I have two random leeks and some chicken breast in the fridge. Does anyone have any ideas for tea that I can make from those?

So far today I have had a late breakfast of bacon, mushrooms and tomatoes with lots of tea.

OP posts:
ALemonyPea · 27/04/2019 12:49

Chicken, leek and potato soup?

Me today:
B: coconut (0.5)
Apple, melon
D: seeded bagel thin (HEB)
Cheese (HEA)
Orange, banana
Pufts (3.5)

DH is making quesadillas for tea, so I'll not be having that. Will probably have some of the chicken with brown rice and stir fried veg

DeltaAlphaDelta · 27/04/2019 12:50

Im going to flatten some chicken breasts to use as pizza bases. Few minutes fried on either side, then top with tomato puree and heka mozzarella. Oven for 10 mins!

WinkyisbackontheButterBeer · 27/04/2019 18:47

I ended up making this
basementbakehouse.com/2017/01/loaded-leek-potato-bake-slimming-world-syn-free/
But had to use chicken gravy granules as I seem to have run out of stock cubes. I think it ended up as 1.5 syns

It was quite nice with pan fried chicken and salad.
Pineapple and melon for pudding.
I have a bar of dark chocolate for later (7 syns)

DeltaAlphaDelta · 27/04/2019 19:23

That looks good. Will have to try that!

littlepooch · 27/04/2019 19:41

Thank you. I hadn’t seen the skinny burgers. Just googled and they look really good for bbq season.

WinkyisbackontheButterBeer · 27/04/2019 20:27

SoapyChoc your dinner sounds great. Do you have the recipe please?

littlepooch · 27/04/2019 21:03

The burgers are pretty good. I don't mind their skinny sausages either. I stock up when they are both on offer.

soapchoc I love the sound of your dinner, I like donburi in our local Japanese restaurant!

WinkyisbackontheButterBeer · 27/04/2019 21:25

Are the sausages free too? And have you tried the skinny chicken burgers?

WillowUfgood · 27/04/2019 23:38

I warm and crisp up the dessert waffles in the air fryer so they're like you'd get in a restaurant with the waffles and ice cream Grin

WinkyisbackontheButterBeer · 28/04/2019 09:02

Mmmmm. Waffles. They sound really good.
I wonder whether they would cook in a toasty machine. Hmm We don’t have a waffle thing.

troppibambini · 28/04/2019 17:08

Ok after a truly horrific weekend and an equally horrific clothes shopping trip I'm back on board.
B-melon
L-a popcorn bar (Heb)
Four mini meringues (2syns)
D-chicken potatoes and salad

Maybe not the most healthy day but at least on plan.

MaMisled · 28/04/2019 17:19

Bacon rashers with rind removed, 1 poached egg, 2 tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms in frylight. Lunch was big salad with chicken breast and orzo, dressed with lemon juice and oregano, Alpen bar, 2 plums and 2 satsumas. Dinner will be lean steak stew with loads of veg, garlic and red wine in it. I've made cheesy dumplings and I'll have one tiny one. Later I'll have 100g strawberries with 25g of Halo ice cream.

Devaki · 28/04/2019 17:25

Jacket potato with vegetable ratatouille style sauce ( tomatoes, courgette, mushroom, red peppers, broccoli)

Mugshot ( 1 syn) as I'm starving and waiting for my roast dinner to cook
Later I'll have lean roast pork, boiled baby potatoes and veg.

I'll use the rest of syns on red wine this evening.

Ohyesiam · 28/04/2019 17:30

Hi fellow SW people.
Does anyone know how much a quorn ultimate burger is? They might be new( new to me anyway) but they’re not on the app.
Many thanks

WillowUfgood · 28/04/2019 17:38

@WinkyisbackontheButterBeer

I haven't tried them in the toasty machine, but I imagine they might work. I've done omelettes in it before lol

I don't have a waffle maker, just bought a silicone mould off Amazon Grin

Today's Menu!

B - SW sausages, 1 slice wholemeal toast (half B choice), tinned toms, mushrooms, onions, 1 fried egg and 1 slice of Black Pudding (3.5 syns)
L - Omelette stuffed with peppers and spring onions and cheese (A) served with some mixed leaves and a TBSP of Crucials chilli and garlic sauce (0.5 syn)
D - Roast chicken (skin removed) with broccoli, cauliflower and spinach.

Hifi for later (other half of B)
Might have a Raspberry Donut Fab later too (4.5)

littlepooch · 28/04/2019 19:17

littlepooch · 28/04/2019 19:17

I love the sound of the waffles but I'm scared to make them in case they turn out rubbish!! Lol.
