Yeah that's it. However I used to make it with pancetta and then with a massive wodge of butter stirred in at the end. It's not quite the same without it!

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 14/08/2019 23:46

@Blondeshavemorefun -it's pre roasted, and frozen, by a company called strong roots, and they use a little oil. It means it's very quick to cook and very tasty though.

dancemom · 15/08/2019 06:21

Did anyone else have a couple of false starts when they started?

Had a really good start yesterday, weetabix for breakfast with the almond milk coffee. Then off to a friends for lunch on way down to visit the in laws. Took fruit salad and cooked chicken and salad to friends. All good.

Arrived at in laws and they'd brought birthday cake for DC's birthday so I went over my syns by then. No dinner which I guess could have combatted it but argh to life getting in the way!!

Going to start again today!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/08/2019 10:15

@twinkledag not false starts as such but some days be high in syns and others low

Hence now I do 105 for the week rather then 15 a day

OP posts:
Ofpalestsilver · 15/08/2019 10:28

@twinkledag - I agree with blondes. Think more about the week as a whole. It's not official SW advice but it has worked for me in the past as long as you're evening out throughout the week I think weight loss happens.

Of course, I couldn't face weigh in last night (been a long week so I sat on my sofa and didn't move) but I'll try and go somewhere else this week!

Today, I'm having Kellogg's no added sugar granola with coconut and cashews for breakfast with lacto-free milk and a nice cuppa. It's actually pretty nice so would recommend it. Tastes like it would be quite filling too.

L will be a salad with leaves, cucumber, tomatoes, mozzarella, capers and tuna.

I have my plain eating ILs over this weekend so dinner will be breaded fish and two veg for them and plain fish for me!

Ofpalestsilver · 15/08/2019 10:29

@Blondeshavemorefun - what's a porto bacon bake, do you mean pasta? Porto bacon bake sounds interesting though!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/08/2019 10:38

I feel like that in evening hence why I wi Fri

My spelling. Potato bacon bake

I also add thin sliced carrots.

It’s yummy and filling and free

potato bacon bake

dexterslockedintheshedagain · 15/08/2019 17:01

Feel rubbish, fat and bloated. I've eaten utter crap the last few days, and I go away for two weeks tomorrow. Only to the New Forest, so whilst I'm not going to be mega strict (I'm on holiday, after all!) I'm hoping to do a fair bit of activity (bike riding, walking, running) so hopefully it won't be too bad.
Let's get this back under control!

Blondeshavemorefun · 15/08/2019 18:12

Enjoy your holiday @dexterslockedintheshedagain and start again

OP posts:
TigerJoy · 15/08/2019 18:33

@dexterlockedintheshedagain make good choices where you can but don't worry too much. So much is out of your control on holiday.

B Mango, passionfruit and yogurt

L lamb kofta fattet from Comptoir Libonais. Absolutely no idea of syns / calories but lamb will be free, pitta and tahini will be syned. Hoping no other syns today will balance it out!

D pasta alla Norma (roast aubergine stirred with tomato sauce and cooked pasta)

Had 2 chocolate mint hifis which are TOO GOOD. I ate THREE last night!

twinkledag · 15/08/2019 23:03

Still not 100% on track as away so not able to control the food -

Breakfast - 1 slice of wholemeal toast and egg, melon

Lunch - Chicken and salad

Dinner - Nando's salad with halloumi

Snacks - a cream tea scone, crisps and a sliver of homemade cake

Back home tomorrow evening!

WeKnowFrogsGoShaLaLaLaLa · 16/08/2019 08:50

OP posts:
TigerJoy · 17/08/2019 09:36

@dancemom sorry for the heartbreak diet, but at least you have the 5lbs loss!

@blondeshavemorefun I had lunch out Thursday and Friday and dinner at a friend's yesterday. Feel like a hippo

Thinking of trying SP for the weekend but DH and I are planning nice meal together at home tonight and I know he wants pasta (he's Italian). I might make him pasta with peas for his starter then we both have steak and roast veg.

dancemom · 17/08/2019 10:26

Thank you @TigerJoy

Well the heartbreak diet is firmly continuing so let's see if I can get another decent loss out of it at least!

TigerJoy · 17/08/2019 11:21

Ahhhh I'm so sorry @dancemom. Big virtual hugs from me

I hope you can look after yourself this weekend xxx
