Hello!

OP posts:
BlooBagoo · 05/10/2017 02:48

Well after my huge gain two weeks ago I lost half last week and 1lb this week. Wasn't expecting it tbh as I had a big weekend out. Knowing my luck I'll gain for next week when I don't have any plans out and avoid takeaways etc.

Lubilu28 · 05/10/2017 12:39

Weigh in tomorrow morning and I'm just not feeling very optimistic about it!! I havnt been that bad, a few drinks on Saturday night that's it!! But I think it's because I'm not weighing myself at home I can't keep track, hoping for a big surprise lol

I have my first ever taster at group next Friday and I was gonna make Jaffa cakes and raffa cakes (see pinch of nom) I was just wondering how many to make?? I was gonna make 24 as it's a big group do u think that will be enough xxx

UnwiseOldElf · 05/10/2017 13:08

Must have a look at pinch of nom - that recipe sounds yum! 24 sounds like a good number to do, lubilu. I've not been to a taster yet - just the way it's worked out with the groups I've been able to go to.

Funny that you say you can't see the difference, trills, as I came on here today to say I've done photos the whole way through so far (never done this on previous weight loss attempts and regretted it) and am miffed that I can't see a difference yet, either! In my case I think it's because I've a long way to go, so although I've lost nearly 1.5 stone it's not a visible difference yet. I think it's also not as easy to see the difference in yourself as someone else could, if that makes sense. Nice of your leader though and I bet there is a difference!! :)

ALemonyPea · 05/10/2017 13:08

Mmmmmm just had broccoli soup with my hea of danish blue crumbled in to it. Delicious and filling.

CatP22 · 05/10/2017 13:17

Weigh in this afternoon. I need 1lb to get my 3.5stone award, but losses have been so small lately & I’m really not sure I’ll get it 😞 With my luck it will be -1/2! I’ve done 3 SP days this week but just don’t know...

UnwiseOldElf · 05/10/2017 13:49

Good luck, CatP22! and danish blue in broccoli soup sounds fab ALemonyPea. Must do that next week!

Groovee · 05/10/2017 15:59

Good luck Cat

Trills I didn’t notice much difference until about 2 stone in. I can see it now. Hit 4.5st loss since June 2016 this week

CatP22 · 05/10/2017 16:52

Wow, you’re looking amazing groovee! Well done you!

CatP22 · 05/10/2017 17:19

1 off for me this week so got my 3.5 stone! Thought it would be more than that after the SP days but still happy 😃

Groovee · 05/10/2017 18:23

Whoop whoop Cat x

Trills · 05/10/2017 19:21

Thanks for the reassurance. I think that I hadn't actually gotten used to myself at my heaviest weight, so that first stone off has got me to where I already thought I was in my head.

ALemonyPea · 05/10/2017 19:56

You look fab Groovee. Love your dress in the last photo.

Well done Cat.

Trills, how much in total do you have to lose? I couldn’t notice anything different until 3 or so stone, but I did have a whole Victoria Beckham to lose.

Groovee · 05/10/2017 20:00

@ALemonyPea £6 in Matalan last week! I tried the medium on and I would have fitted DH in it with me. The one in the photo is a small.

Groovee · 05/10/2017 20:00

I tried figs tonight for the first time. They were ok! Hoping they may help my bowel.

Groovee · 05/10/2017 20:01

@Trills I still sometimes do a double take in the mirror as I feel the same and look in the mirror and see a slim face looking back x

Trills · 05/10/2017 20:33

If I make it all the way to target without thinking "fuck it, that'll do" it'll be 3 and a half.

Love the idea of you passing a mirror and thinking "who's that?!" :o

BABYLOVE02 · 05/10/2017 21:37

Hi, I would love to join you.

Thanks

Trills · 06/10/2017 07:52

Welcome!

UnwiseOldElf · 06/10/2017 08:39

@groovee you look fabulous - seeing your progress picture is hugely motivating. Brilliant stuff.

Welcome, @BABYLOVE02 !

Hopefully a good day on plan for me today although I've got two quite stressful meetings today and I can feel my anxiety levels are high already in anticipation. Usually (ie when not trying to lose weight) this would mean several trips to the biscuit barrel/bits of chocolate/chunks of cheese. Relying on GP anti-anxiety meds today and trying to power through... ugh. Still it's Friday!!

Lubilu28 · 06/10/2017 11:18

1lb off this week!! Little bit disappointed but at the end of the day a loss is a loss! Gonna be extra good this week to try and get 2lb off next week. I won't let this discourage me like it used to do!! I'm getting closer and that's all that matters x

Groovee · 06/10/2017 12:57

Welcome @BABYLOVE02

Thanks @UnwiseOldElf I find the picture help me to see how far I have come.

I’m much better but so tired. I still do not have an appetite.

Flutterby81 · 06/10/2017 12:57

Well done on the losses everyone.
I had a major pig out last night don't know what was wrong unjust felt ravenous all evening and ate way too much of everything Blush back on track today for damage limitation ready for Monday wi

ALemonyPea · 06/10/2017 19:38

Welcome Babylove.

I am very parpy tonight. Too much broccoli soup.

IvorHughJarrs · 06/10/2017 22:43

I went away to Portugal for a week with friends, great week of food and wine then had a week off here, days out, etc and between the two put on 5 1/2 lb. Stuck to plan rigidly for a week and lost just 1/2lb much to my disgust but kept on for another week and lost 6lb Shock and got my 2 stone award
Obviously having done that well I fell into the black hole Grin

More difficult this week as have a couple of social things, have to take DD to a sports thing tomorrow which means an early start and being out all day plus DH's birthday which will involve cake!

ALemonyPea · 07/10/2017 13:36

Grin Ivor. Sometimes you’ve just got to roll with the times and enjoy life. As long as you get back on it and don’t give up, that’s the main thing.
