Thanks Trills that's really helpful. I've just checked the Tesco one online and it's 237 cals and 7.2g of fibre per 100g so I'm going to go with that.

BasinHaircut · 04/08/2017 12:38

charley just check you are comparing like for like (I.e. Cooked values or as sold etc).

I mistyped there - it was 236g not 326g (as you can see from the link) - looks like they are very very similar.

Good tip Basin.

Trills · 04/08/2017 14:28

*calories. Not g.
I should stop trying to type numbers today.

LavenderRains · 04/08/2017 16:01

I've got a quick quandry....if I've had a shop bought sandwich that is just chicken breast, lettuce, tomato, wholemeal bread and a bit of margarine and I've had no Hex''s yet can I count the bread as HexB and chicken and salad as free foods and just a few syns for the marg? I cannot see how a tiny sarny can be 15-17 synsConfused
I've only had a banana and yogurt so far today.
TIA

ALemonyPea · 04/08/2017 19:31

I'd take 6 syns off for the HEB yes. Sandwiches have a silly syn value don't they!

LavenderRains · 04/08/2017 19:40

Thanks lemony I rarely have shop sarnies but this one was just chicken and salad, no mayo even! I begrudge wasting syns on themGrin

ALemonyPea · 04/08/2017 19:42

If there was no mayo or anything, I'd just syn 6 syns for the one slice of bread, maybe 4 syns for the spread.

I had this for tea tonight, according to the syn calculator. Was lovely.

ALemonyPea · 04/08/2017 19:43

Help if I attached a photo. It was free according to the calculator.

Ooh that looks good!

ibuiltahomeforyou · 04/08/2017 21:57

That looks nice @ALemonyPea!

I have had a terrible week SW wise. DD1's birthday meal on Thursday was followed by birthday cake, then yesterday we had a family meeting which always involves a pub and pub grub. Today I am attending a double funeral service (a man I worked for and his wife) and then onto a very lavish wake afterwards. Monday is the cremation service followed by a meal for family and close friends that I have been invited to. I will be dreading those scales on Tuesday Sad , but I am just so crazy busy with so many stressful things in life at the moment that i cant get my head where it needs to be around food. Perhaps I will just relax for a week or 2 and take a gain and get back to it.

FoofFighter · 05/08/2017 09:44

my goodness, a double funeral sounds so sad :( just do what you can and take the hit?

Finding it a little tough with my alt son and his fiancee visiting, had a bar of tablet and some fried eggs and bacon not trimmed yesterday, not hugely bad I guess but we are out for dinner tonight at a place that;s basically american diner stuff, then off out for the day tomorrow at a country show. I will take some food but I know i'll end up getting a burger most likely.

LavenderRains · 05/08/2017 11:54

PAFlowers sounds tough, just get through it and not worry about food for a couple of weeks. It will even itself out and we all need to live and have meals out, parties etc,

I've been making up sugar free jelly crystals as a quick pud with some strawberries. I've always assumed the jelly was free as it states if you use the calculator. but if you look on the syns online it says 4 synsShock
I'm confused!! Anyone know??

Groovee · 05/08/2017 12:32

I thought you had to syn the packets of jelly as they are so a hartleys one is 1.5 syns per packet no matter how you use it?

caremummy · 05/08/2017 13:49

3lb off 😱 However, I'm off up to Scotland to my feeder grandmas. I'd really like another 2.5/3 this week, won't be in at WI for a fortnight though so going to aim for 5 in 2 weeks. 💚 to you all 💚

FoofFighter · 05/08/2017 14:28

Always been 1.5 per sachet of sugar free jelly asfaik

Trooperslane · 05/08/2017 15:03

Joining.

I'm drinking too much wine and either eating not enough or total crap.

I want to sort all and colleagues are having great success with SW so giving it a go.

I'm not drinking wine with cashews. No

emwithme · 05/08/2017 15:05

I made the NICEST risotto last night (the chicken and bacon one from the Free Foods Feast book). DH said that if I hadn't told him, he wouldn't have known it was a SW recipe. It was so nice I had the leftovers for brunch today!

PA I'd relax, try to eat sensibly (while not necessarily being "on" SW) and then when you're in a better place, get back on the plan. You know you can do it!

LavenderRains · 05/08/2017 15:47

Thanks for the jelly advice. 1.5 it isSmile

Well done care go and enjoy granny's cooking!

latedecember1963 · 05/08/2017 15:57

Thanks for the tip about using quark in overnight oats, Lemony.
PA hope today has gone as well as it can under the circumstances.
This morning I went to the garden centre and didn't have a detour into the café so no syns wasted on latté or cake. There was an ASDA nearby so called in to get some bits and pieces. Treated myself to an ASDA extra special senga strawberry & sherry trifle (125g) for this evening. Have checked the syn value and it's 12 so I'll be eating it very slowly with a teaspoon and making sure I savour every mouthful! Glad I didn't get the chocolate desert with higher fat and calorie content.

Groovee · 05/08/2017 16:51

Well done Care!

I'm on my way home from town with a pair of skinny jeans, size 14!

ibuiltahomeforyou · 05/08/2017 19:37

Well done Groovee!!

ALemonyPea · 05/08/2017 20:38

PA, I think at days like today and Monday you're allowed to go off plan. What a sad few days for you 💐

Well done on the 14s Groovee. Lovely isn't it.

crazycatgal · 05/08/2017 21:01

Hi everyone! I joined SW on the 27th so have been at it for just over a week now. I lost 4lbs in my first week which is good but I get so disheartened when I think about how much weight I want to lose (6 stone.)

How does everyone keep going when they know that their goal is so far away?
