Well done pink unicorn Smile that’s a fantastic start!

Flutterby81 · 20/03/2018 07:31

Not sure what I’m eating today need to go shopping really but at work later and don’t think I can muster up the energy to do both today 😂 will be spag Bol for dinner most likely and maybe omelette for lunch 🤔 hope everyone has a great day.

boo1507 · 20/03/2018 07:46

flutterby - I went for Mexican a few weeks back and binged on a giant chimichanga - oddly enough I also felt really rubbish all night and thought it might be my body rejecting the alien junk food, as my system had adapted.

boo1507 · 20/03/2018 07:48

Well done to all losers!

boats16 · 20/03/2018 08:12

Well done to Myguide and Mabel and PinkUnicorn . That's a great start for you. ☺

Does anyone have any insight into how SW works as a maintenance diet? I have lost two stone which I'm very happy about and have about two more to go. I've noticed though that if I go "off plan" I will tend to gain weight at the rate of 1 pound + per day. For example at the weekend I was at a wedding staying in a hotel.I did go off plan and had a cooked breakfast and then some drinks (hic!) and then the wedding reception meal rack of lamb, dauphinois potatoes and veg and then a gooey pudding, cheese and biscuits. The next day was another hotel breakfast and a late lunch pizza and then just fruits et cetera when I got home. I managed to put on 3 pounds! Do you think it is always like this? In other words do you have to continue doing the food optimising FOREVER!!! I confess I find it a bit of putting that I can regain this weight so easily after really working hard to lose it. Does anyone have any experience of how to manage this long-term once you reach your target?

Testarossa1 · 20/03/2018 08:29

Morning. Going to head out for a walk a bit later on, enjoy the sunshine that's finally arrived! Found a recipe for syn free oat biscuits last night (if using as heb otherwise 1/2 a syn each) if they work I'll post the recipe.

B - blueberry wheaties and yoghurt
L - omelette
D - lasagne, home made SW version.

Groovee · 20/03/2018 08:43

@Pipsqueak11 when you reach target they will go through the slight changes you make to remain at target. I look on food optimising as a life style change so if I get target tonight then I will be making the slight changes and not returning to my old ways.

Real life will take over and you will gain at times when you go off plan. But by reigning things back in you would soon have that off again. I gained 5lb on a week away last year but had it off the following week as I was no longer drinking so much alcohol all week long.

Thanks Groovee - it's hard as I tend to lose fairly slowly so will perhaps take 3-4 weeks to lose 3 lb and then 2 days to put it on!!

gethintheway · 20/03/2018 09:23

A maintain for me this week, which isn't so bad as I was a lil bit naughty with some chocolate haha, we received our 2nd box from Spice Pioneer too which had a beautiful Kashmiri pulled lamb, ginger spiced aubergine with chickpeas and fennel butter flatbread

Amym91 · 20/03/2018 10:42

@Testarossa1 that's been the problem with mine. Tried soaking in the skinny syrups on the hope of some flavour.

glitterbutterboo · 20/03/2018 13:46

What's everyone having for breakfast lunch dinner today? Might get some ideas.
Breakfast- scrambled egg, beans and a tangerine
Lunch- kippers with lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber, radish and celery, little pickles and beetroot.
Dinner- beef stew with broccoli, cabbage and mash turnip

Cherrypi · 20/03/2018 14:15

glitterbutterboo · 20/03/2018 14:24

@Cherrypi that all sounds do good. I haven't ever done the overnight oats. Do you use frozen fruit? Will def need to give it a bash

Groovee · 20/03/2018 14:49

@Testarossa1 it didn't work 😢. It was totally tasteless.

B: was a fruit Omelette

FrozenMargarita17 · 20/03/2018 15:26

@Groovee what's your fruit omelette like?

Groovee · 20/03/2018 15:52

Had this this morning... plain omelette with a sprinkling of sweetener then frozen berries. Other days I may put yoghurt on instead of sweetener. Or quark.

Yes I use frozen fruit. I just made chocolate SlimmingWorld cupcakes with the kids and they aren’t great.
