One of the Pinch of nom creators lost something like 13lb one week and shared her menu.

Turquoise0wl · 24/08/2017 17:42

I saw a lady did 16 lbs Shock it really is amazing.

FoofFighter · 24/08/2017 17:47

Mayflower curry sauce from Farmfoods, home bargains or B&M

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 24/08/2017 18:07

I'm having Mediterranean pasta bake, cheese melted on top for healthy a

First day back on it has been easier than I thought, hopefully I'll get back in the habit quickly

Notmybag · 24/08/2017 18:10

WOW to those losses

Also worrying about the impact of start of term on the plan. Being a lady of leisure suits me but being back at work is a stress. Has anyone done like a month of meal planning that can be weekly shopped for? Would this work?

Groovee · 24/08/2017 19:44

I do monthly meal planning and a shop weekly. I try to do easy meals on work days and less than 30 minutes to prepare and cook. Then on my days off and weekends ones that take longer.

Groovester · 24/08/2017 19:49

2lbs off for me this morning. Delighted with that. Feel I'm getting my SW mojo back after being off plan all summer. 4 stones 11 gone. Still 7lbs to go until I get back up to my 5 stones 4 loss which is where I was before I started eating all the pies again!

Turquoise0wl · 24/08/2017 19:50

Well done @Groovester Smile

mayathebee · 24/08/2017 21:31

Well done on all the great losses.

I'm starting my first teaching job in Sept and I've worried about the effect on my diet too. I've done a 3 week meal plan that I plan to just keep repeating, I've ordered a lean meat pack via 2 chubby cubs and we get fruit/veg delivered so I'm hoping I can just top the rest up. Ive tried to plan slow cooker meals or something quick for days when I'm at work and I'm planning to batch cook and freeze. Fingers crossed it works but my trigger is picking in the evening when I'm planning/marking so I'm going to have to watch that.

Love51 · 24/08/2017 21:41

I've got the lentil bake posted 2 pages ago baking in the oven for tomorrow. The smell is making me hungry though!

Notmybag · 24/08/2017 22:06

First teaching job- exciting!

The bottom line is that work wrecks my eating habits! Lack of planning, stress (excuses!). This term WILL be diffferent.

mayathebee · 24/08/2017 23:33

Notmybag I'm veering between excited and terrified! I worked in my old industry for 12 years so it's a while since I've felt so out of my depth. Fingers crossed we both have a good term - eating and work-wise.

whoknowswho · 25/08/2017 07:58

Good luck with the teaching May. Some people have huge losses in the first week, I've never had more than 3lb in one week. A friend that I used to go to group with could lose 10lb if she;d been off plan for a while, however she could easily put it on also!!

I find it easier during term time to plan and prepare, I often use the slow cooker during the week, I also try to batch cook and freeze meals at the beginning of term. My "bad" time is also evenings when working at home. I have vowed this year will be different and I will do all my work upstairs and not at the dining room table! I am hoping this tactic will keep me from fridge picking whilst working!

Beans on one slice of wholemeal for me this morning so far! Have a good day everyone!

BasinHaircut · 25/08/2017 08:40

Morning all. Welcome newbies.

In regards to big losses, I lost 7.5lbs in the first week and I've only lost a stone overall since January! I basically lost half of what's taken me nearly 8 months in 1 week. I have no idea how that even works but it happened!

I've not really had a good full week on plan since March though so I could have lost a bit more overall if I'd tried harder.

Day 4 of being back on plan today. I'm actually enjoying eating healthily again and I'm determined to get back to the gym tomorrow. I'm meeting with a personal trainer to discuss staring some proper PT from September. I blame eating crap for being ill for the last 3 weeks.

I'm trying SW pizzas tonight after FINALLY getting hold of some of the WW wraps last week. I bought 2 packs as they seem to be like gold dust round here. Got some leftover pulled pork out of the freezer to go on top with peppers and onions for DH and mushrooms for me, plus some LF mozzarella. I'm also doing carrot chips which I pre-peeled and chopped last night all ready to go when I get home later.

Need to get meal planned and an online shop done today whilst I'm at work hopefully I'll get time.

Wow! If you didn't have such distinctive eyes I don't think I'd realise it was the same person! You look fab.

FoofFighter · 25/08/2017 13:01

Agree!

Groovee · 25/08/2017 13:07

It's amazing how many people do not recognise me x

Groovee · 25/08/2017 13:07

And thanks @QueenofLouisiana

minipsych · 25/08/2017 16:18

Hello may I join you?? I have been on and off SW diet at home for almost a year now but I am rubbish at it!! I can cook the meals for lunch and dinner but I struggle with breakfast - I love toast and cereal and then there is the nighttime snacking and weekend wine! I need help with willpower. DH has promised he will support me this time and not buy goodies so I've just bought Best for the money off coupon and found a local group that I can go to on Tuesday. Feeling determined!

Groovee · 25/08/2017 16:51

Welcome mini.

I was always a cereal and toast girl. Now I have waffles, Omelette, fruit Omelette, porridge, overnight oats, fruit and yoghurt, cooked brekkie when I can be bothered lol.

SkeletonSkins · 25/08/2017 17:42

Wow Groovee what a difference, you must be so pleased to see the difference so clearly!

Been super busy today which I definitely find makes things easier. Loads of speed fruit, alpen bars for me HeA and a 5syn Freddo. Chicken fried rice for tea which I can't wait for!

BasinHaircut · 25/08/2017 17:53

Welcome mini! You can do this!

groovee you have just reminded me that on a FB group someone was recommending overnight oats type thing with grapenuts instead. Apparently they go all sort and like a cheesecake base. I like the sound of that so I'm going to put some on my Tesco order. I can't do overnight oats as the texture makes me gag but cheesecake I can do!Grin

Can't wait to get home and do my SW pizza.

OP posts:
Groovee · 25/08/2017 18:27

I keep meaning to get grapenuts too. They are expensive but someone on Instagram always makes them too

FoofFighter · 25/08/2017 19:01

Basin I think you'd find the texture similar sadly. Why not try chia seed pudding?
