I'm back on track after half heartedly following the plan for the last few months. Have put on 1 and a half stone in a year after losing 5 and a half stone previously.

Last week I stuck to the same breakfast and lunch all week and then a sensible SW meal in the evening. No snacks other than an occasional hot chocolate in the evening. Weighed this morning and had a 5.5lb loss! Have treated myself today to porridge with a bit of Nutella in and had one of the Jamie Oliver flatbreads with chicken saag for dinner.

I'm not able to go to class so hoping to get some support and tips from here to keep me motivated to lose another 1 stone and 5 pounds.

To clarify I am taking the meds’ the dr suggested. But as I can barely swallow I was looking for things to help. I found frozen fruit really helped. In the past I would have had ice cream but I wasted a lot of syns on it yesterday for it not to work. The fruit moistened my mouth and throat really helping it and helping with me struggling to swallow water or liquids as it’s been so painful.

AT NO POINT HAVE I NOT TAKEN MEDS. Some medications i cannot take due to my other health conditions. But what my GP suggested today has worked.

I think I attempted to crack a joke which was taken the wrong way!

caremummy sorry I didn't spot your message last night when I posted - I didn't realise you'd had a rubbish day. Hope you're feeling a bit better today - you can definitely limit the damage done by being careful the rest of the week.

Morning everyone. We escaped to the caravan on Friday and had poor WiFi so am just catching up.
I had a black hole moment last night. I weighed at an evening group and lost 2 lbs so that's last week's gain sorted. Came home and had no inspiration meal wise so ate a pizza that's been in the freezer for months. I still feel full this morning! Anyway, it's gone and I won't buy another one.
I've managed a week without chocolate so I'm going to continue throughout October.

creeps back in

Hi all, I’ve been AWOL. Have gained about 3lbs but nothing a week or so back on it wouldn’t fix I reckon. I’ve given up going to group with a view to going back after my holiday in November if I feel I need to.

I’m going to the doctors next week to ask for a test for coeliacs. I have lots of non-specific mild-ish issues that I have ignored for years and I have started to notice they are at their worst when I eat a lot of bread/wheat. I want to try cutting it out to see if it helps but will try to get the test first as apparently if you haven’t been eating wheat it isn’t accurate.

I may or may not have been tested for it previously as I had some problems years ago so I want to check before I take any action myself.

I'm back!!

I have rejoined, weighed my healthy extras and measured my milk.

B.....cheerios, fruit and yoghurt
Turkey rashers, egg, mushrooms and tomatoes
Banana

L.....huge tuna and sweetcorn salad with rocket and tomatoes
1 tbsp light salad cream- 1.5 syns

4.5lb on for me Blushbut I’m only half a lb out of range. Haven’t been weighed since August, and I’ve had a few bad weeks, so all in all not too bad.

Anyone else’s class having a Christmas taster day next week? Bloody crazy! Not sure what I’m making. Was thinking of trying to make some mini calzones with the WW wraps and working out the syns for them. Would get three small ones per wrap I think.

Still unable to swallow. Went to the early class and lost 2.5lb. I want a big cake! But I can’t swallow so will make do with cold water and yoghurt and the frozen fruit.

It was delicious. I stuck the skins back in the oven to crispen them up.

I also felt the soup was better with out the cottage cheese.

Yay. 1.5lb off for me tonight. Back to my 5stone lost. I am chuffed because from the day of my mums funeral I had a week of eating so much cake and everything bad. i avoided weigh in last week. Blush After a week I decided enough was enough and have had a week of being back on plan. I wanted to get back to the 5 stone mark before I fly out for my holiday tomorrow. Grin No way am I eating anywhere near plan on holiday, but i know that I will be able to get straight back to it when I get home and lose whatever I have gained.

Off for a week alone in the Algarve. I am so in need of a week of de-stressing. I was booked with Monarch, so had a traumatic morning yesterday desperately trying to re-book flights. The one i got was 3 times the price of my original flight and I don't get to my apartment until 11pm tomorrow night and when I fly back I arrive in Gatwick at 12.40am!! First train home is 05.30, getting me home about 9. I am not looking forward to that, but at least I am still going!!!

How did you get on, One? I found the last half stone before my target was the hardest to get off.

Took my SIL for a hospital appointment this morning. We got there early (stupid bloody disabled parking and the lack of) so went to Costa for a drink. Was all set to have a —boring— fruit salad, when I saw an apple and blackberry crumble tart which was a surprising 267 calories (13.5 syns) so had that instead. Was bloody lovely!

STS this week. Was hoping that two SP days would make up for a night of drinking but apparently not. Our leader said she could see the difference from when I started (just over a stone ago) which was nice as I can't really see it.
