Hi! I'd keep soup in the fridge for 3 days or so, if I wanted it later than that I'd freeze it.

onestepforwardtenstepsback · 23/09/2017 16:23

Hi thanks so much that's helpful. Just got to remember to take it out of the freezer to defrost in time to eat now Grin

Trills · 23/09/2017 16:23

I microwave from frozen sometimes.

Trills · 23/09/2017 16:29

You've reminded me that the pot of soup I made on Wednesday is at its deadline - I'm going to freeze one portion now and keep the remaining half-portion for this evening (I'm going out to see a film with a friend and think I might want a snack when I get home).

onestepforwardtenstepsback · 23/09/2017 17:31

Oh nice to have a snack ready.
I really wanted comfort food tonight so tonight's tea was syn free sausage, fried eggs in fry light and carrot chips.

That looks yummy! Iv never thought to make carrot chips only ever tried butternut squash ones mightbhavevto to give them a try do you microwave them first or anything or just bake?

onestepforwardtenstepsback · 23/09/2017 21:08

I part boiled them and them baked them same as you would chips. They were nicer than I though they would be and a good way to get speed in

ALemonyPea · 23/09/2017 21:34

Tesco sell butternut squash fusilli which I often cook as chips. Nearly as good as the real thing, and great for an SP day.

Groovee · 24/09/2017 10:09

Hi everyone. Had a wedding on Friday. It was good fun. But I'm still tired lol. I felt amazing in my dress. It was slightly looser than when I bought it too 🙈.

How is everyone?

Sorry about how things are for you PA.

Fab outfit!

Groovee · 24/09/2017 10:42

Thanks Trills x

PA, good to hear from you, but sorry to read you are having tough times. Take care of yourself.

We haven't heard from Turquoise Owl since the start of the academic year. Hopefully just busy with studying.

Lovely dress, Groovee, bet you turned some heads!

I keep soup for up to 4 days in the fridge but they are always vegetarian. If I was adding meat, then 3 days sounds about right. I tend to go by the smell as my guide, much to my lads' despair!

Those carrot chips look great. I'll be trying those this week.
I've asked my consultant if she'd talk about boosting speed food content of breakfasts at our group and she's agreed. I had mushrooms on toast today.

DS2 seems to have settled in at uni and DH &I have been invited for dinner to DS1's and his GF this evening. The times they are a-changing. 😊

latedecember1963 · 24/09/2017 14:47

The face was meant to just be smiling, not blushing!

Groovee · 24/09/2017 16:26

Thanks Late.

Enjoy dinner. Was thinking about Turquoise earlier as well.

ALemonyPea · 24/09/2017 21:31

Looking good Groovee.

PA, I thought I’d replied to your post yesterday. Blaming my iPad update. It’s made everything strange. Glad to hear you’re still plodding along, be kinder to yourself, nobody will judge you, and if they do, they’re not worth having in your life.

Groovee · 24/09/2017 21:37

Thanks Lemony x

OwlinaTree · 24/09/2017 22:49

Groovee, you look great, the dress is lovely. PA thinking of you.

Have had a lovely day with dh and the kids, been to a lovely park for a walk and lunch in the cafe. Last but one episode of westworld watched tonight, exciting times!

Seem to be doing well and sticking to plan at the moment, hoping for at least 1.5lb of this week to bring me to lowest ever since starting! That week I had a bit of a dicky tummy so I think it was a false loss, then I went on holiday Blush so it's taken a few weeks to get back there.

caremummy · 24/09/2017 22:57

Sorry to ask. But, is basmati and wild rice free? It's the Sainsbury's dried one which takes an age to cook. I've done a lunch pot with that lentils and tomato and it just dawned on me. Ta x

Groovee · 24/09/2017 23:09

Thanks Owlina

Care, yes it is x

FaithAgain · 24/09/2017 23:16

Hi all, I was at target for a couple of months but I've been ill - mysterious abdo pain, not clear what's causing it - I've fallen off the wagon and am 6lb over target. I'm back at group now and hope getting back on this thread will help too! I'll read back a bit.

Babipotjam · 25/09/2017 06:49

Hi everyone may I join?

Am in week one of SW. I know I have lost I can feel it.

Can I ask I have a meeting after work which means I won't be home until gone 9. Tonight I have to eat out.

I have options for tea.
Morrisons, McDonalds, KFC or Wetherspoons?

What can I eat?

onestepforwardtenstepsback · 25/09/2017 06:57

Macdonalds grilled chicken and bacon salad without dressing is 1.5 syns and they do Coke Zero, water or tea/coffee.
Morrisons may have jacket potato and beans but not eaten there for a long time so not sure Smile

Flutterby81 · 25/09/2017 06:58

Ah well had a rubbish week and didn't stick to plan so no loss for me today! Back on it this week Smile

Babipotjam what about a salad and some pre poked chicken from Morisons?

Flutterby81 · 25/09/2017 06:58

Cooked not poked sorry autocorrect Grin

OwlinaTree · 25/09/2017 06:59

You can get jacket spud in morros, plus they do a salmon and green veg dish that is nice.
