Blondes this is the recipe for the pasta bake (just scroll down.)

OwlinaTree · 07/03/2018 07:17

It's took me ages too, well over a year!

boats16 · 07/03/2018 08:11

I fell ridiculous saying 'Ive lost 13lb' ( really excited ) when I hear some of your losses. Does anyone feel the same ?

OwlinaTree · 07/03/2018 08:28

The journey of a thousand miles starts with a single step.

latedecember1963 · 07/03/2018 09:01

I've lost 1 stone & 10 1/2 lbs in just over a year. I'm quite a slow loser but I'm happy so long as the trend is downwards. When I joined SW in Feb 2017 I wanted it to be the start of a new way of living and not just a quick short-term fix.

boo1507 · 07/03/2018 09:22

I think everyone is on an individual journey and comparing to others is perhaps not always helpful. I've lost 8lb in 6 weeks as I gain quite a bit on star weeks, and I'm proud of my progress so far. Once we all get to target we all be healthy and lovely and it won't matter how long it took. Huge well done to everyone for getting this far!

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2018 09:22

Thanks @mum. Sounds nice tho wouldn’t the pineapple be sinned as cooked ?

The confusing sw rule

UnwiseOldElf · 07/03/2018 11:59

Finally back in the "zone". 5lb down this week and got my 3.5 stone award. (Has taken me since August last year if people are looking at timescales - but I second what's been said about it being a very individual thing.)

boats16 · 07/03/2018 12:48

Well doneUnwiseOldElf.😀its true about the journey being an individual one.As long as youre losing what does it matter . Saying that, I always have days where I compare myself to others😯

Testarossa1 · 07/03/2018 14:09

I made SW version of bread and butter pudding last night, with raspberries. 3.5syns per serving. Was really nice to have a warm pud and it tasted really nice too!

Blondes - I've lost 1stone and 1 pound in 8 weeks.
B - raspberry wheaties and plain yoghurt
L - homemade veg soup, mini wraps made with cooked chicken slices, filled with salad
D - spaghetti Bolognese

MyGuideJools · 07/03/2018 14:22

welcome Blondes I'm a neonatal nurse so you have my sympathy 're night shifts, I hate nights. it really messes up my eating.
I lost 5 stone in 10 months, then my terminally ill dad died and I fell off the wagon and put 3 stone back on in 5 monthsBlush
So I've started again and I think my loss seems slower. I've lost 7lb in a month so far.
I get so cross with myself for putting so much back on but it's done now and so I try again!Hmm

TheImprobableGirl · 07/03/2018 14:36

I saw a meme the other day that pretty much summed my journey up! It was something like "Be Kind to Yourself.... I've been being Kind to myself since November, what I need is a kick up the arse!" or words to that effect.

I started my journey on 7th January 2017 and have lost a grand total of 6lbs... but I obviously haven't been doing Slimming World all that time Grin

Had a delicious cottage pie for lunch, but bought the mash so that was 6 syns, and had a sneaky packet of Squares, didn't realise they'd be 6 syns though, almost as bad as Walkers Sad

Feel really great and managed to go to the gym today in the outside pool which was lovely!

Any ideas on what I can have as speed to go alongside chicken fried rice and peas? Don't really fancy a salad...

BlooBagoo · 07/03/2018 15:18

2.5lb off for me. Back down to the lowest I've been but first hit that in December so that shows how much I've struggled over the winter. :(

That's 1st 9lb off in total for me (although I did lose a stone before joining last January), but I do think my shape has changed a good bit, always say I need to do measurements and always forget. It's a year next week since I got my 1 stone award, hopefully will try and get my 2 stone before the end of the month.

boats16 · 07/03/2018 15:35

Well done Bloo Smile
TheImprobableGirl I would have a couple of skinless ,boneless chicken thighs with that , coated in a seasoning. I know its not speed but its free Smile

TheImprobableGirl · 07/03/2018 15:44

Probably going to have a decent amount of chicken in the fried rice boats, i'm thinking maybe a quick carrot/courgette/pepper/red onion, into tiny batons and then stirfried with a bit of garlic and soy sauce.... i am planning on having a LOT of chicken fried rice Grin

TheImprobableGirl · 07/03/2018 15:45

Normally I'd have stirfried a bit of purple sprouting broccoli or some pakchoi/bokchoi but I can't really be bothered walking all the way to Tesco

TheImprobableGirl · 07/03/2018 15:46

Great job bloo, 2.5lbs is a great achievement for a normal week. I'm hoping to lose 2-3lbs per week, but I am combining a lot of gym work to get that too

Groovee · 07/03/2018 15:51

Great losses.

I have had a slow journey since July and I've been up and down off target since December and we're now in March! But it's my journey and I am getting there. It all adds up in the end!

OP posts:
boats16 · 07/03/2018 16:50

Lol, I have chicken with everything TheImprobableGirl I would eat it all the time but for the fact I need variety Smile. Ive been invited for a girly sleepover at my friends but I know it will be wine, fity shades freed and a curry.(She loves to cook) I love going down there but this time Im focused on my weight. She gets offended if I wont eat and drink with her.
I would welcome any ideas girls?

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2018 19:37

@unwise that's a great loss. Well done

@testarossa. I love b&b pudding

And fab loss. Be nice if I could lose a stone in 8w

@jools. Nights do make it harder as hungry if awake so been good and trying to eat fruit

Sorry about your dad 💐💐

@thelm. Crisps are my downfall. Don't care about chocolate - think skips are the best

MumInTheCity · 07/03/2018 19:37

Blondes - yes technically you should syn the pineapple I suppose - however it's only 1 syn for 100g and I use less than 50g per portion so it's not much.

Everyone's journey is different and we all have different starting points as well. I am losing weight quickly at the moment but that's because I have a huge amount to lose, and judging by past experience it will slow down a lot after the first few stone.

Today's food:
B - banana
L - leftover pasta bake (HEA)
D - Diet Coke chicken, rice and vegetables
S - bag of skips (3.5 syns), fibre one brownie (4 syns)

Blondeshavemorefun · 07/03/2018 19:42
