I've also made so asparagus and bacon soup for lunch tomorrow and chopped up all the fruit from the fruit bowl that was starting to look a bit manky and made a fruit salad to snack on.

Winky - that's a leading question! early days yet but I shall carry on much as before but with a few extras. Fortunately I don't have a sweet tooth, and am teetotal, but I do have a love affair with bread!!!

Started again properly as feeling like a frump after having my 2nd baby! Lost 4lbs in my first week but long way to go.
B - baked oats using hex b and milk as hex a for tea
L - savoury rice (1.5) with chicken and baked beans
D - chicken and leek risotto from take 5 sw cook book...was so tasty!
Then had a cookie for 6 Syns and chocolate popcorn for another 6.
Ending the day on 13.5 Syns.

Omelette is an excellent idea. Thank you egden
I suppose that I could use some syns and have something more exciting but quite honestly- I’d rather use them for wine!

Winky - how about a mushroom omelette, or fish and rice, vegan sausages (if you have any), baked beans, huge plate of veg or salad. Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

B- muesli, yogurt, melon and strawberries
L- chicken, pasta and beetroot salad
Yogurt
Hobnob (3.5)

I can’t decide what to have for tea. DH hasn’t been well and is off his food and Ds has requested pesto pasta. I can’t face anymore of the bolognese that is in the fridge.
Any ideas for a tasty, quick and easy syn free meal would be hugely appreciated.

Well done OP you’re doing well.

I had a good ‘diet’ Day yesterday although SW might not agree-

B- porridge and raspberries
L- chicken salad
D- bran flakes and grapes

S- 1 mini pack of biscuits (100cal) large glass of wine.

Not ideal I know but...

Not the best food day today
B- muesli, pineapple, raspberries and yogurt
L- jacket with salad and chicken breast with coleslaw at the local pub (not sure of syns)
T- more spaghetti Bolognese
S- Rich tea biscuit-2, 2 syns of dark chocolate, half a bottle of prosecco.

However.... I have just dragged a bag of old clothes out of the back of the wardrobe and have found that lots of them fit!!! I haven’t been able to wear them since quite a long time before ds was born. Grin

Sadly the c section pooch is still very much there and doesn’t appear to be going anywhere. Sad

Tea was spaghetti Bolognese with a salad

Am still hungry and really fancy something stodgy!

I think that a rich tea is 2 syns
Today
B- pineapple, raspberries, Greek yog and muesli
L- chicken and pasta salad with lettuce, peppers, cucumber, spring onion, tomatoes and beetroot. Light mayo (1)
Brooklea yogurt
T- homemade hunters chicken with hex cheese. I think there is now some syn value to this as it has sweetener in but it is free in my old books so I tend to count it as free.
With tender stem broccoli and sugar snap peas. New potatoes.
Small bar of dark chocolate (7)

I lost an incredible 2 lbs despite my wayward rebellion last week. Obviously celebrated with a takeaway last night Hmm

But back on it today and hoping for a good week.

B- porridge and raspberries
L- chicken, salad and a banana
D- remains to be seen but trying to keep it syn free.

Oh and I had 1 rich tea biscuit as a snack at work, anyone know the syns in them?

Lost 1lb which was miraculous so taking that. Also got SotW and won the raffle so drowning in fruit now!

Yesterday:
B - pear, clementines, HiFis
S - popcorn bar, nectarine
L - jacket potato with tuna, sweetcorn, celery and coleslaw (5? for mayo), banana
S - mango, raspberries, yogurt (0.5)
D - Aldi skinny sausages (3), chips, salad (2 for salad cream), ice lolly (4.5), Skips (4)

Is there a trick to boiled eggs? Mine are really hard to peel and end up looking like golf balls!

Today I have had
B- toasted oats with pineapple and Greek yogurt
L- chicken, couscous salad
Muller grapefruit yogurt (0.5)
T- steak, sweet potato chips, salad, mushrooms and corn on the cob, light mayo (2)
S- rice cake (2) 2x giant chocolate buttons (1.5), nectarine

Theboy
I buy the ready shredded coleslaw kit from Morrisons (£1) and mix the veg with ff Greek yogurt, salt and pepper, 1/2 tsp mustard powder and a glug of fat free French salad dressing to add a bit of flavour.
I do often add a squirt of light mayo but not enough for it to really count.

It’s not quite the same as proper coleslaw but it’s not bad.

Ooh Winky please share your recipe for syn free coleslaw - I’m really missing mayo/coleslaw, —and bread, chocolate, piles of carbs, cakes, pastry...— so a free version would be amazing.

Weigh day today & I lost 3lb & was utterly surprised to get slimmer of the week and month! 11.5lb lost now, hoping it continues.

Today has been:
Breakfast 40g porridge HEB + skimmed milk from HEA + strawberries
Lunch - Thai curry butternut squash soup (4.5 syns), fat free Greek yoghurt, melon
Snack - banana, malt lunchbox loaf 5 syns
Dinner - homemade pizza made with wrap (7 syns) passata mushroom ham & cheddar HEB. Apple & banana

I like the idea of having things ready to go in the fridge. I don’t like hard boiled eggs but pasta/chicken is s good idea. I’m trying not to snack at all but sometimes (like today) it is necessary!

I had a weird 2lb loss despite my Chinese buffet and wine fuelled long weekend. I have no idea how!

Today was
B- muesli, yogurt and fruit
L- salad with chicken and pasta. 1/2 tbsp light mayo- 1syn
S- Apple and a nectarine
T- skinny burger, sw chips and salad- 1 syn for burger, 1 for ketchup, hex cheese
I have not been drinking enough water so am going to try to up that this week.
Will be having a small glass of red later. Wine

I wondered whether we could add to this thread by adding any tips or tricks that we have learnt that help you to stay on track.
For me it is always having some key foods in the fridge that are grab ready. If I have to faff with them I won’t eat them (and will go for crap instead) so I do all of the prep in one and keep them in Tupperware ready to go.
Things like
Hard boiled eggs
Cut up melon and pineapple
Cold cooked pasta
Chicken - I slow cook a whole chicken and use it for tea one night then strip off the rest of the meat and use it as needed.
Syn free coleslaw

I have also started buying the Aldi sugar free sweets that they keep next to the till. They are either 1/2 syn each or 2 for 1/2 a syn and take the edge off when I am really struggling with sweet cravings.
I also have something bitter- such as a coffee, if I am craving sweets as it seems to do something with the craving.
Pickled onions are also great for this I find.
