Morning all.

That SW bashing thread made me laugh. You always get someone come on and tell you it's so simple, just calories in vs calories out and it makes me a bit mad. Yes I'll restrict my intake to 1200 calories per day, but I'll just have a share bag of kettle chips and a kit kat and all will be grand. Err, well you will lose weight yes, but it's not taught you any good habits has it?

Anyway, it's weigh day here and I'm not hopeful I've lost anything but hoping for a small loss. The weekend was yet again filled with birthday meal out and cake and I did indulge a bit. Monday weigh days are not helpful in that respect!

This week I'm away at a theme park for 2 days with an overnight hotel stay so again not holding out much hope but I am aiming for a STS which should be doable.

Mind you, my mum is super nice and if I lose she pays for me, if I stay the same/put on, I have to pay Grin if that's not a good motivator, I don't know what is Grin

So it's 1 pm and so far I have eaten my hexa and hexb, SW chips with mayflower sauce (4) and a tiny bit of baguette which I'm calling 2 syns. I need to eat something decent and speed filled now.

Basin, we are away Weds and overnight into Thurs doing a pitiful Scottish theme park. Planning to eat a good SW breakfast before we go, I'm packing a picnic to take for lunch then it's only tea I need to worry about (not just worrying about me, my dd is allergic to dairy so that limits options even more for eating out)
Taking measured cereal and fruit for Thurs breakfast, lunch will be out but probably Subway or Mcds where I can get something suitable, and then will be back home at teatime.

Means I am missing weigh in this week, I have the option of going to another group on either Fri or Sat mornings, or waiting till Weds when my own group is on again.

foof sounds like a plan! I'm going to try and pack a lunch for Friday, but will eat out Friday night and plan to enjoy it. On Saturday we have a buffet breakfast at the hotel so I'm hoping for bacon, beans, mushrooms and toast to stay on plan and we can have jacket potatoes at the park for lunch. We will be home for dinner hopefully and I've bought SW curries in preparation so that should remove the 'fuck it let's order in' temptation and so in all shouldn't be a complete disaster. I can't promise there will not be ice cream consumed though Grin

You need to get trying loads of speed foods. Ones you haven't tried before and cook them different ways. For example I'm not keen on carrots if they are just boiled, but roasted they are one of my favourite foods. Also roasted butternut squash is Devine but I honestly hadn't tried it a year ago and I'm 34!

Chop stuff up loads and get it into saucy dishes such as chilli/spag Bol.

There's a Cosmo buffet place near where we stay and it'll be a lot of will power to not just go there as normal! Nandos might be ok, will have to check options for DD.

Gosh, I forgot how quickly this thread moves, I've been away for a few days but love reading through all the posts...it's very motivating seeing how everyone is getting on. I had an indulgent weekend so hoping to claw back to avoid a gain this week (lost 8lbs so far over 2 weeks)...WI on Thurs so hope I can do it Smile

Congrats on yours and your mums losses Turquoise, welcome back trinity and good look with your theme park plan foof and your hotel plan basin...I'm learning that SW can fit quite nicely around a social life, in the 2 weeks I've been going so far I've had about 5 nights out and still lost 8lbs! Grin

I've just realised I will have to WI on Wednesday evening instead of Saturday morning this week, and I only restarted on Saturday 😐 Has anyone got any tips ?x- I want to make sure I've actually lost something, even if it's only 1/2 x I'm a slow loser so a bit scared, ta xx

Care, just keep doing what you're doing. Eat light on Wednesday if you want, so salad for lunch and then have your tea after WI.

NSV for me today. Took part in the parents race at DC sports day. First time ever I've done it, felt great. I didn't win, far too many competitive parents.

I lost 3.5lb and got my half a stone so really happy with that!

I brought the sauces book aswell and going to do lots of Bach cooking this week to try stay on plan

I need to have a look for some easy lunch idea to keep things interesting
