I have porridge topped with fresh fruit for breakfast and take the 41/2 syns .It sets me up for the day .I also have 2 egg omelettes or 2 eggs scrambled. I have 300g Covent Garden soups for dinner ( some varieties ) which can be used as HEB

boats16 · 07/03/2018 20:08

I don't have the eggs as well as the porridge 😮 sometimes eggs . That last post reads so bad !

FrozenMargarita17 · 07/03/2018 20:31

Today I had:

B: muller light with Apple, raspberries and blueberries
L: noodles with Iceland slimming world chicken in black bean sauce (I was starving and baby was napping so I had to be quick, it was horrid! Honestly, I cannot find any of these meals that I actually like)
D: KFC fakeaway - corn flour on the chicken, and dip in egg and then cover with 1 bag crushed chilli Doritos, paprika, garlic granules, onion granules, chilli powder. Slimming world chips. 2 lighter cheese slices for my hexA. Gluten free bun for hexB. Tonnes of veg.

From the pinch of nom recipe it was 2 syns per person so 4syns.

S: bear fruit roll 1.5 syns.

Groovee · 07/03/2018 21:20

I made a thin omelette for breakfast with ham and mushroom and topped with spinach. Then had strawberries, nectarine and plums. I found it quite filling and didn't feel hungry half way through work and made it to 12.45 for my lunch. The other day I had porridge and felt hungry all morning!

I find an omelette takes a short time to cook and easily cleans up before leaving for work.

Was it Lidl Skyr yogurt someone said you can have when doing SP days? Bought some today but it's so thick I'm not sure I like it. I have a lot of texture issues which doesn't help and I'm more used to the runnier yogurts. Wonder if I can thin it down with something which might help though. If not I'll use it in sauces instead.

Groovee · 07/03/2018 21:23

No it's only the Arla Skyr you can have on SP days.

BlooBagoo · 07/03/2018 21:30

Thank you, not on an SP day today thanks to the taster so thought I was best to check now. Undecided as to whether I'll try another one tbh but knowing me I'll buy it then leave it in the fridge and forget it's there anyway. Blush

FrozenMargarita17 · 07/03/2018 21:36

What are SP days?

BlooBagoo · 07/03/2018 21:54

It's a way to boost your weight loss, the book explains it better than I do but you basically stick to anything Speed (S) and Protein (P) and have half a plate of speed instead of a third. But it does mean you don't have free foods such as potatoes, bananas, rice, etc. I've been trying a few days here and there and did have a decent loss this week so hoping it continues to work for me.

BlooBagoo · 07/03/2018 21:55

Oh and you get your normal one HEx A but TWO HEx B choices which I'm really enjoying. Haha

FrozenMargarita17 · 07/03/2018 21:58

Thanks @BlooBagoo I'll consider that at some point. At the moment I struggle sometimes with the normal plan - having a 7m old is difficult!!

FrozenMargarita17 · 07/03/2018 21:59

@BlooBagoo I do like the idea of 2 hexB! Means I could have cereal AND something else!

BlooBagoo · 07/03/2018 22:02

I've been craving toast like crazy so been having the crustless bread as you get 3 slices for the HEx allowance (so yes I may have had 6 slices of toast one day Blush ).

I think it's probably best to get your head around being on the plan with your normal day to day life before trying it, just could get quite confusing and it's taken me over a year to try it, but going on holiday soon so determined to be in a smaller size before then. Smile

FrozenMargarita17 · 07/03/2018 22:04

@BlooBagoo you can do it! 👍🏻

BlooBagoo · 07/03/2018 22:07

Thanks, I hope so! Already started buying smaller clothes as an incentive (plus the sales have been great Smile).

boats16 · 07/03/2018 22:18

where are you going Bluebagoo

BlooBagoo · 07/03/2018 22:24

Just heading around the UK via train. Grin Not sure of exact plans yet but thinking we'll stop off in Edinburgh, York and London at the very least, don't know if we'll head west at all or just head back up the east coast line. DH is planning most of it, so won't be needing a bikini body anyway (still a good while away from that haha) but hoping all the walking and sightseeing will help with some body magic while we're away. Smile

boats16 · 07/03/2018 22:59

Those 3 cities alone are lovely. Im sure you will make that smaller size.Grin

Blondeshavemorefun · 08/03/2018 00:08

I’m liking the sound of 2 b’s

I know I can syn stuffbut almost begrudge synning food I could have rather the treats

Does that make sense

Wait till crawling - eyes in back of head 😂😂

Maybe I will try omelette TOM with ham cheese o ions peppers etc

Hope I lose weight Friday .......

MyGuideJools · 08/03/2018 06:02

groovee I agree about eggs/omelette.They fill me up much longer than anything else.
porridge leaves me hungry 2 hours later.
Quark with fruit/honey is also good and filling. some don't like the texture tho

Flutterby81 · 08/03/2018 07:27

I like a nice omelette for breakfast although at the minute I seem to be liking spinach 🤔 so have been having scrambled egg with spinach(fone in microwave for couple minutes) and some dry fried mushrooms and cherry tomatoes. In fact just about to have that before I head to work, ham salad wrap grapes and satsuma for lunch and chilli for dinner today. Really feel like my heads finally on the right place Smile

Your holiday sounds nice Baloo Smile

boo1507 · 08/03/2018 10:07

What is everyone planning for lunch today?

TheImprobableGirl · 08/03/2018 10:08

I find spinach makes my teeth feel funny!

I feel a bit downhearted because I popped onto the scales and I have put on a quarter of a lb in two days.... Maybe i'm doing it all wrong?

Not really got a plan for the day and feel like the hungry caterpillar...

B- two weetabix with 150ml skimmed milk (half HEA and all HEB)
Snacks - two packets of square crisps.... 10 syns.

So thats free food for me until bedtime!
My consultant says that really we should be using as few syns as possible, but I'm just finding it tricky to get under the 15 per day - I thought I'd been quite good the last couple of days but scales have annoyed me :(

TheImprobableGirl · 08/03/2018 10:09

Im probably going to have a mozzarella salad, with tomatoes, cucumber, peppers, leaves and 35g mozzarella pearls - or might syn a couple if that looks stingy

Testarossa1 · 08/03/2018 10:32

So today's menu looks like this
B - bite sized shredded wheat, (heb) mixed berries and ff yoghurt
L - stuffed jacket potato and salad
D - SW curry and rice

Myself and DP are going to Austria in June, and we want to do some walking, I'm hoping with a bit less fat and upping my fitness too, will mean I won't look a hot sweaty mess when I get to the top of a mountain!!
