Don't blame you love.

Trills · 03/09/2017 19:22

I'm not a big fan of the kind of veg that belong in "meat and two veg".

Right now I'm eating raw carrot and celery (both speed) with a hummus-like dip made of chickpeas blended with soy sauce, smoked paprika, and garlic (all free).

In my pre-SW days I would have had tortilla crisps, and would have put sesame oil in the dip, but this is still a nice snack.

Was at a party last night, ate well before I went out so only tried a small amount of party nibbles but did drink a lot of drinks.

Morning all. WI tonight and I'm hoping for a loss. The weekend was not as good as the week but hopefully not bad enough to see no result.

Trying for a better week this week. Still hoping for half a stone by the end of September.

Was at the station for 7.30 to drop Dd and her friend off on a school trip!

The tram was roasting on the way home and the house is freezing!

Had my breakfast at 6am... is it lunchtime yet 😂

Good luck to those who weigh in today,

Having mince and tatties for tea.

TurquoiseOwI · 04/09/2017 11:31

2.5 lbs off for me this week, which I'm pleased with. I also got slimmer of the week and slimmer of the month last week Smile

I'm currently 2 st 3 lbs down in 9 weeks...

Hope everyone is doing well x

latedecember1963 · 04/09/2017 11:33

Morning everyone. Haven't been keeping up with the thread recently but I'm going to get back into the habit as it helps me focus.
PA, I realise I'm late but didn't want to ignore your news. My condolences for your mum.💐
Have lost 1lb at WI this morning. I need to lose another 2.5 lbs to get to my club 10 so that's my next goal.
Hope everyone gets the losses they want this week.

ALemonyPea · 04/09/2017 11:42

PA, I' so sorry to hear about your mum. Hope you're being kind to yourself, diet can wait 💐

Well done in the loss and awards Turquoise.

I've been pissing about for most of the week, not been quite on plan, but I'm 6lb down from my huge holiday gain, almost back in range. Finally have a fully functioning kitchen hurrah! Now need to learn how to use my new oven and hob, gone from gas to electric.

Groovee · 04/09/2017 11:43

Well done Turquoise and Late x

passmethewineplease · 04/09/2017 11:52

Can I join?

I've been on and off all summer, gaining two losing 1.. Blush it got to the point where I was just paying to be told I've gained again.

It's been a rough summer. My dad suffered a huge stroke so it's been hard to stay focused.

WI is at 7:30 tonight, I'm just aiming for a loss at the minute!

Trills · 04/09/2017 12:46

Well done Monday morning weighers.

Groovee · 04/09/2017 15:08

Can anyone help me regarding a sports bra? I have no idea where to start with them.

ALemonyPea · 04/09/2017 15:33

Welcome Pass, sorry to hear about your dad. Don't beat yourself up about the gains, you have a valid reason. Sometimes diets have to be put on the back burner while we get our heads sorted.

Groovee, you are of giant norkage, right? I'd suggest going to get measured. I'm a 34E, and my sports bra is a size 14 (Reebok/Nike). If you don't want to get measured, go to Tesco and try some on.

Groovee · 04/09/2017 16:28

I was a 36FF before the holidays. Bravissimo bra is getting loose round the cups but comfy on the back. Was at an extra Burlesque class yesterday and felt i could do with more support at class.

PositiveAttitude · 04/09/2017 18:39

Welcome newbies and well done losers.

Thanks for all the messages about mum. It has been a round of funeral arrangements, flowers, service etc, trying to keep 5 siblings all happy is proving difficult!! Plus trying to keep dad involved without giving him too much to have to think about. Funeral isn't until the 19th, so quite a while yet.

Absolutely kicking myself today!!! I had planned to have 5 days of 1/2 HE B as wheatbran and 2 SP days this week to maximise any potential for any loss realistically to just stop a stress induced gain So wheatbran days went well and today was my first SP. Overnight oats for breakfast which I only have on SP days as I like my HE B in the evening. Lunch time I was in a rush and grabbed a low fat super noodles and added veg to it. Put it in a bowl and then realised that I had royally ballsed up the SP day!!!! So I can't have HE B this evening now. I will stick with the speed and protein for dinner and just hope that the slip up wont have too much of a negative effect.

