Definitely look at having your HEB and A choices. Coconut milk is synned.

Riversleep · 02/09/2017 08:22

I've done better on that today! I found some shreddies at the back of the cupboard and had semi skimmed milk which is a bit of a more reasonable amount. I bought a ton of veg yesterday too, so I'm going to cook up a ratatouille to freeze.

SkeletonSkins · 02/09/2017 09:13

Thanks for the PCOS advice - definitely going to look at reducing those carbs!!

Today's plan is muesli with yoghurt and strawbs for breakfast - has become my go to breakfast as I really enjoy it and does keep my full. (HeB)

Lunch I'm not sure as if yet as will be at my parents but will try and stay as on plan as possible. Maybe soup?

Tea maybe chicken and veg.

Short on food today - food shopping tomorrow! I'm back to work on Monday so need to think about what I'll eat there. I'm thinking fruit as breakfast at my break at 11, then lunchtime I'll have my muesli and yoghurt, and an apple or something. Going to take an Alpen light bar (3 syns) to have when I dip which is 4pm ha and then I'll have my tea obv. I'm the type of person that doesn't really mind eating the same thing each day so if I stick to that routine at least I know I'm on plan.

CaptWentworth · 02/09/2017 09:49

First weigh-in this morning - 3.5lbs off. I'm delighted, although I probably expected more for a first week? They say you always lose more at the start. As long as it continues I'm sure I'll get there Smile

ALemonyPea · 02/09/2017 12:30

Well done Capt.

River, you can have nuts, dried/stewed/tinned fruit as B choice as well, it's not just bread and cereals. I like to have hazelnuts dipped in melted chocolate occasionally for a nice change.

christmasunicorn · 02/09/2017 12:57

Well done capt

Riversleep · 02/09/2017 13:20

Well done Capt. 3 1/2 is great for the first week! Especially when you're getting the hang of it!

Yes I just read the stewed fruit but. I have a windfall of apples I can bake. Better stay off the nuts as I can never stick to one handful!

Groovee · 02/09/2017 13:30

Night out tonight! Going to an Argentina restaurant. Not too keen on on all the bready products. Thinking about having fish.

ibuiltahomeforyou · 02/09/2017 14:06

I've been thinking all week about my new consultant who was advocating some not v healthy choices. It's suddenly come to me that she may have had YEARS of awful eating habits and for all I know, still has disordered eating. She was basically advocating eating more chocolate not less to someone who was struggling. Just seemed like madness to me.

UnwiseOldElf · 02/09/2017 16:26

Thanks, PositiveAttitude (10lb!!! Shock), B1rdonawire, Groovee and Owlinatree. I have been sticking to it 100% despite really really wanting to self-sabotage. I do hope for a better result this week, although (ahem) the medicine doesn't yet seem to be working Confused. Ack.

One positive thing is that I've been trying for years to get my DH to eat better and not just resort to take away or eating out if it's his turn to cook. He did a gorgeous meal of white fish, roast veg and salad the other day - actually looked up a new recipe! (I am aware that sounds hugely patronising but it's been a source of long-standing annoyance for me that he can't/won't cook healthy meals - says it's too difficult - so if I want me and my daughters to eat properly I have to do it myself.) So I'm counting that as a non-scale victory of sorts!

Groovee · 02/09/2017 17:07

My dh won't cook. He's off to the chippy while Ds grumps as he thought it was pasta bake day.

CaptWentworth · 02/09/2017 18:38

Positive I lost 10lbs in one go about 4 months ago, but it took more than a laxative! 🍼Grin

I'm having takeaway tonight. Not sure if I should count it at all...Blush I'm having an evening off. I can do this if I know I get an evening off.

CaptWentworth · 02/09/2017 18:41

What is Argentinian food like Groovee? Sounds amazing.

Our group leader is extremely enthusiastic. Hyperactive maybe, but she's very motivating! No mention of more chocolate though Sad

ibuiltahomeforyou · 02/09/2017 18:49

@CaptWentworth ours is on maternity leave so we have had a few covering. It is a bit odd to have to get used to their differing styles tbh!

