So, lunchtime went a bit unplanned. I ended up eating unplanned in a cafe I really like. Was hoping for a jacket spud, but had a salmon and spinach flan with massive salad, which is like many different salads next to each other. The salad looked syn free except poss the dressing on the pasta. The flan was made of pastry on the outside and definitely had oil in it. How many syns? Rest of the day has been syn free except a but of milk (used my hex in the lentil bake I cooked yesterday and ate for tea. )

BasinHaircut · 25/08/2017 20:57

Oh really foof? That's disappointing.

The SW pizza and carrot chips was awesome!

How is sugar syned?
I have eaten well today but may have 'accidentally' binged on a couple of teaspoons of sugar while baking for a friend - disgusting and I don't know what came over me. I am trying to limit the damage by going to bed early and not allow a full binge to takeover.

I am also massively constipated in spite of seriously upping my fruit and veg I take since the start of the SW journey at the beginning of August.

Groovee · 25/08/2017 21:10

@Notmybag 1level tablespoon is 3 syns and a teaspoon is 1 syn.

Notmybag · 25/08/2017 21:11

Ok, so less bad than I imagined. The bath is running so I don't use the sugar binge as an excuse to fall completely off the plan.

Love51 · 25/08/2017 21:12

not my bag are you drinking loads? That might help. Also older family members tell me cutting out bread messes with your bowels, (I'm eating very little bread and been told it's not good for me - I'm unconvinced!)

Notmybag · 25/08/2017 21:13

Yes I've cut out bread - I've gone from toast for breakfast and sandwich for lunch to no bread. Already have laxido prescribed for a medication side effect. It this is new levels of constipation!

Groovee · 25/08/2017 21:46

Not I'm on daily laxido too. I find all bran helps.

lauryloo · 25/08/2017 22:24

Fell off the wagon tonight with 2 Nutella b ready bars and a packet of mini party rings.

Need to get back on track in the morning :)

Trills · 25/08/2017 23:03

How do you use a pack of those wraps if one is your HEXB?

I won't want one every single day. Do they freeze?

Trills · 25/08/2017 23:07

Eggs bind you, oranges release you. Or so I have heard.

FoofFighter · 26/08/2017 01:30

You can freeze yes

strawberrykiss36 · 26/08/2017 09:31

Keep forgetting about this thread! Had a bit of a stressful week and it's my star week too so happy with my 2.5lb loss yesterday. Well done everyone else on losses!

3.5lb loss next week would make 1 stone in 3 weeks. It'd be hard but I'd love to get there! Been looking through the new magazine and website got lots of soup and casserole recipes to make, so excited for Autumn cooking!

QueenofLouisiana · 26/08/2017 11:17

Has anyone tried the non-alcoholic gin and tonic cans from co-op (I think)? If so, do they taste nice. I'm going to a party tonight and would normally have a G&T while my hair is setting, but don't want to use the syns.

Trills · 26/08/2017 11:19

Have not tried that, but have drunk slimline tonic with lots of lime and (if possible) a dash of bitters.

Trills · 26/08/2017 11:36

First try of overnight oats today.
40g plain oats (HExB)
1 lemon fat-free yoghurt
handful of frozen raspberries
mix, leave in bowl in fridge overnight
(just writing it all out as we did have some new joiners)

It tastes like a pudding. It's pretty nice, and if you like having a sweet breakfast.

I'm actually finding it a bit too sweet, might try half flavoured yoghurt and half plain yoghurt next time.

This could be a pudding. It reminds me a bit of cranachan. But without the whiskey.

lauryloo · 26/08/2017 13:20

I like the sound of those overnight oats with lemon yogurt. I made them before with strawberry and I wasn't impressed

SkeletonSkins · 26/08/2017 17:37

Need to give overnight oats a go!

Another busy day so I've been good ha. Had a pear for breakfast and one alpen light bar, pineapple, melon, watermelon and grapes for lunch with a pack of quavers (4.5 syns) and second Alpen light bar as my HeB. Freddo as a naughty snack (5syns) and now absolutely ravenous. Think I'll have pasta for tea, just waiting for OH to come home.

Had a check on the scales this morning and things look to be going in the right direction which I'm so happy about as with PCOS id honestly got to the point of feeling it was impossible for me to lose weight but slowly and surely I am!

Also had a non-scales victory as went trying on bridesmaid dresses with my sister in some posh posh places and the 12 fitted!! And they didn't exactly run big so I'm really pleased!!

minipsych · 26/08/2017 18:00

Thanks groovee I'd forgotten about omelette I made one with mushroom and spinach this morning and remembered how much I like them!!! Going to treat the fam to a SW fried breakfast tomorrow!

Groovee · 26/08/2017 18:04

I finally located an Iceland with vienettas. I apologise to the lady who's basket I tapped to find out where she found them 😳

lauryloo · 26/08/2017 18:28

Oooh how many syns for the vienetta, I couldn't see it on the app

Groovee · 26/08/2017 19:09

3 syns x

emwithme · 26/08/2017 20:51

STS this Thursday which I was a bit disappointed about, but then AF arrived yesterday, first one since MC, so that explains that. I am trying very hard not to dive head-first into a bucket of gin or mountain of chocolate.

In good news though, I was offered two (!) new jobs this week, and start the chosen one a week on Monday. Am nervously excited.

Groovee · 26/08/2017 21:01

Great news on the job Em.

Trills · 26/08/2017 21:35

Congrats on the job!
