@TigerJoy It was only because I had nothing to snack Grin I'm quite bad for grazing, especially in between coming in and making dinner.

B - Muller toffee yogurt 1. Skinny cappuccino HeA.

L - leftover chilli con carne and rice.

D - Think it'll be marinated chicken and couscous and salad. A pitta bread perhaps for my HEB. Will probably eat the remaining potato salad. Might have some cheese for my other HeA.

Hmmmbop · 03/09/2019 16:00

I'm back on it!
So far today-

Breakfast: porridge made with milk (A)
Lunch: bistro salad from Aldi, smoked mackerel, curried chickpeas, peppers, tomatoes, balsamic vinegar
Snack: apple, latte

Dinner is going to be be diet coke chicken, roast med veg and broccoli.

TigerJoy · 03/09/2019 16:42

Hmmm @Hmmmbop I like the idea of smoked mackerel and curried chickpeas in a salad! I will save that idea up for later, thanks for the inspiration!

I have had a bonkers day. Didn't have a chance to eat breakfast until 11am, only just got to eat lunch! Meetings running on etc.

B: nectarines, blueberries, ff greek yoghurt (Fage - think I prefer the Aldi stuff! It's less thick)
L: salad nicoise with radicchio as the lettuce, which worked (5 syns for olives plus dressing)
D: enchilada lasagna from Pinch of Nom, if I can be arsed

Have some mince to cook - will probably cook a bolognese tonight as well and freeze for another day

S: no time! However I had LOADS of ice cream yesterday (3 tiny portions - but 3!) so hopefully today will make up for it. Weigh in tomorrow.

Wwydpooh · 03/09/2019 18:52

TigerJoy it's the Aldi curried chickpeas, 1 syn per pack, you only need half the pack, really tasty.

My diet coke chicken is currently in the oven. Can't wait.

Wwydpooh · 03/09/2019 18:54

TigerJoy how many syns in the enchilada lasagna? Sounds tasty.

I appear to have put on a pound!! How?! Why AngrySad I've stuck to it rigidly! I'm so pissed off.

supercee · 04/09/2019 06:47

On any 'normal' week I'd drink too much wine over the space of a week and indulge in a takeaway and all manner of rubbish and remain the same.

I've stuck to Slimming World, had 1 small glass of red (which I synned and managed to stick to just one) and put on a pound. So disheartening.

Telling myself after so many periods of going low carbs to lose weight my body needs more time to adjust? Or is that wishful thinking Confused

TigerJoy · 04/09/2019 08:10

Oh @supercee I really feel for you! You have been so good!

It might just be water weight. My weight can go up and down by about 5 pounds according to water. Are you weighing every day or just weighed today or going by the sw scales? I weigh every day and pay attention to the general trend not just the number that morning. I've had weeks where the sw scales have said maintain or gain where my weighing at home has said a steady (but small) loss and then the next week I've had a "big loss" (which has really been over 2 weeks but the week.before i was just heavier that particular weigh day).

Your body might also be adjusting. Think about it logically - if you continue to eat no takeaways and drink less wine you are bound to lose weight long term. Stick with it.

I've tried so many diets and given up - and probably they would have worked long term but I just couldn't sustain them. For me sw is a sustainable way of eating - you just have to keep going!

supercee · 04/09/2019 08:32

I just weighed today Sad

I know that weight fluctuates and I tend to go by certain clothes anyway rather than the scales but I was hoping for at least a couple of pounds in water weight to come off. I don't have all that much to lose but still.

I think I'll weigh myself more regularly to see how I go. Definitely sticking with it for now as it only has just been a week and I can see it being more sustainable/long term than the other diets I've tried. Thought the lesser alcohol alone would've made me drop a pound!

Oh well. Onwards and hopefully downwards. Sigh.

TigerJoy · 04/09/2019 08:54

Btw it's harder to see results when you don't have much to lose.

Blondeshavemorefun · 04/09/2019 13:20

@supercee. It’s shit when you are good but gain

Some tally the loss over a month rather then weekly

Maybe next week will be your big loss

B bacon sarnie with cheese b&a and ketchup 1

OP posts:
TigerJoy · 04/09/2019 13:56

B: mango, blueberries and yoghurt. I LOVE mango

L: googled recipes for what I had in the fridge - made a BBC Good Food recipe of radicchio, celery, cannelini bean, tomato, tuna salad with balsamic/EVOO dressing (2 syn). DO NOT make this it was not great. Bleurgh

D: Lasagna. Might make my own white sauce - by my reckoning it works out at only 6 syns a portion (50g each of butter and flour, 500ml whole milk) if you HEA the cheese.

Weigh in later...expecting to remain the same this week

Hmmmbop · 04/09/2019 15:10

TigerJoy if you use 25g cornflour it's 4 syns. My lasagna is 0.5 syn and 1 hex a per portion as I use skimmed milk.