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 02/09/2017 22:13

Had a lovely dinner tonight, Lemon chicken
Even my dh commented on how nice the vegetables were in it.

Have enough for left overs tomorrow if dh doesn't nick then first 😁

MinniesAndMickeysNeedCounting · 02/09/2017 22:15

^that smilie looks weird it was meant to be a bigGrin ( Note to self - shouldn't use phones own smilies)

OwlinaTree · 03/09/2017 08:52

Morning all! I'm camping this weekend and have been woefully un prepared. Chippy tea Friday night. Fruit and nuts for breakfast, egg salad and fruit for lunch, Chinese curry, chips and rice in a pub for tea, a few beers etc.

Going to try to stick to plan today. So far banana and apple and coffee. I've done masses of steps so that might help with the loss, and back at work Monday so that should help with the routine.

Camping has been great, bit of a lack of sleep though! My 3yo is loving it and sleeping brilliantly, but the baby not so much. My dh is tolerating it I think, he enjoys the camping but struggles with the lack of sleep. Early night tonight I expect!

Love51 · 03/09/2017 09:13

I'm having to do slimming world without the group due to childcare problems. I've got the books from a colleague who did slimming world lots of times so had spares. It's been going fine, 1/3 speed with every meal, discovered overnight oats. Except now I'm ill. Cold / flu type symptoms. Had to care for the kids yesterday as DH was at work :(
Had 2 poached eggs on toast for breakfast. Might manage an apple later. But basically don't fancy vegetables when I'm ill. Has this come up in class? What's the solution?

OwlinaTree · 03/09/2017 10:16

How much do you feel like cooking? What about making a nice thick veg soup?

Riversleep · 03/09/2017 10:42

Isn't Argentinean food loads of delicious but expensive steak?

I'm staying at a relatives house today then off to a party, so not sure how well I'll do! Had a banana for breakfast. Not sure about lunch or party nibbles , but I'll do my best Grin

Groovee · 03/09/2017 11:40

There was a lot of beef. Had hummus with caviar. Then a steak sandwich but left the bread. Then churros. I rarely go off plan so enjoyed.

My Burlesque fitness class are opening a new class today. So going along. Pulled out a pair of leggings. Put them on. Fitted nicely... size 12!!! Not my primark 14's.

CaptWentworth · 03/09/2017 12:34

Sounds nice. I can't wait to see enough of a difference to go clothes shopping and actually enjoy it! I'm still in maternity jeans which are too big, but my old clothes don't fit well yet

christmasunicorn · 03/09/2017 13:09

If I'm ill the ill just go for whatever I fancy and not worry too much about being on plan. You loose appetite anyway so it's hardly like a massive binge. I usually have cup a soups and pasta in tomato soup with peas, sweet corn and hertz frankfurters. And yoghurts with lots of Pepsi max.

Well I'm on day 5 and so far going really well and have stuck to plan 100%. I think this is the first diet I've ever stayed 100% on because it's so easy. Though saying that The cravings for a bag of crisps this morning were incredibly strong and the Apple I ate just didn't hit that spot. Luckily willpower is strong (after looking up the syn value of every bag we have in the house) and I decided it just wasn't worth it. Result! Total NSV for me as crisps are my weakness.

Only problem I am having is that today I feel awfully bloated and gassy. Is this a normal side effect? Please tell me it won't last long, I have work tomorrow and work with teenagers. Gassy really isn't good BlushConfused

Love51 · 03/09/2017 13:25

owlina veg soup sounds fab but don't want to be cooking. Either sleeping or with the kids. Am having a jacket spuf with beans. No speed :( maybe it is nature's way!

Tweetypie30 · 03/09/2017 15:41

Christmas unicorn, I was really windy to start with but it's not so bad now and I'm in week three.

I'm been really struggling over the last three days. Had a curry and birthday cake on Thursday evening which was fine, I really enjoyed it and felt completely in control, didn't binge, was determined to get right back on plan on Friday. I did until about 5pm, then I fell off the wagon. I've been back on plan all weekend but it doesn't feel easy and I want to stuff my face with syns.

I feel like I just want this week to be over and start a fresh. Weigh in is on Tuesday.
