Well done Pass.

Weigh in today for me.

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 05/09/2017 11:35

I'm struggling to keep focused at the moment. Meals I'm eating are all on plan, I just keep wanting to snack and giving in to much.

trills would you mind posting the hummus style dip amounts that you mentioned upthread, sounded nice. I love hummus

christmasunicorn · 05/09/2017 18:26

Weigh in day for me as well groovee one more hour to go. Expecting to sts but hoping for a 0.5lb loss. My scales are certainly not telling me to expect any more

OwlinaTree · 05/09/2017 19:02

Weigh in for me today, 3.5lb off! So that's my holiday gain off, plus .5 of my previous gain due to various events. So 2lb needed to get to previous lowest, then very close to target! I'm thinking another 4.5 lb after that, it's less than half a stone! Wow!

christmasunicorn · 05/09/2017 20:06

1.5 off Grin

MumOfTwoCrazyBoys · 05/09/2017 20:20

Hello Flowers

Brand new to this board, not brand new to SW but returning after a loooong time.

I've not joined a group, am going it alone so I am pleased to have found this thread for a bit of encouragement/idea nicking/keeping me on the right track!

X

Groovee · 05/09/2017 21:19

AngryAngryAngry gained 1lb despite being 100% round my meals out. Peeved off!

Must try harder this week. Well done to those who lost.

passmethewineplease · 05/09/2017 21:47

Well done christmas

Try not to get to disheartened groove could show next week. Our bodies can do funny things sometimes!

Welcome mummy x

lauryloo · 05/09/2017 22:38

2lb off

8lb in total. A woman who joined last week got 8lb at her 1st weigh in today tho Shock

Trills · 06/09/2017 07:33

The dip I make is one of the main things I do with my Nutribullet - green blended juice things were never the plan.

I don't really measure it, but try this and then adjust as you like it.

1 tin chickpeas drained
1 tsp smoked paprika
1 clove garlic crushed (or lazy garlic, or garlic powder)
soy sauce - maybe 1 tbsp?

Give it a whizz - this will be too dry - add a dash of water and whizz again until you get the consistency you like.

I eat half of one of these with carrots and celery (other speed dippable veg is available)

Boatsnack · 06/09/2017 09:19

That sounds good trills I don't have a nutribullet do you think a stick blender would work?

I missed weigh in this week because I had to wait for the gas man, my scales weren't looking optimistic anyway.

Well done to all the losers.

I'm sure that 1lb will have disappeared by next week groovee ps your stovies looked really good it's a pity my dd won't eat links can't find a decent low syn square sausage.

Groovee · 06/09/2017 11:09

@Boatsnack I believe Aldi sell the skinni range of Lorne sausage that's half a syn. Have you tried that.

Boatsnack · 06/09/2017 12:14

Not yet, there's no aldi near me just now but one is opening soon. I tried the malcolm Allan scottish slimmers ones but it wasn't very good although it was dp that cooked it so it might be better if I do it.

Tweetypie30 · 06/09/2017 13:27

Some really good losses, well done everyone.

I lost 1.5 lbs yesterday, that's 6.5 lbs in three weeks for me. Really hoping to get my first award next week.

Ended up falling off the wagon last night and ate pizza, chips and chocolate. Drawing a line under it and back on it today.

Groovee · 06/09/2017 15:10

I'm doing well today! Decided to up my fluid and my speed.

Trills · 06/09/2017 21:12

Stick blender would definitely do it .

No change this week for me.

UnwiseOldElf · 06/09/2017 21:25

2lb off, which gets me back to where I was at end of week 2, after my surprise gain last week (week 3). I'd hoped it would be more (because I gained last week) but a loss is a loss, right?

I realise I've not always been plating up properly: should be a third of the plate speed at every meal. Something to remember this week!

raffle · 06/09/2017 22:00

Anyone else found that their weight loss has slowed down? I've lost just shy of 3 stone, but recently it's been a pound off a week. I've still got 2 stone to go! This is going to take me yonks at this rate! I've not tried SP days yet (cos I don't really get it), so perhaps this is the answer?

Groovee · 06/09/2017 22:20

Raffle yes. 25 weeks I lost 3st. In 10 weeks I've lost 4lb! It's doing my head in.

Tweetypie30 · 07/09/2017 07:40

Does drinking more really help your weight loss Groove? And does it have to be water? I've heard this said a lot by different people but never really given it a try. I drink a lot of tea and a few glasses of water but maybe I should be drinking more water.

MynewnameisKy · 07/09/2017 08:12

Raffle and Groove I really think slow and steady wins the race here. I am just aiming for 1-2 pounds a week.

2lbs a week and you could still have two stone off by Christmas. Smile

I really want this to be a long term "lifestyle " change for me but I'm on my first week so fingers crossed!

Groovee · 07/09/2017 08:39

But 4lb in 10 weeks when being 100% on plan is very disheartening. I know 6 weeks was surgery recovery. But I'm back exercising and had 1 meal off plan and gained.

The only thing I can think is prior to surgery I was on the mini pill and now I'm off it my hormones are finding their feet.

When I did SW in 2005, there was an article about how keeping hydrated on water helps aid weight loss. I aim for 1.5litres by 9am if possible. I possibly drink 3litres a day of water and a can of fizzy juice, the. An odd cup of tea/green tea/hot chocolate.

latedecember1963 · 07/09/2017 10:27

Well done all losers!

I drink lots of water because I like the taste and it helps me feel full.
I had a health check yesterday and my blood pressure is too high as is my cholesterol. I thought I was quite active but I was assessed as moderately inactive which has given me a jolt. I dread to think what my scores would have been back in February. I've been on the Heart UK website for advice and SW seems like a good fit for the additional changes I need to make.

I sometimes feel frustrated by the slowness of my weight loss but it has been fairly steady which is probably better as a long-term solution. I want to lose weight so I can see my son through uni, and have a healthy future with DH, our sons and any future families they may have. What's the old expression, "slow and steady wins the race".

ALemonyPea · 07/09/2017 14:25

Well done losers.

The last stone for me took bloody forever! I lost 6 stone from April - December last year, and it took me from Jan - June to lose the final stone for target. It was an absolute marathon, nearly gave in several times.

MynewnameisKy · 07/09/2017 15:40

So, if you have a totally syn lunch eg. 2 slices of bread with butter. I have counted the Syns but is it still bad because there are no Speed foods in it?

Sorry first week, struggling to work it all out!
