Well done Turquoise.

m0therofdragons · 15/09/2017 13:21

Oh my goodness @Groovee that overnight porridge was so good! Feeling fairly optimistic although am going to a pub tonight. Assuming best bet is vodka Diet Coke but will check syns before going. I know it'll get easier once I've got clear the syns in my usual treats but head is spinning at the moment.

lauryloo · 15/09/2017 14:07

i'd love a big bottle of wine tonight but i know i need to be good and back on track so i think i'll have a gin instead!

Just had steak for lunch (had defrosted too much and it needed eaten) and was strong and left the fat.

I've started using the sw website to log the food i'm eating and find it much easier to keep me on track!

Groovee · 15/09/2017 14:13

Glad you liked it @m0therofdragons. Good luck tonight with the syns.

Well done Laury on the steak x

Tweetypie30 · 15/09/2017 16:46

Thanks for the soup recipe Groove.

Glad I'm not the only one Laury.

I'm was 100% back on plan yesterday, so far so good today but I can feel my resolve slipping...

Right, off to make a healthy and filling dinner.

OwlinaTree · 15/09/2017 20:08

I'm having a healthy and filling Chinese! Been ages(2 weeks) since I went off plan, so as nothing is planned for this weekend thought we would treat ourselves. Duck sung, sweet and sour chicken, chips and prawn crackers is in the way, yum yum!

Groovee · 15/09/2017 21:07

Just had an NSV at the cinema.

Toilet has a ceiling to floor mirror! I was walking towards it when I realised that was me and I am so skinny compared to what I was! 😱

Took popcorn and a hifi bar. Bought Sprite Zero.

Still Shock at what I saw

OwlinaTree · 15/09/2017 21:27

That's a great NSV groovee!

BlooBagoo · 16/09/2017 02:15

Met a friend I haven't seen for ages and she told me how amazing I looked and how much weight I must have lost. Feels like nothing at times when others have lost more in a shorter time so it feels great when I get told that. :) How do I stop myself say "oh it's only 1.5 stone so far" and belittling it all though? Blush

lauryloo · 16/09/2017 11:14

We are having a birthday party tomorrow for my 4 year old. I'm going to have to try really hard to resist the cocktail sausages and party food!

Ended up having wine last night too - whoops!

buttwingsham · 16/09/2017 12:35

Groovee that's a fantastic NSV!!

Bloo it's hard isn't it? I feel really awkward if people comment I know they mean well but I feel really uncomfortable and usually mumble something about a lot more to go and blush!

I sploshed into a few glasses of prosecco last night accompanied by a few bag of tortilla chips. Back on it today though!

latedecember1963 · 16/09/2017 17:51

Hope everyone's having a good weekend. Had a catch up read of the last few days and you've inspired me to start making soups again.
My car is sorted so I'll be taking DS2 to uni tomorrow. I'll have no excuse for having Kit Kats in the house until December!

OwlinaTree · 17/09/2017 07:11

Think I just about stayed in syns yesterday. Dh made a lasagne with a proper white sauce, but I synned it the best I could and I reckon it was 24 syns. I had a quarter of the lasagne so that's OK.

So tired after weeks of getting up with the baby so early. Really struggling to resist eating biscuits. Having fruit instead but it doesn't hit the spot in the same way!

m0therofdragons · 17/09/2017 10:07

Okay, please bear with me, it's my first week and the rest of you will already know this but I've had a lightbulb moment. The last year I've tried "to be good" which in my head was skipping a meal then being starving in the evening and stuffing my face then feeling guilty the next day. I joined on Thursday and have been confused by how much I can eat on sw. I've stuck to it and resisted the urge to cut quantities and calorie count everything. Last night I had an overnight porridge to eat as o know I'm an evening snacker but was so full from dinner I just had some strawberries. This morning I'm still full. I don't actually recognise this feeling of feeling full (nice rather than bloated). I got on the scales today as I was scared I've put on half a stone but no 3lbs off since Thursday. Obviously I've not even done a week yet but actually feeling like I can do this! 3 weeks until the wedding (not mine but it'll be like a high school reunion with the bitchy group of the year) and I feel I may be under 11st by then!

You can all give me a virtual slap in a week when I'm less positive 😂

Groovee · 17/09/2017 10:10

The feeling full is a good thing. Glad you are finding it going well. X

buttwingsham · 17/09/2017 10:52

Mother it's good isn't it?!Grin

I would say aim to have three meals a day, if you not so hungry in the morning have fruit and yogurt if you're starving have a full English. Be guided by your appetite but I always try and have something otherwise if I skip breakfast I will suddenly be starving by eleven and thats when I enter the danger zone!!! You may have more will power than me though not hard!

I had a peek this morning and despite a few glasses of prosecco, crisps and a slice of white bread with chippy chips in (had to be done!) the numbers are going the right way.

Three days 100% on plan now til weigh in.

I am slimmer hear me roar!!!!!!!

Groovee · 17/09/2017 11:50

13 weeks to my 40th! Just booked to go to Manchester and see the musical Elf. So excited.

I am going to gain so much in December 😳

OwlinaTree · 17/09/2017 15:49

Oh I love elf! Wonder if we can get to that this Xmas? Are you going to London for it?

Groovee · 17/09/2017 17:00

No it's in Manchester the week before Christmas. It's in Glasgow the end of November but I'm on Brownie holiday.

winefixesall · 17/09/2017 19:16

Hi. I'm back to SW last week after a couple of years break from losing just over 5 stone. I've put back on around a stone but not quite. Not bad. I snuck a loss last week but have blown it this weekend after falling into a lake of prosecco and after swimming across I may or may not have ordered cheesy chips. The swim was so debilitating I have no idea. Then repeated last night and had a pub full English this morning. Jeez. It's only week 2 and I'm all over the flipping shop. Came here for inspiration/commiseration and just to say HELLO!

OwlinaTree · 17/09/2017 19:27

I might try and get tickets for Manchester, could do week before Xmas!

IvorHughJarrs · 17/09/2017 19:51

I've been on holiday. Had a lovely week away with DH, DS1 and his lovely GF (extra lovely as they don't live nearby and have very busy lives so time with them is a treat). They are great foodies so our week is spent finding new places, good food and drink and lazing between. Disaster for SW but a lovely week nonetheless.

Came back with a rotten cold so missed WI last week and have struggled this week, partly as we have had DD's birthday and an evening out with friends and partly because I have that funny thing you get when not 100% of not wanting sensible food but not knowing what you really want to eat, I'm even annoying myself with it now! Dread to think what I'll weigh next week Blush

Groovee · 17/09/2017 20:10

Welcome @winefixesall

Welcome home @IvorHughJarrs

Good luck @OwlinaTree, Dd complained of a £18 booking fee on the tickets 😱