WI tomorrow and it is not going to be pretty!!

christmasunicorn · 04/09/2017 18:58

Well done turquoise and latedecember
Good luck tonight basin and passme

Go easy on yourself pa and don't beat yourself up about food choices. So what a lunch wasn't sp, there's always tomorrow.

I'm going well, hungry right now and not had enough speed today. Might make a salad for when the kids are in bed. WI tomorrow evening so going easy on the free food

Trills · 04/09/2017 19:05

I thought I would do an SP day today to atone for my drinking on Saturday.

So far I've had:

rye bread (hexb) with quark (p) and marmite with an apple (s)

scrambled eggs (p) with lean bacon (p) and tomatoes (s)

carrot (s) and celery (s) with chickpeas (p) (blended with soy sauce and spices to make dip)

But it's nearly dinnertime and I want noodles or pasta or something carby. I loooooove carbs.

Riversleep · 04/09/2017 19:24

Flowers to everyone having a tough time. I had a terrible weekend diet wise. Great weekend entertainment wise though. Was staying at a friends house and going to another friends 50th birthday. Forgot my book at home, and I hadnt got the hang of what I was going to have anyway. We went out beforehand, and I had Moules for lunch but in a cream sauce. The party was a barbie, so sausages and burgers. Probably not low fat ones! Loads of potato salad and coleslaw, not much green salad, and a delicious banoffee pie! I must say that even after just a couple of days, the pie was a bit too sweet and I could only eat half of it. Id have guzzled the whole slice usually. Im going to have to get back on the wagon quick. Can't not lose weight on the first week!

FoofFighter · 04/09/2017 19:38

Trills, remember your extra heb, could have more bread to carb it up a bit?

I'm struggling badly this week, had a few naughty nibbles that turned into a few more, you know the story, now it's shark week (don't have every month so it can hit hard) and also I've come down with manflu, and I started uni too so am just eating crap really.
but it wont be forever, hopefully a few more days and will feel better and make better choices!

I have noticed though that despite eating not so desirable stuff, I'm eating less than I eat normally, not that that will make much difference I guess! booked a holiday from WI this week.

Groovee · 04/09/2017 19:56

@PositiveAttitude take it easy and don't stress x

Trills · 04/09/2017 20:00

HexB carbs are not the same, sadly. I don't ever "really fancy some cereal" or "really feel like some brown bread".

ALemonyPea · 04/09/2017 20:30

PA, don't put too much pressure on yourself. You're allowed to not diet, you're grieving 💐

Trills, I get you with the need for a carb fix. I'd easily demolish a full sized tiger bread with butter if I could. Or buttery mash with gravy.

Managed a full day on plan today.

Trills · 04/09/2017 20:41

I'm going to put a half nest of noodles in my soup, with also a lot of veg and chicken. So not fully SP but lower in carbs than I would have had by choice.

PositiveAttitude · 04/09/2017 20:51

Thanks everyone, I am not being too hard on myself, honestly! I just know that if I don't stay in control 90% I will go off the wagon 100% and will really struggle to get back on.

Who mentioned tiger bread and butter!!! Shock After WI each week I have a bread roll and butter, only last week I thought I would buy a loaf instead, thinking DH and DS could enjoy it the following day too.......only I cant just have one slice, I couldnt have just 2 slices......... 6 slices later........Blush Blush So I am sticking to the roll tomorrow and I will enjoy it.

BasinHaircut · 04/09/2017 21:35

Well done PA, sometimes you need to keep control of something at times like these. Keep you level IYSWIM.

2lbs off for me tonight, so I've had a cheat dinner. Well was an on plan dinner but then had 5 slices of garlic bread with it! and some ice cream

Back on it in the morning. Want another lb at least next week.

passmethewineplease · 05/09/2017 09:59

Well done basin

PA, I think that's the best way. We're only human!

I'm really pleased. Lost 4.5lb at WI last night. Smile
