Hello!

OP posts:

Well done Foof and thanks for the lentil recipe. It looks like it would be good to have sliced with a salad for a lunch box.

Still at the caravan so have WI locally today and have lost 2 1/2 lb. Going to have to be really on plan because my next WI will be on Monday at home.

Groovee · 23/08/2017 17:14

Well done Late x

SkeletonSkins · 23/08/2017 18:39

Oh wow fab losses, well done all!

Pleased with myself today - grabbed food for an imromptu picnic and nearly gave in to the temptation of fresh sandwiches, cakes, crisps etc but I went for SW friendly lunch! Got a big fruit salad, an apple, some quavers (5.5 syns) and a Freddo (5 syns) so nicely within syns!

SW spag Bol for tea with a little bit of cheese for my HeA and then going to try mixing Nutella with some quark and have with strawberries for afters.

Been shopping and got some SW essentials too so that's good!

PositiveAttitude · 23/08/2017 19:24

Bloo I also had a WI dream the other night. Mine was: I went to the pay desk and then went straight to a desk in the corner and scoffed a massive meal and drunk a jug of drink. I was then told to go and weigh and I had forgotten that I should have been weighed before eating and drinking. I woke up in a right stress and panic!!
Funny how my brain works! Grin

Groovester · 23/08/2017 20:06

Super losses. Well done!! Weigh in for me in the morning.

Turquoise0wl · 23/08/2017 20:20

Well done on the losses and good luck @Groovester Smile

BasinHaircut · 23/08/2017 20:54

Day 2 of being back on plan here. I'm in week 3 of being ill now and struggling to get into it but I'm trying! Just want ice cream but fortunately we don't have any!

Well done everyone today, some good results!

OP posts:
Boatsnack · 23/08/2017 21:05

Hope you feel better soon basin if you still fancy ice cream tomorrow the Asda really creamy light vanilla ice cream is surprisingly nice and only 3.5syns per 100ml.

BlooBagoo · 23/08/2017 23:21

Well done everyone on the losses. 1lb off for me this week so fingers crossed I don't blow it this week.

Positive - at least I'm not the only one having crazy WI dreams. Grin

OwlinaTree · 24/08/2017 07:48

Hi all, some good losses going on, well done team!

I'm on holiday, have been off plan since Saturday basically. Enjoying some nice meals and beers but feeling dead bloated as not used to all the bread and not eating hexb.

Going to try to stick to it a bit from now on as I'm feeling a bit bleugh now! Not bothered about a gain as long as it's not too big, but hate feeling bloated. Seems like I really can't eat much bread now! Sad

whoknowswho · 24/08/2017 08:14

Starting today for the umpteenth time but I do feel determined! Will join a group after the school holidays but hoping to lose 6lb before I join. Bacon, egg, mushroom and tomatoes for breakfast followed by melon and strawberries. I am hoping that lot will keep me from fridge picking during the morning. Wish me luck! Note to self- remember to drink lots of water!

BasinHaircut · 24/08/2017 09:07

Cheers boat but what I really meant was that I wanted Ben and jerrys cookie dough Grin

OP posts:
Boatsnack · 24/08/2017 09:36

😁 basin One of the reasons I had a gain this week was the half a tub of Ben and Jerry's peanut butter cup ice cream I just couldn't resist. The cookie dough is 11.5 syns per 100ml that's not bad if you have the willpower to stop. I don't

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 24/08/2017 11:23

Hi all,
I haven't been on the thread for ages, last time I posted I said i was losing motivation about 3-4 weeks ago. I've put on 5lb since then.
Last night I was thinking about quitting sw because my head just isn't in it at the moment but then I'll just put it ALL back on and more and be even madder at myself.

I made myself go to group this morning, I'm going to try and approach this week as week one, back to basics.

QueenofLouisiana · 24/08/2017 11:42

Can I join you? Fairly large amount to loose, so I'm afraid a may need all the help I can get.

The figure look pretty terrifying but I'm working on the basis that I didn't eat chocolate to recover from the horror, so that's good, right?

I've done my next Ocado order while flirting between the syns counter, the store cupboard basics and the SW magazine. It looks a really odd collection.

QueenofLouisiana · 24/08/2017 11:43

Flitting between... it might have been more interesting if flirting had been involved!

Groovee · 24/08/2017 13:00

Welcome Flitting. Welcome back Minnie.

I'm just chilling today. Made 20g of porridge oats for breakfast with lots of fruit and a yoghurt. Used water to simmer it with.

Made brown rice with mixed veggies and half a syn of curry sauce. Was very filling.

Baked potatoes for tea.

It's turned into a lifestyle after 8 months. I'm still planning, but also determined to get this 1lb off for my 3 and a half stone award next week.

RhinoGirl · 24/08/2017 14:09

Hi all, can I jump on?

I need some motivation and kick up the bum, ever since my wedding anniversary (in July!) i have been messing around! I need a good loss this week!

Having the Slimming World Chimichurri burgers and salad for tea tonight, been wanting to try them for ages!

What are you all having? Inspire me for tomorrow :)

FoofFighter · 24/08/2017 14:42

today we are having asda's turkey salt and pepper burgers at half a syn each, with some HExa primula light pasta (strange choice I know!) and salad for me, carrots for lo.

tomorrow myself and a friend who goes to group too are having ourselves a fakeaway chinese with mayflower curry sauce before we head out to a birthday party to hopefully limit damage a little at least!

RhinoGirl · 24/08/2017 14:44

Where do you buy the Mayflower curry sauce?

whoknowswho · 24/08/2017 15:10

I got the mayflower curry powder from Home Bargains. Lunch was WW wrap pizza and salad and dinner is chicken, mash and lots of veg and I'm going to try the free gravy.

SkeletonSkins · 24/08/2017 16:07

Welcome all!

Well the verdict is in and I've maintained this week which is a bloody miracle. I ate so so badly at the weekend (pizza, pancakes, cheesecake, crisps, chocolate bars, alcohol, fizzy drinks and my fave, macaroni cheese and garlic bread!) so to have maintained I feel I must have actually lost a couple of lbs this week that I put on at the weekend!! So I'm very pleased.

Off plan tea tonight as going bridesmaid dress shopping but then back on plan for this next week from tomorrow!

Notmybag · 24/08/2017 16:20

Some brilliant stories and pictures of the losses on 'pinchofnom' FB page for anyone needing motivation. Some incredible losses but how on earth can one drop 8.5lbs in a week! ?!
My losses are small and steady

Turquoise0wl · 24/08/2017 16:25

@Notmybag - might be first week? Could also be bigger than you? I did 10.5 lbs in my 1st week, but I was 20 st.

QueenofLouisiana · 24/08/2017 17:13

Dinner tonight:
Tuna steak with quinoa dressed with onions glazed in red wine vinegar, salad.
I wish I could say I'll cook like this every night, but once the new term starts I think I'll be batch cooking every Sunday so I can pull something out of the freezer. I'm going to invest in some lightweight, reusable tubs for freezing stuff.
