Someone I sit next to has recently lowered her target by 5lbs (she told me) so I think it's okay, could just be my group though xx

ALemonyPea · 01/10/2017 20:36

I like wrapping a gherkin up in some ham as a snack, or if you’re oop north, pease pudding wrapped in ham is lovely.

Always handy to have boiled eggs in the fridge as well.

Trills · 01/10/2017 20:38

I have a feeling that if you re-set a target it has to be at least half a stone from where you are now?

But that might not be correct.

Greenteandchives · 01/10/2017 20:55

The trouble is I have gone under my target, by more than the 3lb allowed before having to pay, but I don't want to lose another half stone. I honestly didn't think before I set my target as I didn't think SW would work. Grin

Trills · 01/10/2017 21:01

Have a chat with your consultant - they'll help you figure something out.

Totally know what you mean about not really thinking it would work.

I knew in my head what my target would be before I did my first weigh-in, and I turned out to be over a stone heavier than I had guessed, so it'll be a while before I have to think about that!

ALemonyPea · 01/10/2017 21:49

Yes it does have to be 7lb or more if you’re setting a new target. I want to lose a further 7.5lb from my current target, going to wait until I’m out of my range though before I declare a new one, so I don’t need to pay until the last minute, and to see if it’s too much of a chore losing more weight.

ALemonyPea · 01/10/2017 21:50

And I changed my target several times before I hit it, and am currently happy at what it is, so not too bothered if I get the lower amount, but it would be nice, just for fitting better into clothes.

Greenteandchives · 01/10/2017 21:54

Ok thanks. I'll speak to my consultant and see what she says. I think a further half stone would be too much for me to sustain. It is really hard to maintain at target and not keep losing. Although I realise I shouldn't complain.

ALemonyPea · 01/10/2017 22:01

You’ve got to find a happy medium with food to maintain. I’ve only been at target since June, and was doing fine until a few weeks ago when stress and health issues got the better of me and I’ve put a little bit on. Will be back in range by next week hopefully.

OwlinaTree · 01/10/2017 22:33

Yes I'm struggling to decide when to stop. I want to lose another 5.5 lb so then I'll be 3lb under my weight I want. I think then I'll be able to maintain ok. I would love to lose another 7lb as well, but I'm sure it would be too difficult to maintain. I'm trying to keep in a good positive place with the eating and not get too stressed about it but it's hard to just stop and work on being happy with what you've got sometimes!

Trills · 02/10/2017 08:34

What a nice problem to have :)

(I don't mean that in a nasty way, but I realise it could look like that without any tone of voice)

Groovee · 02/10/2017 08:51

I’m still ill. 198 attempts to get through to the dr. My appointment is this afternoon.

But I’ve discovered frozen fruit is helping my throat. And it’s syn free 😂

Trills · 02/10/2017 08:53

I don't think you need to worry about the syns in cough medicine - concentrate on getting better!

Groovee · 02/10/2017 11:43

It’s not a cough. It’s my throat. Ice cream was ok. Yoghurt which I was freezing wasn’t working. DH gave me some frozen fruit and it’s really helped.

McSleepy · 02/10/2017 12:04

Thanks Alemony ham and gherkins sound right up my street. So far today I have snacked on fruit, eggs and just made the humous which is amazing. Just about to have a big bowl of free soup and have so far resisted picking at my children's lunches...

Trills · 02/10/2017 12:24

I didn't mean just literally cough syrup, just any medicine or anything that you need to help you get well - don't worry about the syns if it's for your health :)

Groovee · 02/10/2017 14:24

I never count meds’ anyway as I’m on most for my fibro anyway. It’s more ice cream and ice lollies I would normally eat.
Anyway it’s viral. I’ve to stay in bed and rest. Lots of fluids and paracetamol.

Managed some porridge this morning and made some scrambled egg at lunch. Not sure I fancy paprika pork but I’ll see how I go. May just do some potatoes with it and lots of veggies.

FaithAgain · 02/10/2017 17:11

Groovee I find my results can go a bit haywire when I'm ill. Frozen banana is amazing! Do what you need to get better, yes cough syrups and sweets and syrups have lots of sugar but if they help, they help.

I am away on holiday (although with wifi!). It'll be a combo of rubbish eating and lots of exercise. Hoping to do okayish and then get back on it once we get home on Friday.

Flutterby81 · 02/10/2017 18:30

Hope your feeling better soon groovee Flowers

3lb loss for me this morning very happy with that Smile

OwlinaTree · 02/10/2017 19:36

Well done flutter!

Groovee · 02/10/2017 20:22

Well done Flutter x

Trills · 02/10/2017 20:30

3lb! Very good!

ALemonyPea · 02/10/2017 21:16

Well done Flutter.

My consultant says to just take the medicine if you need it. No point in punishing yourself for a diet.

caremummy · 02/10/2017 21:34

It was going so well :(
binge ate about 50 syns
Reset and restart tomorrow
Just not going to have it in the flat (these were already in)

UnwiseOldElf · 02/10/2017 21:34

Loving the snack suggestions. I could do with more ideas... good loss again this week, bringing me to 1st 6lb total, so fingers crossed I should get my next sticker next week Grin.

I know what everyone means about not believing it would work at the beginning. I nearly threw in the towel with my mystery gain early on - am so glad I didn't. Just hope this way of eating is starting to become my new normal. I've a lonnnnggggg way to go Blush.

Great loss, flutter!
