Has anyone found a cheese sauce solution they like? I am making macaroni cheese for a games night on Friday. I tried the natural yogurt and egg solution on Lasagne. I loved this but not sure if it will work on mac n cheese, and the cottage cheese and stock (yuk). Am I nest to just make a white sauce with skimmed milk and syn the flour?

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/03/2018 07:58

Thanks @groovee

boats16 · 06/03/2018 07:59

Wecome blonde Smile Went swimming again yesterday, There was 4 in the pool. It was ace. So quiet at that time before all the schools etc pile in Smile. Id eat the cheesecake too, its one of my MANY weaknesses [Embarrassed]

calzone · 06/03/2018 09:17

Boo......scroll up to my last post and do the cauliflower sauce.

It’s amazing!!!!

CuriousHedgehog · 06/03/2018 10:59

My favourite mac and cheese recipe (even pre slimming world) is just pumpkin purée mixed with cheddar cheese. Plus lots of black pepper and nutmeg of course. You can use butternut squash or some supermarkets have tinned pumpkin. Just make sure it’s 100% pumpkin as there is also pumpkin pie mix which has added sugar and spices.

Fantastic results, Boo & Muminthecity. 🎆
Welcome, Blonde, you'll get loads of ideas and moral support on this thread.

My baby let me have no sleep last night and was awake from 7am-12:15pm. Haven't eaten a thing yet 😞

Flutterby81 · 06/03/2018 18:28

Just made mushroom and Parmesan chicken meatballs (well turkey as can’t get chicken mince) from slimming eats was delicious will definetly make it again.
Hope you get a good nights sleep tonight margarita Smile

TheImprobableGirl · 06/03/2018 19:25

Might try those Flutterby - i've got sausages, bacon, eggs and tomatoes for dinner. Does anybody else get really cold and shaky??!

I've eaten enough all day:
B - Light and free vanilla yoghurt
L - roast chicken, microwave veg, baked potato and a bit of onion gravy
D - going to be sausages, bacon, eggs, beans, and some tomatoes

Snacks - an orange and a packet of ready salted walkers, just had a bacon sandwich with HEB bread too

I've drank two cups of coffee, loads of water, and a can of diet coke but am freezing cold and shivering, despite the weather being mild?!

OwlinaTree · 06/03/2018 19:44

Well done mum that's fab!

I'm pleased I lost 1lb tonight! Only 1/2 lb to go to get back into target range! I missed out on slimmer of the year or whatever it's called by 1lb! Pleased to be second place though.

TheImprobableGirl · 06/03/2018 19:48

Ash unlucky on missing out on first owlina , fab achievement though! How much have you lost in total?

Groovee · 06/03/2018 19:57

Well done at @OwlinaTree. I missed out by half a pound but my pal won it so happy for her.

Lost 1lb this week. Only 1lb more to target.

Welcome to all the newbies and well done to all the losers!

Been quiet here, was snowed in both with snow and with work so not necessarily stuck to plan but also barely had time to eat. Was shocked to find out the syns in Coffee Mate when we ran out of milk and I had to use that instead though. Shock

Think I'm just going to have to buy something on the way to group for the taster, I normally cook but don't have the time this time.

Also, am I imagining things or are there a lot more tasters than there ever used to be? Been at SW on and off for a few years and this past year seems to have had the most tasters I've ever experienced.

Groovee · 06/03/2018 20:47

Think there's one for every big event like young loser, Miss slinky then a few others thrown in for Christmas.

MumInTheCity · 06/03/2018 20:53

Thank you everyone, and well done to all the losers. Had a rubbish day at work today, lots of pressure and stress at the moment but I haven't reached for the chocolate yet. I'm actually too exhausted to eat anything else!

B - nothing (had to be in early, only found out last minute so mad rush)
L - meatfree burger (free) with salad and extra light mayo (1 syn)
D - Hawaiian pasta bake (HEA)
S - nothing

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/03/2018 22:06

@frozen. Oh no :( how old is baby

@owlina and @groovee well done on loss

@mum what’s the recipe of the Halloween bake please

How much has everyone lost?

B egg bacon beans toms toast b apple
L jacket tuna salad mayo 1 cheese a
T sweet potato and onion stew and rice
S crisps 4

I do love a 'fried' breakie and fills me up

Not that I would eat that's every day as don't have time to cook it - but can you really lose weight eating a breakie like that 3/4 times a week ?

FrozenMargarita17 · 06/03/2018 22:11

@Blondeshavemorefun 7 months :( I'm absolutely shattered and all she did all day was whinge. It was awful. I cried so much today!

Groovee · 06/03/2018 22:14

@Blondeshavemorefun I have lost 4st 6lb on SW. Have lost 5st 3lb altogether.

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/03/2018 22:15

POor you. Teething? Had a few bad nights myself when first ones pop through - nurofen is good

I have a 11mth old but also work nights as a maternity practitioner to newborns

FrozenMargarita17 · 06/03/2018 22:28

@Blondeshavemorefun yeah teething but also just a champion sleep fighter. It's so frustrating and she gets herself so wound up! I'm giving her calpol/nurofen and teething gel.

boats16 · 06/03/2018 22:45

Well done@OwlinaTree andGroovee .
That's amazingBlondeshavemorefun🎉
I have lost 13lb so far and am eager to reach my stone mark ( weigh in Fri ) 😮 You are an inspiration ☺ when mine were young they cried constantly with bad colic 😲

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/03/2018 22:55

Wow nearly a stone @boats. Well done !!!

Blondeshavemorefun · 06/03/2018 22:56

@grooovee. WOw !! How long did that take you?

FrozenMargarita17 · 06/03/2018 22:56

I've only lost 10lb and I've been doing it for 4 weeks. I'll keep going though!

boats16 · 06/03/2018 23:26

Keep going @ FrozenMargarita .Its taken me ages to get here as a lot of my losses were 1lb or STS weeks. You have done amazing in 4 wks.I think I'd only lost about 4lb then . I guess I'm just a slow loser 🤔
