Dinner time even. Have chicken in the fridge but struggling for inspo. My fakeaway salt and pepper chicken that seems to be a big hit online was a big disaster Confused

MumInTheCity · 01/09/2019 15:17

@Blondeshavemorefun yellow and orange things are just different coloured tomatoes!

TigerJoy · 01/09/2019 16:18

Nectarine for breakfast

Leftovers for lunch- mashed potato (3 syns for butter), stir fried veg, cold salmon

1 hifi bar and was sabotaged with chocolate cake by visiting friend - literally didn't know how to say no to a slice! 6.5 syns I think?

Dinner out which will likely be a disaster. Best scenario is steak and chips.

Let's round it up to a 100 syns today...

TigerJoy · 01/09/2019 16:34

Just made a lentil salad to take for dinner tonight. I'm going to an outdoor event with family and it'll be all street food vans. Hoping to get a steak or burger and will eat with the lentils I've prepared.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 01/09/2019 17:46

That's good planning, @TigerJoy!

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 01/09/2019 19:58

B - 45g branflakes, 150ml whole milk, black coffee
L - sausages and scrambled egg (9 syns of lovely porkiness. Sunday treat)
S - Diet Coke, black coffee
D - boiled ham, jacket potato with spread (5 syns) and peas, with onion and garlic dip (Pinch Of Nom recipe, free)

So, all syns used but I’m full up! 3rd day on plan, got in a dog walk too. I CAN do this!!

MumInTheCity · 01/09/2019 21:32

B/L - 3 veg sausages (1.5), bacon, egg, tomatoes, mushrooms
D - salmon with onions, peppers, tomatoes and mushy peas (was going to do chips but was too lazy!)
S - 2 hifis (HEB), mini twister ice lolly (2)

TigerJoy · 01/09/2019 23:45

Woohoo well done @dexter!

I ended up with a steak baguette AND the lentils AND a hot chocolate AND 2 handfuls of popcorn.

I really have poor impulse control which is why I need a diet. Also ate some ham and cucumber before I went out because I was feeling snacky. However I have had lovely family day.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 02/09/2019 08:29

Well, @TigerJoy the lovely family day is the most important thing in the world! Glad you enjoyed, and today is another day. Onwards and upwards, my friend!

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/09/2019 09:23

@TigerJoy but you also had cucumber :) the odd family day out is fine and very important

B ham eggs beans TOM

L ham and cheese a pitta bread b with carrots and Cu umber

T mince and bacon potato onion bake and salad

S crisps 3 - found some low Syn yummy ones. Tho small packet and I want two which kinda defeats the object 😂😂

TigerJoy · 02/09/2019 11:57

Haha I did have cucumber! But also chips! Hoovered up off children's plates. But also cuddles with 9 year old niece and 10 year old nephew - they both fell asleep in my lap - they'll not cuddle me like that for much longer. A great day.

I'm coming up to my period and I am like the bloody hungry caterpillar - I just want to eat everything.

B: banana and yoghurt

L: salmon fillet, radicchio, lentil salad with 1tsp olive oil (2 syn)

D: steak, actifry chips (3 syn oil), some assorted speed veg

Snacks: some nougat which I'll guess at 2 syn, 2 x hifi bars, probably some fruit, plus whatever the hungry caterpillar is having

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/09/2019 12:08

What yogs do you all have ?

Syn free so fat free natural

Or those milliner lights now synned 😂😂

Tho for years they have been fine and free and now decide to have them synned

Would it hurt to one one a day and not count it

I always have plain ff greek yoghurt. Generally get a 1 kg pots from aldi as i eat about 250g in one serving! With fruit. But if the fruit isn't very sweet i stir in a dash of skinny syrup (caramel).

I don't think 1 muller light a day would hurt. I think they only synned them because people were eating 10 a day or something then complaining that they weren't losing weight!

It's all about being sensible. I can eat exactly on plan and not lose weight because I had large portions of pasta and lots of fresh fruit and ham. I was just eating too much.

FiveNightsAtMummys · 02/09/2019 15:21

Breakfast - Granola (heb) with vanilla greek yog (1/2 syn) & blueberrie...
Lunch - poached egg on toast (my 2nd heb), alpen protein bar (3rd heb), muller yog (1/2 syn) & white stilton with cranberries (5.5 syns)...
Dinner - m&s smoked haddock fish cake (3.5 syns), sweet potato wedges (2.5 syns), salad and mayo (1 syn).

Snack later will be a brew and maybe a crunchie. (I'm at target so get extra healthy extras and syns)

supercee · 02/09/2019 17:18

My effort today -

B - Sliced banana on toast HeB

L - Ham salad with a boiled egg and syn free potato salad

D - chilli with rice. Will have cheese as my HeA. See how I feel after that, might have a muller yoghurt 0.5.

Also had a Tassimo cappuccino which is 2.5 syns I think.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 02/09/2019 18:05

Another fan of 0% fat Greek yoghurt, I put some sweetener it it. Smashing with meringues and fruit.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 02/09/2019 18:08

@supercee that doesn't seem a lot! Be careful, it seems that eating too little can slow weight loss down Confused

Blondeshavemorefun · 02/09/2019 18:22

So what the diff between ff Greek yog and Aldi ff natural yog

OP posts:
supercee · 02/09/2019 18:33

@dexterslockedintheshedagain do you think? The salad was pretty big and I had 2 portions of chilliBlush It was my day off today so haven't moved much! Wednesday is my first weigh in so really hoping for loss with these carbs!!

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 02/09/2019 19:29

Do you feel hungry tho? Everyone's different, but I know sometimes when I've not eaten a lot, I've not lost. Suppose it all comes down to what you eat. I couldn't eat too much salad! But you'll find what works for you, you just have to listen to your body. Think if you don't eat much, it thinks you're going to starve so starts conserving energy or something like that. I'd be alright for a month or two tho Wink

Today's eats:

B - 45g branflakes (HEB) 150ml whole milk (1st HEA) black coffee
L - Stilton ploughman’s with ham and Branson pickle 6 syns
S - Diet Coke, black coffee
D - sloppy joes pasta (free) with Parmesan (2nd HEA)

Dogs walked again - they’ve never had it so good and are knackered - been gym, and helped DH take a tree down in our garden. Been another busy day, 16,852 steps so far.
No cravings for wine either.

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 02/09/2019 19:31

@Blondeshavemorefun Greek yoghurt (ff or otherwise) is creamier and less sharp tasting, I think.

TigerJoy · 02/09/2019 20:02

Good work @dexter!

@blondes greek yoghurt is thicker, and i also find it less sharp. As a result I find it more filling. I think you get more protein as well - i think the way it's made basically removes some liquid from the yoghurt so there is more milk protein per portion

8 syns left. Might use them for some chocolate ice cream...

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 02/09/2019 20:05

DH is waving a magnum in my face Angry
Be strong, Dexter. Be strong ......

TigerJoy · 02/09/2019 20:06

@supercee that looks like a great day. I'm very impressed by your lack of snacking!
