg (4 syn for butter)

S - 1 hifi, 1 costa coffee (HEA), 1 san pellegrino (3.5 syn), 1 coffee with sugar (1 syn)

MumInTheCity · 05/09/2019 21:49

This evening didn’t quite go to plan - ended up in Pizza Hut instead of Taco Bell 🙈 I think I made a fairly good choice though, I had the veggie flatbread which is 18 syns. Not great but could’ve been a lot worse!

B - yoghurt and fruit
L - chicken salad
D - Pizza Hut flatbread (18)
S - 2 hifis (HEB), crisps (3.5), Haribo (2.5)

So 24 syns in total. Must do better for the rest of the week!

TigerJoy · 05/09/2019 22:39

Mah, have reduced syns for a couple of days and you'll be fine. Well done on making a better choice in difficult circumstances!

I also had 2 gins (6syns) and 3 syns of lindt

Worth it though! And have walked / cycled 13km today.

Blondeshavemorefun · 05/09/2019 22:51

Ate most of SPAIN. Pmsl @troppibambini. Good to see you return

OP posts:
dexterslockedintheshedagain · 06/09/2019 07:48

To be fair tho, Spain is delicious @troppibambini Grin

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 06/09/2019 13:09

Weigh in went well last night. Got my baseline, am determined to stick to plan this time. Last time, I lost nearly 2.5st and felt so good, I don't know what went wrong that I put most of it back on again.
But I've found you lot now. This thread is so helpful.
First nightshift for a month tonight. Dreading it, but will be armed with SW friendly snacks to get me through.

Hmmmbop · 06/09/2019 14:54

It was DHs birthday yesterday so we had nandos and cake. Around 30 syns. But I'd saved some suns from Tuesday and Wednesday and I'm only having 7 suns today so I'll even out.

B- raisin wheaties with milk from hex a
L- halloumi and salmon salad
D- syn free curry with cauliflower rice and green veg
S- hifi bar, melon, apple, latte.

I'll have some chocolate and the other hifi bar later.

TigerJoy · 06/09/2019 15:10

Well done @dexterslockedintheshedagain. I find this thread really useful. Any tips from when you did SW last time?

B - aldi homebake roll (HEB), 2 scrambled eggs, 2 tsp butter (4 syns), cappucino (HEA)
L - leftover lasagna (HEA for cheese), nectarine
D - probably pasta alla puttanesca (anchovies, olives, chilli - 3.5 syns)

S - 2 espresso with sugar (2 syn), 1 Hifi (3 syn)

I really don't think having bread is worth it, I would much rather keep my HEB for hifi bars.

Got another bloody party tomorrow - going to take some diet lemonade so I don't drink all my syns in sugar.

Also have a crispy duck in the fridge - I thought it'd be ok, but checking the app it's a crazy number of syns. That will probably be dinner tomorrow, but I'll cook myself some rice to have with it instead of pancakes.

I feel like I've rather lost the plot with this diet so I'm tracking things on the weightloss planner online as well. Might try a few SP days starting on Sunday, but there's no point when I have food in the fridge I know needs eating.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/09/2019 15:14

Really hungry today. Had some melon and prosciutto as a snack, it was really tasty. Still want to stuff my face with chocolate though

troppibambini · 06/09/2019 20:06

Well done blondes!

Yes Spain was delicious as was all the wine I drank however it's left me with a stomach the same size as the country so I'm on it big time!Grin

B-banana
L-left over curry, rice, Dahl and cauliflower
S-chilli supernoodles
D-chilli rice and salad with ww wrap

I'm having a big glass of wine as my syns trying to organise all four kids back to school this week has finished me off so I'm not moving of the sofa tonight.
